Enters Naive Ceo GT209 is better than Love

“Damon, can you come to my office?” He called in the intercom.

Damon walks to Adelio’s desk.

“I am conflicted about what to get. Is this car better than this car? What would be safer and more stylish for a 20-ish guy?”

He is really confused.

His father’s car has been with them since he was young and it was well maintained. He always thinks it was a nice car but some of his classmates talk about cars and their specs at school and he doesn’t have any to weigh in. He thinks cars should be safe and pretty. That’s all his requirements.

But Chandler is an artist. Even a small hole in their clothes will be a serious discussion for other people. It might even be a source of scandalous rumor. You’ll never know what kind of colorful imagination black fans can get for a few minor things.

If he would spend money on something. Make sure it is worth it.

“This one is a new design and many people rate it highly.”

“Oh? It’s relatively new? Then we can’t get this.” He sighs. He actually likes it too but it can’t be helped.  Chandler’s family is middle class at best but due to some trouble, they won’t be able to afford a new release brand new model.

“If you want to buy something and make sure it won’t affect Mr. Alvaro’s image then how about this model. It was not the latest model but it was also not cheap. It had a high rating.”

“Ohhh It looks good. I will send him some pictures so he can take a pick. How about you? Have you decided? This model will look so good to drive, how about it?” Adelio pointed at their first choice car.

“It’s too expensive.”

“What about? A man of your caliber deserves it. Choose the best color and then buy it. Put it in my tab. Oh and I’ll bother you to buy Chandler’s car too.”

“Thank you,boss.”

“Go. We will go early to join the party later. It was a party mainly due to your success so you can’t be late.”

Damon smiles.

“Okay.”

“Ah?” Adelio was gaping as he stares at Damon’s back as he left the room.

“Goodness, that man can smile! I should make him realize his inherited gift. He should try modeling.” He nods.

“Too capable. It’s hard to hold that kind of talent back. But I am now someone without business acumen. I can’t let him go. What a sin I’m committing for money.”

He sighs helplessly.

Damon is sitting on the bar drinking alcohol. He puts the glass down and asks the bartender for another glass.

“Did I make you wait for long?” Zandrei grins. He has always been a show stealer since highschool. Damon and him are classmates and rivals. 

Zandrei has always thought highly of Damon and uses all means to recruit him even back then.

Damon and Zandrei even have a sexual relationship due to this pursuit. But they fall apart because Damon can’t reach the world Zandrei is on.

And Zandrei is not someone to be tied down.

But lately, Zandrei has been eager to recruit him again.

And due to his dissatisfaction, he even entertained the idea. But not anymore.

“I won’t be leaving ICY. My boss expresses his desire to tie me to ICY.” Damon gives a satisfied grin.

Zandrei’s smile disappears.

He is so sure he can rope Damon to his side.

“Damon, I know Adelio more than you do. That guy looks clean but he is not. He only cares about profit and he is a sore loser. He can’t possibly take you seriously. He must be baiting you now but later, you’ll see how he truly is.”

“I have been with him for a decade and two years. And you say you know him better than I do? You really…think the world doesn’t revolve if you are not around right?”

He looks at Zandrei seriously.

“This is my final decision. Thank you for your kind offer but I’m staying at ICY. Please don’t contact me again.” He paid for his drink and some tip to the bartender and walked out the bar without looking back.

Zandrei clenched his fist but he was not that angry. He considered this outcome either. Even for a money crazy like Adelio, he can’t possibly let go of his best employee.

“What would I do to get you back?” He once had him in his hand. But he can’t take the same commitment as his so he got suffocated. He wanted a more relaxed relationship. Work, fuck, enjoy. That’s the best way to enjoy life. But Damon likes more. A piece of his heart, a part in his future. He got scared. But after so many years, he wasn’t able to recover from it. He always thought it was him who gave up. But somehow, he always feels like Damon is the one that let him go.

After leaving the bar, Damon looks at the half crescent moon.

“Did I sound cool just now? I feel like I did. But it is no cooler than my new GT209.”

He walks to his new car and rubs his palm to the hood of his new car.

“I will worship you, Boss Adelio.” He doesn’t need love. He wants more money. He will be so rich that his retirement life will be so much more relaxed and enjoyable.

Damon was late to the company’s party but Adelio forgive him after saying he just got his car and the police stop him because of his unregistered car. The kind Adelio understood that it was really hard when you get stopped for doing something wrong and just told him to register his car first before driving it next time.

Damon confirms that his boss has changed. No. It was so different that it was like a scifi/thriller movie plot. But he likes a kinder boss so he just ignore the difference.
