Enters Naive Ceo Damon’s Mistake

“Good Morning,Boss.” Damon said.

Adelio looks at him.

“I need to talk to you.”

“Okay.”

Damon was confused.

He doesn’t remember doing anything wrong.

But Adelio looks so serious.

Adelio sat on his chair and put his small bag with a new water tumbler and his packed lunch.

Adelio seriously looks at Damon.

“What is wrong, boss?” Damon asks.

“Yesterday….Um…Well, what do you think of me and Mr. Alvaro?”

“Well….it was the first time you wanted to have an intimate relationship with an artist so I’m a little surprised but it wasn’t that uncommon.”

Adelio’s eyes widened.

“Intimate…relationship?”

“You did say you wanted to keep him. And you even propose to buy him things and support his career.”

“Oh..I..I know that. Like you said this is my first time so I am not used to it yet. Yeah…Um. You called the hospital? How about his dad?”

“I already called. We just need to talk to his father and we can transfer his sister to a better hospital. Since it wasn’t proper to ask without the family consent, I didn’t dig deeper. If she needs a specialist then we can just find the best treatment. I already called and his father was going to arrive here at 3pm.” Damon explained but he paused and stared at Adelio.

“Can I ask you something?”

“Go on.”

“Why are you doing so much for him? I understand that keeping someone means you will take care of them in exchange for what you two have. But you don’t really have to care for him as a person, right?”

“Why not?”

“I just fail to see how being with someone is worth so much trouble. I’m sorry for prying. I’ll go back to my desk.”

But he was thinking about it.

Truth be told, he was just helping cause he sympathized with Chandler.

The keeping stuff was his own misunderstanding.

What would he lose?

The money he has now just luckily fell in his hands.

So it was easier for him to be generous.

But in other people’s eyes. It might really be something foolish.

“Damon, thank you.”

He thinks Damon is trying to help him. Warning him. Giving advice indirectly.

“I don’t understand why you are thanking me.” Damon said.

“Nothing. I’m just thanking you as a friend. Go back. I know you have work to do.”

Damon left the room but was confused.

He sighs.

“How the hell did you hook up with Mr. Conrad? You were even reluctant to meet him yesterday and today you are leaving his house lovey dovey?” Nate gives him a coffee. His voice is very quiet so he won’t be heard by other people that are also going for today’s audition.

Chandler looks up from reading the script.

He smiles.

“He said he wants to take care of me.”

Nate rolls his eyes.

“Don’t they all say that? But you keep rejecting them?”

“He is more handsome and generous than most of them. And he is single, handsome.”

Nate gives him a look.

“Okay. I guess you do like him more. But don’t fall in love. You know people like him won’t be good for long. Get everything you can get when they still like you a lot. I will talk to him later. Don’t come. You might get hurt if you hear what we will talk about.”

Chandler shakes his head.

“I want to be part of it. Even if he says something inappropriate, I’ll still take it. If I only hear good things and avoid the bad things, won’t I just fall into the illusion of love?”

“Fine. For now make sure you focus your every soul to this audition.

If you get the second male lead, it’ll be a huge step for us and we might even use it to negotiate more with Mr. Conrad.”

“I know.”

Warren looks at Adelio. Beside him is his secretary.

He heard from his son what was happening.

He said he might get a call one of these days.

But he didn’t expect it to happen that very day.

He was against his son becoming an artist for a selfish reason. He was his illegitimate son and as a celebrity, their past might be ungrounded for other people to criticize and feast on.

The shame and the public harassment, he wanted to avoid them.

But as a father who has barely been in his son’s life, he really has no right to stop him for what he wants to do.

Now that his daughter was in the hospital, his wife committed suicide and his falling business all made him look 10 years older than his actual age.

He can’t believe that he was once so proud of himself yet a simple push ruins his life.

There are times he wanted to just end his life and forget everything.

He is so desperate when he reads his son’s text. He silently consented for his child to sell himself for money.

He is at the rock bottom of life and the only thing that is holding him up is the fact that if he dies. His son and daughter might come after him and he refused to give up. So even if it’s small, he wanted to give it a fight.

“Hello Sir.”

“Hi.”

The meeting was very quick. They don’t say anything else outside business.

Right now, Warren’s company was in debt and collapsing.

The urgent matter can easily be solved by money.

Adelio will invest 200 Million.

But he wants half of the company’s share and the right to meddle with the company’s decision. Despite his unfavorability on the meeting Adelio…no..Damon still does not get more benefit from him as per Adelio’s request.

They finally signed the contract as soon as they finished with both their lawyers present.

Warren looks at Adelio.

“That….about Chandler.”

“Chandler is now living with me. But he has a house in Stella. Where do you live? You can stay in his house in Stella. It was near the city.”

“No…I..Still prefer to stay in our house. It was near my daughter’s hospital.”

“I also told Chandler I will be responsible for his sister. If you want we can transfer her to a better hospital. The bill will be on me. If she needs a specialist. Let’s find her one.”

“Sir, you don’t have to do this! She is my daughter and as long as I am alive, I will do my best to support her.” Warren’s pride was a little bruised. He can’t even protect his wife. If he let other people take care of his daughter then why is he still alive?”

“Mr. Alvaro, I think you are taking my help lightly. I am doing this not to hurt you. This is one of your son’s requests from me.” Adelio folded his hands.

Truthfully, he was shocked when he raised his voice.

Adelio sighs when they leave.

“What should we do?” Damon asks.

“What else? I can’t forcibly take liberties. I am just an outsider.” Adelio looks at Damon.

“Forget about that for now. How about the thing I talk about ? We have to find a way to support Chandler but I’m really not sure where to start.”

‘You have been doing nonstop for him since yesterday.’

Damon wants to comment but he is still Adelio’s employee.

“I have prepared a new contract for him. We will talk to his manager about giving up all his other artists to focus solely on Chandler’s career. If not, we will just find someone else who can do that. I also have a list of 20 potential PA’s for him.”

“How many PAs should he get? He also needs a personal van for his outfits and resting place when he is out right?”

‘That much?’

“He is not a big star yet. If he had so much, others will find him pretentious.”

Adelio gasps.

“That’s true…”

In the evening, Nate and Chandler came to the office together.

“Make sure you don’t say anything that will be disadvantageous to us. I’ll lead the negotiation, you just stay there and support me.”

Nate said, fixing his tie in front of the boss’s office door.

“I know. Relax.”

Chandler chuckles.

Nate glares at him.

“You don’t know how sly those businessmen are! If you think he will be as compromising in bed as he was when signing a document then you are wrong. Just stick to the plan and we will be fine….Does he likes you a lot? Flirt a little with him so he will be easier to deal with. But not too much that he will get irritated.”

“Fine. Fine.”

“I’m saying this for you!”

“I know.”

“This guy.” Nate snorts and finally knocks on the door. Upon receiving a response, he opened the door.

They walk to the large office.

Nate sat on the guest’s seat while Chandler walked to Adelio and kissed his lips in front of his manager and Damon. Damon looks away unbothered while Nate gapes a lot.

“Sit down” Adelio shyly said flustered after an intimate kiss.

Chandler sits on his lap and flirts with Adelio a little. After being hugged tightly while his hands are grabbed firmly, he finally stops.

“Okay. I give up. I’ll sit properly. Can you let me go?” Chandler asks sweetly in Adelio’s ears.

Adelio lets him go.

His face shows how mad he was. It’s as red as the monkey’s butt.

Chandler sat on the guest’s seat, and finally the talk started.

“You wanted me to be his personal manager?” Nate asks, shocked.

“Isn’t that too much?” Chandler is just a B list actor at most. He only has a few side character roles. He got the second male lead role in this movie now but Nathaniel has a few A list Artists under him. Nate is even giving him a few of his time to show how much he appreciates him as an actor.

“It’s not too much. I planned to pour resources to Chandler. He is capable of becoming a superstar. If his manager is not that dedicated, I can’t be assured.”

Adelio said seriously.

“I will give you compensation. I know that you are not a simple manager.”

Adelio said the compensation was in the form of a contract.

“I accept!” Nate said immediately.

He likes his job as a manager but he is also human. That amount is enough for him to be a manager of 2 top artists! He accepts it with all his heart. Plus he agreed on one thing, Chandler is a capable artist. If he really can, he wants to give him more resources but he has a lot on his plate.

Chandler looks at Adelio.

Adelio saw it and smiled at him.

Chandler felt helpless. All he can do is smile back.

“I don’t plan to interfere much. You know best what Chandler needs. If you need anything, call me or my assistant Damon.” Adelio said.

“I understand. Also…You two are living together. Is it alright if people know this?” Nate asks.

“It’s not like it was a crime. It was fine.” Adelio said.

The three other people looked at him wide eyed.

“But it might be bad for Chandler’s career. So let’s not speak about it to others. But if you have no choice then, it isn’t really a big deal. Just deal with it so it won’t create a problem”

Adelio said.

“Oh…Okay.” Nate has heard how much support Adelio was meant to give Chandler and was already dizzy. But now, he doesn’t know if he will ever recover.

‘Is this how you get a sugar baby now? It’s like treating a Queen! Too much? Does this guy know what is too much?’

“I see. We will go now.” Nate said.

“Oh…Are you two going somewhere?” Adelio asks, looking at Chandler.

“That…Damon made a mistake and got us a reservation for tonight.” Adelio said, trying to avoid Damon’s judging eyes.

Chandler looks at Damon.

Then he looks at Adelio.

He then slyly smiles at Nate.

“Fine. I’m going.” Nate left the room defeated.

He shakes his head and walks away.
