Adonia’s soft face turned uncharacteristically red, as Crown Prince Adelian gripped him tightly around the waist, staring at the distraught boy with cool, emotionless eyes. His heart pounded as the Adelian’s fingers dug into his soft flesh, holding him just inches from the Prince’s body. Adelian’s grip was firm but not forceful, as if he was holding a mere possession rather than a person.Â
Adonia opened his lips to say something, but no words came out, as he was utterly captivated by the Crown Prince Adelian’s ruby stained gaze.
“I really didn’t know that the Young Master Valdeen was such a clumsy little thing. Surely, your brain is as brilliant as your beauty.”Â
Adonia snapped out of his dazed thoughts about some useless details as he furrowed his lips into a frown.
He then swallowed dryly, looking up at the Crown Prince Adelian’s expressionless face. “I’m sorry,” Adonia managed to say, “I didn’t mean to…” his voice trailed off as he realized Prince Adelian’s strong arms were still around his waist, holding him captive. He tried to pull away, but Adelian’s grip was as strong as iron, and he would not yield.
As if the contained and protected mana crystal hidden behind the gold and lavender colored and lined chained locket could sense the anguish seething within Adonia, making do to the absolute impossible and surged out a powerful wave of mana, that threatened to fully burst within the mana crystal, but before it could be released, Adelian’s grip tightened and his own mana surged in like a tsunami. His own mana acted as an impenetrable barrier and shield, enveloping himself and overwhelming Adonia completely, causing the mana crystal’s power to dissipate like a candle blown by the wind.Â
Adonia gasped as he realized what had happened and struggled to break free from the prince’s grip, but it was like trying to move a mountain.
The locket snapped free from the hold of its gold enclosure and fell loudly to the ground.Â
The prince looked down at the fallen locket, his eyes flickering with a hint of curiosity at the subtle mana coming from within the piece.
“Such a dazzling piece of locket you have in your possession.” He performed his words with a sense of ease and elegance that only made Adonia become pale and his palm sweat profusely without stopping.
“Such a shame for it to be broken, it was my favorite jewelry. Its design was personally chosen by me but I didn’t have any idea it worked like that.” Adonia was internally sweating and decided to play dumb.
He titled his head low, his eyelashes fluttering delicately, casting shadows over his sea-colored eyes. A shy, rueful smile curved the corners of his cherry-pink lips, exuding a guilty innocence like a painting of an enchanting mermaid floating in the azure depths of the sea.Â
He hoped that his guileless expression of submission and charm would soften the prince’s harsh attitude, that Adonia’s gentle nature and soft spoken words would soothe the prince’s smoldering anger.
“Hmm…” Adelian’s hold became tighter to the point of making Adonia’s eyes water in pain.
Adelian laughed slightly as he finally let him go.
Adonia breathed out in relief and instantly bowed to the Crown Prince.
“I apologize for my rude behavior. I would be extremely honored if the Crown Prince could forgive me,” he said, blinking his long eyelashes.
Adelian gave him an icy gaze, so cold that it nearly froze him.
“Unauthorized magical items are not permitted in the Imperial Halls, but…”
Adelian suddenly changed his strict stare to be more gentle, surprising Adonia.
“As you know, I was tired of dealing with such esteemed noble guests, so I thought I would rest at my personal residence for a while, but I didn’t expect to run into you.” He wondered out loud.Â
Adonia didn’t expect for the Crown Prince Adelian to be so frank about his inner feelings and not even sugar coat his words.
“Umm..is that so? I just wanted to take a look at the beautiful flowers in the Imperial Garden but I don’t know how I stumbled this far.” Adonia replied with a calm and cool voice.
Adonia had already realized that he somehow stumbled into Adelian’s backyard while trying to escape from that irritating Eullian.Â
Fortunately, they had bumped into each other in an inconspicuous hidden cavity in the nook of the backyard that didn’t make many servants’ eye befall there but he just had to bump into the Crown Prince Adelian himself.
He didn’t know why these spoiled royal princes were so unguarded but being not noticed by wandering servant eyes made it easier on himself.
“Oh is that? You were out of the imperial hall?” Adelian questioned.
“Yes, it was getting very crowded and there were a few groups of noble guests who also thought of that idea. I had just ignorantly followed them.” Adonia bowed his head as if showing Adelian of his supposed bashfulness.
As they whispered and muttered, Adonia was almost frightened by the appearance of multiple red and white uniformed imperial guards who looked at both of them with surprised gazes.
“Your highness, please forgive our insolence!” They quickly kneeled on the ground with their heads lowered in an exaggerated bow.
Adonia felt his stomach woefully churn as he witnessed some of the guards’ cheeks coating pink.
He could only imagine what disgusting thoughts they could be thinking and he could only pray that if they spreaded any rumors, it won’t go to his family’s ears, especially his parents’ ears.
“It has only been a moment since a lost lamb accidentally wandered into my residence. Apparently the Imperial Palace is very confusing to some of the nobles. As Imperial Guards, it is your duty to ensure that everyone is safe and out of confusion,” Adelian frowned deeply, his eyes flashing red with anger at the arrogant guards who thought they were learned and qualified enough to measly evaluate the nobles.
The guards’ faces turned ashen, and they apologized profusely.
“We sincerely apologize for our carelessness. We will do our best to prevent this from happening again in the future.” The captain of the guard bowed even deeper, as if burying his head in the ground.
One of the other guards though was more daring, as he gave a fierce glare to Adonia, as if it was Adonia’s fault for them to be scolded by the Crown Prince.
Adonia was slightly dumbfounded at this but Adelian who was curt and assertive did not take it very well. He speedily walked towards the kneeling guard and kicked him in the stomach, surprising the other guards and Adonia himself.
“Crown Prince Adelian, what are you doing?” Adonia’s face scrunched in astonishment.
“Teaching rebellious servants a lesson. Who are you to glare at the son of a duke?” Adelian questioned with slight venom lacing his tongue.Â
“Please, please! Forgive that insolent guard, your highness!” The leader of the guards almost had a teary face.
“Did I give permission for you to speak, Ronald?!” Adelian glared at Ronald who nearly peed in pants at the ferocity of the glare.
Not only him but all the other guards under his measle tutelage were shaking as well, including the guard who was also groaning in pain after being kicked by Crown Prince Adelian.
“This lowly one deserves death!” Ronald bowed even lower than humanly possible.
“Crown Prince! They just made a simple mistake, please forgive them once!” Adonia could help vouch for the poor guards.
He flinched as he thought Adelian would be angry at him instead, but surprisingly, Adelian gave out a refreshing smile.
The smile was so pure and out of touch with the current happenings, the guards couldn’t help but stutter silently.
“My my, it seems I got quite heated. Stand up, and get back to your positions.” He offered.
The guards quickly stood themselves up.
“Ronald, make way for Tyson in the disciplinary quarters. And heed my words.”Â
A momentarily cold look had Ronald nodding like a mentally challenged duck. The guards soon left the residence.
“Your highness!” Adonia widened his eyes as Adelian suddenly grabbed his wrist.
It felt a lot like deja-vu.
“How about we have a little chat and eat our hearts out. This is the time the royal banquet starts after all. Since you would just be a hindrance if you go there now so flippantly, you can just join me for a meal and then we can go back in our separate ways.” He smiled like the sun, as if the coldness that emitted from him once upon a time was just a mere illusion.

In the spacious Imperial Throne Chamber, three noblemen were engaged in deep discussion, their words weighted a sense of significance.Â
On one side was the Duke Valdeen, a stern, imposing figure with piercing eyes and an intimidating bearing. On other side of him was the Duke Yisphen, a pale mustache twirling man with his astuteness and quick-wit, listening intently to the conversation while scanning the room with his eyes.
In the center, stood the Emperor himself, his commanding presence radiating power and authority, his face carefully groomed into an expression of quiet contemplation.
Duke Valdeen spoke first, his voice gruff and authoritative. “Your Majesty, we must take action against the South. Those arrogant rebels have become too bold after the Blue Master dared to betray us. We must send in a legion of our finest soldiers to defeat them and restore order to the region.”
Emperor Aedos replied with a commanding voice. “The Blue Master remains a problem. Reports indicate that he is becoming increasingly bold and ignoring our laws. We cannot allow this to continue. We must deal with him.”
Duke Shifen nodded and looked calculatingly at the situation. “That is certainly true, Your Majesty. However, I agree that swift action is necessary, but a more strategic approach may achieve better results. What if we send the force of our most skilled agents, The White Lion Legion, to infiltrate their camp and dismantle them from the inside?”
“White Lion Legion? Why would we waste our powerful backings into a petty rebellion? I say we should use the Red Master as our vault. All those sorcerers are cunning and fickle, and it would be quite entertaining to see them have a cockfight.” Duke Valdeen interrupted with a haughty stance.
“The Red Master? Your grace, you may speak well but are you sure the Red Master won’t betray us?”Â
Duke Yisphen interjected, his voice full of doubt, “Indeed, as you well say, Duke Valdeen, the Red Master possesses great power and skill, but his loyalty and…unpredictability cannot be overlooked. We can hardly trust that he will follow our orders and act on our behalf without the risk of betrayal, can we?”
Duke Valdeen raised an eyebrow at Duke Yishen and retorted, “The Red Master is not only a skilled and cunning Sorcerer, but also one of the renowned Royal Tutors for our princes. And let us not forget,” he continued, a hint of disdain in his voice, ‘that he too harbors a personal history with the Southern Master, as both were once ardent love rivals for an illustrious dancer. I have no doubts about his loyalty to us, for his past grievances with the Blue Master will prove to be an ironclad guarantee of his allegiance.”Â
Duke Yisphen was surprised to hear that, “But your Excellency,” he questioned. “The dancer is only a male omega surely they could—”
Duke Yisphen instantly paused as he felt the eyes of both the Emperor and the Duke looking at him as if he was an idiot so he changed his voice to a more agreeable one.
“I-I meant If the only reason the Master of the North owes his loyalty to us is a childhood grudge, can we really trust him? After all, he is the one who won the dancer’s hand in the end.”
The Emperor replied, with a small, meaningful smile on his face. “Duke Yisphen, you must understand that the Red Master is not driven by a simple grudge over love. Alphas never forget past grievances, and the Red Master is no exception. Just like…”
Duke Yisphen felt a sudden change in the atmosphere and shivered. Glancing back and forth between the Emperor and the Duke, he noticed the Emperor’s cold expression and the Duke’s indifferent attitude. Deep down, he couldn’t help but wonder what was brewing inside the Emperor’s blond head that he would sometimes taunt the Duke for so apparent reason, but he didn’t dare ask.
“So, Duke Valdeen, how is your family? I heard that your youngest son has enchanted everyone in the territory with his heavenly appearance. That is quite a feat. I think he surely resembles his beauty—.” Emperor Aedos suddenly changed the topic and turned his attention to Duke Valdeen. His eyes flickered with a strange gleam.
“Emperor Aedos, I must say that the empire is in danger because of a mad magician running wild. Shall we complete our duty first?” The duke’s voice was cold and controlled, but his eyes showed burning anger.
The duke’s face was a mask of barely contained rage, his steely eyes fixed on the lustful emperor, his gaze fierce and menacing. His jaw was clenched, his lips were tight, and his muscles were tensed in a desperate attempt to suppress his alpha instincts.
Meanwhile, Duke Yisphen’s face was full of surprise and fear, his eyes were wide, and his expression was a mixture of shock and disbelief. He felt the tension in the air, the thickness and weight of the Alpha pheromones.
He instinctively shrank back, his heart rate increasing as he tried to suppress his Beta instincts in the face of the powerful Alpha pheromones that filled the air. Faced with the Duke’s rage, he couldn’t help but feel fear and awe, and instinctively took a step back, as if to distance himself from the dangerous Alpha.
The Emperor quickly changed his tune and tried to calm the Duke’s anger with a light-hearted comment: “Of course, my friend, I was just jesting with you,” he said in a voice that exuded false charm.
“Let’s get back to work,†he said, again in a businesslike tone.
He then turned his attention to both of the dukes, Duke Valdeen and Duke Yisphen. He assigned them the roles of supporting the Empire against the forces of Blue Master.

The dining chamber in the Crown Prince’s residence was luxurious and elegant, with soft silk curtains hanging from the walls and intricate carvings on the ceiling. A few servants moved silently around, as they attended to Adelian and Adelian lords with their errands before disappearing into the shadows. Soft, melodious music filled the air, and the strings of the harp could be heard lilting from the next room.
It created the perfect atmosphere of intimacy and secrecy.
On the table before them was a sumptuous array of food, including a variety of meats, breads, and fruits, all carefully arranged and plated with artistic flair.
Adelian sat next to Adonia and watched him with curiosity.
His eyes lingered on the boy’s face, tracing the curve of his nose and the softness of his lips. He picked up a ripe plum, sliced it open with a sharp knife, and offered it to Adonia.
“Try this,” he said in a low, sensual voice. “It comes from my private orchard, grown with loving care by our farmers and their own hands. I guarantee it’s perfect.”
Adonia took the offered fruit from the Adelian’s hand, his fingers touching the prince’s. He bit into the plum, the soft fruit bursting with sweetness in his mouth, the juice making his lips glisten. He looked up at the prince, swallowed, and nodded, his cheeks flushing slightly.
“Delicious,” he whispered softly, his eyes roaming the crown prince’s face, studying his every feature.
‘He really looks like Aedos.’ Adonia sighed as he continued to indulge in the sumptuous feast, hoping to distract himself from conversing with the unpredictable prince. After a while of eating fruit and vegetable based dishes, he picked up a piece of smoked salmon with his fork and took a big bite. The rich taste of the fish made his mouth water.
His fingers moved deftly and precisely inside his mouth. Nervous yet polite, he kept his elbows off the table and chewed his food with his mouth closed. His manners were perfect, every movement smooth and graceful, but the prince’s presence still made him uneasy, and his heart continued to beat a little faster than usual.
“Ahh, why do you look so worried? Since you agreed to have the banquet with me, you have escaped the consequences of your near treasonous ordeal, for now.” Adelian laughed as he started to feast on his food too, but most of his attention was still on Adonia’s eyes.
As Crown Prince Adelian continued to speak, Adonia thoughts began to wander, Adelian’s voice faded into the background as he became lost in his own thoughts. He stares down at his plate, his eyes unfocused, his expression distant.
‘He said ‘for now’, he really is blackmailing me.’ Adonia sighed.
“And we will be future classmates, so we have to see each other more often. We should just get along from now on.”
At that, Adonia quickly the sound suddenly brought Adonia back to reality as he snapped his attention back towards the Crown Prince with widened eyes and a dazed expression.
‘He already knew?’ Adonia didn’t expect that.
“Second Prince Eullian! Please, His highness forbids anyone from entering his personal chambers!”
“Intruder! Intruder!”
“Oh! Second Prince, spare me!”
Suddenly, a commotion outside the dining room caught both of their attention and interrupted the beginning of their discussion. The panicked screams of servants pierced the air. Adonia sat bolt upright, his heart pounding. Second Prince Eullian suddenly burst into the room, his face pale.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Eullian walked up to Adonia. In a sharp, stern voice. “What on earth are you doing here?” he roared in cold, cutting words, exuding obvious annoyance and irritation at Adonia.
Adonia’s eyes widened at the unexpected intrusion, his heart pounding at the sudden appearance of the Second Prince. He tried to remain calm, but a sudden sense of anxiety coursed through his veins.
“Eating. We are indeed eating and chatting, no need to be so vulgar, brother.” Adelian chimed in, his expression was unexpectedly playful with a hint of detachment in his low voice.
Eullian glared at Adelian, who was smug and indifferent to the heinous temper of his brother. Adonia nervously coughed loudly, turning the attention back to him.
“I am sorry for earlier, Second Prince Eullian. I was very much panicked and afraid of the appearance of the servants behind us that I unwittingly yelled. I thought you were running beside me but it seems I was wrong.” Adonia said with a soothing, soft voice that he sweetened so much that it particularly oozed honey.
“Yes, and Young Master Valdeen ended up getting lost in my backyard so I offered him to rest here.” Adelian finished the lie for Adonia.
They unexpectedly worked well together.
Eullian did not change the angry glimmer in his harsh crimson hued eyes and then also scoffed angrily.
“Do you two think I am a kid?” He asked.
“We are all kids, Second Prince Eullia—” Adonia replied more quickly than necessary but was interrupted.
“Shut up!” Eullian yelled.
“Oh dear brother! It is not right to yell at our esteemed and beautiful guest. Why don’t you sit down with us and dine and listen to us?” Adelian said gently with a soft smile as if he was trying to dote on a small crying child.
“Yes, yes! Please, Second Prince!” Adonia nodded vigorously.
Just as Eullian was about to decline the invitation, his stomach growled loudly.
“…”
Adonia and Adelian looked at Eullian.
“Ha ha ha!” One of them burst out laughing.
“You…” Julian turned bright red as he wanted to slice Adonia’s face.
“Come on, come and dine with us, brother. You wouldn’t want the Empress to know about your bad habit of treating your guests badly!” Adelian grinned.
Adonia had expected Eullian to be angry, but Julian listened to his Crown Prince Brother Adelian’s words, looking like he had a libation.
As they continued to eat, Adelian made small talk with both of them.
“After we finish…let us return to the gathering.” Adelian ordered.
“Separately, right?” Adonia quickly added with a quick bite of his lips.
Eullian and Adelian, who were both focused on the action for a moment, looked up at Adonia’s eyes and said nothing.
‘Eh, uh oh! Both of these brothers will be the end of me.’ Adonia sighed for the umpteenth time.

A/N: I can’t believe this chapter is already ten chapters long since I am actually a slow writer, well…
I still need to revise this chapter though.
Tbh, I need to revise the previous chapters too and make the magic system more coherent. So, expect sime small changes here and there as well and also Adonia’s age may be changed soon since I am still debating about it. Also I want to change the title in the future too, maybe something like hmm — “The Tale of Adonia”
This book was a very spontaneous and unplanned project, uhh.
The introductory author’s note was supposed to be at the first chapter but I was lazy so…uhh this will be long.
I had read a handful of korean novels/manhwas (mostly bl but some non bl too) for the past few months and had gotten inspo from a lot of them and wanted to venture in the omegaverse genre.
Well, I had this idea of a game developer and creator transmigrating in his own game as a character that didn’t exist in the original setting. At first it was about the villainess’ twin brother and I wrote the first two to three chapters of it but I then forgot about it and then I got another idea of a bl harem in a fantasy setting with the protagonist being the most beautiful male character in the world and a former transmigrator.
So I suddenly remembered about my forgotten work and mashed the two ideas together, and made completely new characters while storing the old characters including the twins for another project.
The new concept was about a guy transmigrating inside his own game as a second gen character who is the son of an unexpected pairing. I thought this idea was more unique and I haven’t really seen it being done before.
It made much sense for the new villain to be Adonia’s parent. And since Adonia, a beautiful male character will relate more with another beautiful male character as his role model, and I wanted parallels, Meyrin’s character was born.
Anzo was always the og capture target who didn’t actually love the og heroine at all, and he gave me og second ml vibes so I made him Meyrin’s husband since the second male lead x villain pairing was fascinating to me.
I like when the bl protagonist’s parents are also homosexual and are in a loving relationship, it’s sweet.
Also he was supposed to have many siblings but I didn’t want to crowd the already long main cast, I ended him up with older brother who was supposed to be the second brother resulting him being childish rather than cold and mature, and an cool older sister.
At first, I wanted Adonia to be a magic baby in a non omegaverse setting where Meyrin could give birth because of his fairy heritage (he is not a fairy in the current setting though, i think) and not because of his omeganess but then I decided against it and made it omegaverse so the reasoning of the divergence of new and unexpected pairings would be explained more properly.
I have a lot of plans for this book and Adonia may seem simple for now but he will go through character development and will learn from his grievances and sufferings as time goes on.
Also this is a bl harem, so there will be many love interests not just the princes. So lots of options haha.
I hope the chapters aren’t boring you out since the book is very slow and we are still in the beggining! I hope you stay to witness Adonia’s journey!
I would also love your feedback! And thabks for voting, commenting and following. I have an instagram account @/90flowers so you can catch up with me there as well.
