Finally, Adelio’s job is over.

“Did you wait long?” Adelio looks sorry for making Chandler wait.

“No. I didn’t. Aren’t you done?”

Adelio and Chandler walk side by side.

When their hands touch, Adelio simply grabs his palm.

Chandler grins.

“I am shocked your capable assistant booked you a reservation without consenting.” Chandler said, squeezing their hands.

“Oh…oh…He isn’t always like that.” Adelio said. The more he says, the quieter his voice.

Chandler chuckles.

It’s a nice romantic dinner.

Adelio made a few blunders due to nervousness.

He made a mistake and said he will keep Chandler.

Adelio said genuinely happy for Chandler.

His happiness affected Chandler a lot.

“I have a talk with your dad this afternoon. He refused my help with moving your sister.”

“He is stubborn. I’ll talk to him later.” Chandler went to the bathroom.

When he came back just wearing a robe. Adelio stares at him.

“Like what you are seeing?”

Adelio’s face blushed but he nodded.

“I’ll take a shower then we’ll sleep.”

“Only sleeping?”

Chandler pulls the loose belt tie but Adelio looks away hurriedly.

“Don’t mess around. We still have to wake up early.” He walks to the bathroom feeling hot.

Chandler chuckles. He put on some night routine cream and other skin tendering treatment. He is still not done even when Adelio is back.

“It’s really hard to maintain a handsome face.”

Adelio said.

Chandler grins and pulls him to put him the same night routine cream.

Adelio closes his eyes and lets him be.

Chandler slowly puts on the cream then he kisses Adelio’s lips.

Just two days, yet this man seems to be getting better and better in making him happy.

The next morning, Adelio was in his office and a small boy was in front of him.

He heard a child saying he is his biological father. This wasn’t in the novel. But he still wanted to make sure so they let them bring him to his office.

He looks at the boy.

He must be 10 years old right?

Damon left to find a change of clothes for him.

“Bring back my body!”

“???”

“I am Adelio Conrad!”

“!!!!!”

“I….when I wake up I am in this boy’s body. If I don’t escape, that bastard of a father will kill me.”

There are tears in that boy’s eyes.

But then he remembered something.

“You kinda deserve that after you get so obsessed with someone and ruin so many lives because of that.”

The boy flinched.

“I….Is that the reason you brought me back to the past and stole my body?”

“No. I don’t know how I became you.”

“Help me! I don’t care anymore. Just get me out of that guy’s hand. I will die at this rate. I promise I will change! Just give me a chance.” The boy said, crying.

“Okay! I will help you.”

He said seriously.

“……you’re giving me back everything to me right?”

“Sure but let’s do halfsies.”

“But everything is mine!”

“But I am you now. What do you expect me to do?”

“This evil demon. You stole everything from me.”

“Not entirely true. It was given to me by someone who put you in that body. Technically speaking, I am you now so this is all mine. You aren’t even related to me at the moment so what will be your claim in this?”

“So you are saying that I should shut up and be happy for preserving my other half of MY OWN money?”

“This is so unfair.” The boy clenched his fist tightly.

The boy angrily clenched his fist.

“Cloud Mendez.”

“The board members won’t listen to a child.” Adelio said sorry.

“You will say it on my behalf!” The child shouted.

“You better speak nicely toward me, you brat.”

He frowns.

Adelio grins.

“Okay!”

“You seriously sound like a fool.”

“I can’t hear you.” Adelio ignores him.

Damon came back with a new set of clothes for Cloud.

“Traitor!” Cloud angrily pointed at Damon.

Adelio grabs him and covers his mouth.

“I’m sorry, Damon. This child has no manners.” Adelio smiles wryly.

“It’s okay,boss.”

“Go ahead. I’ll deal with him.”

“Alright.”

Damon looks at the boy then leaves.

“Let me go! You know about me so you should know about Damon too! He is a traitor who will sell information to our enemy!”

“Because you push him to do that. Stop acting like a brat. Damon is a huge asset to this company and he will stay as long as I’m here.”

“Fool!”

“You are more than a fool if you want to fire a competent employee.”

“What is the use if he is a traitor?”

“He is not. Just relax.”

“Relax? Every minute I thought my life would be over. Everyone is my enemy! I have to do everything because they are all incompetent!”

Adelio covers his ears.

“You are so noisy.”
