Chapter 39: The Pure Land

    Lin Xi’s eyes flickered and his heart was already full of tears.

    In order to obtain information and complete the task as soon as possible, Lin Xi took the risk by using himself without knowing the surveillance officer. As a result, he accidentally ingested the drug specially made by mutants for slaves and fell on the bed weak for two days. .

    While fighting off the mutants, the young surveillance officer and the human Xenomorph looked for the betrayed Beicheng soldiers. When they were forced to the wall by the mutants, they saw the Lion Claws stretched out its long neck, carrying the city on their backs.

    The mutants began to be thrown off one by one by the bumpy ride. 

   Mu Yechen hooked the lion’s neck with a rope, pulled Lin Xi to escape the fate of being thrown and flew back and forth in the air. They struggled to climb onto the lion’s head, facing the frantic wind and looking at the changing world ahead.

    The eyes of the lion-horned amphibian twitched and when it saw the human xenogeneic and his mutant, the corners of its mouth curved and roared toward the sky and the ground.

    Mu Yechen and Lin Xi also sat quietly on top of each other.

    He took out his gun and was using a knife to inscribe the inside of the barrel.

    There was smoke lingering from the edge of his blade, curling up in the night.

    Lin Xi curiously and quietly stepped forward to take a look.

    It was the Phoenix Fire, a gun gifted by Dr. Mu to his son as an adult.

    Under the moonlight, he saw a row of small characters on this gift.

    ——Protect Lin Xi.

    In the following two years, Mu Yechen began to take Lin Xi to explore places outside the other world through the tasks assigned by the laboratory.

    At first they followed the Lion Claws to the vast sand sea and rode geese through lava depressions, rode cattle and horses across huge craters, followed the insect swarm to visit the abandoned rainforest, and finally saw the north in the cold winter.     The two traveled in this vast world and finally found an island in a vast sea.

    Except for Lin Xi and his surveillance officer, no one found was here.

    They cultivated this pure land, chose a secluded water pool and built a small wooden house beside it.

    “When we return to the other side this time, let’s buy some seeds to sow and when the crops grow here, we can live together here.”

    They discussed the future quietly.

    Four figures are reflected on the tiles.

    Another bucket of icy snow water was poured down from scratch.

    Lin Xi snorted, his white hair was dripping with water and half of his face that had returned, slowly raised his head to look at the unexpected visitor.

    He saw Dr. Ameka and a middle-aged woman who looked to be in her forties.

    The woman was wearing the clothes of an administrator and was sitting in front of him, looking at him from top to bottom.

    But the woman in front of him looked at his abdomen the most.

    He also glanced down.
