Offroad POV
“Shhh, Daddy is trying to rest.” Offroad heard Daou whisper. The door to his hospital room clicked open.
“Is that my brother?” Chance whispered back. Offroad cracked open his eyes to see his mother and Chance walking into the room. Chance immediately sprinted to Daou who was currently sitting on the couch in the hospital room holding their son. A week overdue, their son decided to finally make their way into the world last night. Offroad had woken in the middle of the night needing to pee really badly only to have his water break the moment he stood. He had woken Daou trying to remain calm as he informed him they needed to go to the hospital now. Thank goodness his mother had decided the day prior she was going to stay in the new house with this just in case something like this happened.
As they left the house Offroad felt a bit of panic as his mother would not be with him this time but his nerves were quickly settled when he had felt Daou grab his hand and squeeze. He had his alpha with him this time. He wasn’t subjected to the 25 hours of labor this time around but once again due to not dilating and his son wanting to come right now, he was taken in for another c-section. But after it was all said and done their son Charlie Kasem Saechua was finally here.
“Be gentle, he is a bit fragile,” His mother warned Chance as he climbed onto the couch to take a look at his brother.
“Papa, did you name him yet?” Chance asked excitedly, tapping Daou’s shoulder.
“His name is Charlie,” Offroad said, causing them all to turn and look at him. Chance smiled from ear to ear. When he and Daou had been going back and forth for nicknames, Chance submitted his own, Blue, Beta, Delta, and Charlie. Offroad was not too fond of any of them at first. Daou was all for the nickname Blue. But as the weeks dragged on Charlie stuck in his head.
“Grandma did you hear!?” Chance yelled excitedly. The excitement proved too much for Charlie as he began to cry. “Oh, I am sorry baby,” Chance said, lightly patting his brother’s head. Offroad reached his hands out for his son and Daou stood and transferred the little baby to him. He was longer than Chance was, which Offroad figured he had gotten his papa’s height. There were differences between his boys but they both appeared similar to Daou when he was in college, fluffy hair and all.
“You wanna hold him?” Offroad asked Chance as he rocked the baby. Chance nodded eagerly, Daou scooped him up as Offroad scooted over, placing Chance on the bed next to him. “You gotta hold his head, remember? He can’t hold it on his own just yet.” Offroad instructed as Chance assumed the position they had been practicing with him for weeks now with his own baby dolls. Daou knelt down to be level with Chance to help assist him as Offroad transferred the baby into Chance’s arms.
“Hi Charlie,” Chance whispered. Charlie’s eyes were open and staring at his brother, his gaze fixed on the new face. “Look, Daddy! He likes me.” Chance giggled as Charlie had yet to cry. Offroad smiled at his son, he watched as Daou and Chance exchanged words back and forth over how tiny he was. Offroad felt a ping of sadness when Chance asked Daou if his hands were this tiny when he was born. Daou smiled at his son and said I think they were, while reaching over to grab Offroads hand squeezing realizing the question must have upset him.
“Look over here,” His mother called. They all proceeded to look at his mother who had been taking photos. “That is definitely one for the photo book.” She smiled at them after looking up from her phone. There was a knock at the door, as Diamond and Film entered, followed by Jo and surprisingly Mang. Then Poon filled in with Joong and Geler and then came Daous’ mother and father. The only person missing was his own father who had already called offering his congratulations to both of them earlier in the morning. Offroad grabbed the baby back from Chance who stayed at his side, one by one they all came over, peaking at the baby and offering their congratulations.
“So what is my newest godson’s name?” Poon asked as he was the last in line reaching for the baby from Offroad who gently passed him over.
“Charlie!” Chance squealed.
“Like the raptor?” Diamond asked, laughing.
“Yes, like the raptor.” Chance said, smiling from ear to ear.
“I think it fits him,” Poon said, smiling down at the baby. Daou picked Chance up and sat down in his spot, keeping Chance on his lap, wrapping an arm around Offroad as he snuggled into him.
“Can I hold him?” Mang asked who was standing beside Poon peaking and smiling at Charlie. Offroad nodded and Poon passed her the baby.
“My god you sure Daou didn’t give birth to both of them?” She laughed, smoothing down the baby’s hair.
“Trust me I’m sure I have the scars to prove it,” Offroad laughed, wrapping his arm around Chance who was now leaning back on Daous chest as well.
“He is super long, I bet he is going to be tall like his papa,” Daous mother leaning over Mang to pat the baby’s tummy.
“Daddy, I’m gonna be a baby brother like you are a baby daddy?” Chance asked, causing the whole room to turn and look at him as Joong started laughing.
“You won’t be short and neither is Daddy, your papa is just tall.” Offroad said making a face of ‘look what you’ve done’ to Daou. At that moment Charlie decided he had enough of the strangers holding him and proceeded to start fussing. “He is probably hungry,” Offroad said, sitting up and taking the baby from Mang. As Daou stood moving Chance to the middle of the bed to make a bottle.
“How about we all head over to get some food so daddies can relax with the new baby?” His mother suggested. Everyone nodded in agreement and began to utter their goodbyes as they made their way out the door. “You too little man,” his mother said to Chance holding her hands open at the end of the bed.
“But I wanna stay.” Chance pouted.
“Not even for ice cream?” His mother asked.
“Can we bring Charlie back some ice cream?” He asked, rubbing his brother’s tummy.
“He is too little for ice cream at the moment baby, but you can bring me and Papa some food and ice cream back?” Offroad smiled at his son raking his fingers through his shaggy hair.
“Okay!” Chance said he leaned over and kissed the baby on the head lightly before standing and holding his arms open for a hug from Offroad who passed the baby to Daou before squeezing his son in a big hug.
“Love you, baby,” Offroad whispered to his son, kissing his hair. “Be good for grandma okay?”
“I will, love you to daddy.” Chance then turned to Daou for the same hug. Daou passed the baby who was hungrily sucking away at the bottle back to Offroad before scooping Chance up in a hug. “Love you, papa.
“Love you too buddy. I’ll walk you out with grandma okay?” Daou said as he proceeded to walk his mother out of the room chatting away about what to bring them back.
Offroad stared at his son, knowing his wish for not only him but Chance to be loved was fulfilled and it warmed his heart. He didn’t start out with the greatest family and now he wouldn’t trade any of them for anything in the world.

Introducing Chances little Brother Charlie!
Daou POV
5 years later.
Daou watched from the blankets as Offroad splashed around in the sea with Chance and Charlie. They were down visiting Offroads mother in Hat Yai for the week and decided to spend the day at the beach. Daou didn’t know if making Offroad wear a shirt was a good idea or bad idea now cause as their sons splashed water on their daddy the shirt seemed to stick to his muscles. Daou wasn’t blind to the stares he was receiving. He watched as Offroad jogged over pushing the hair back on his head.
“Are you gonna join us?” Offroad asked. Daou opened his arms, patting the space in between his legs to which Offroad smiled at him before sitting down and leaning immediately back into his chest, soaking him.
“Next time we visit I’m getting a private beach,” Daou said, pressing his face into Offroads’ neck, scenting him.
“You say that every time,” Offroad laughed.
“This time I mean it, I’ll buy a beach if I have to,” Daou sighed playfully, biting Offroads’ bonding scar.
“Knock it off,” he chuckled. “I’m getting hungry,” Offroad sighed.
“Again? We eat before coming here,” Daou asked.
“Yes again,” Offroad mocked. “Boys!” He called as they ran in from the sea. “Who wants ice cream?!” Offroad asked, wrapping them in towels.
“Me!” They both said in unison.
“Okay, Charlie let your daddy help you change into dry clothes,” Offroad said as Charlie made his way over to Daou. “His clothes are here,” Offroad said, throwing a small drawstring bag at Daou who caught it easily.
“Got it,” Daou said. “Let’s get you changed bubby.” Daou had started referring to Charlie as Bubby when one day he had referred to him as Buddy and Chance had cried because he was Papa’s buddy.
“Papa, Chance keeps calling me a val- val- valasator,” Charlie said as Daou helped him step into his shorts.
“It’s velociraptor,” Chance called, rolling his eyes.
“Hey, attitude young man,” Offroad scolded him. “And stop calling him that.”
“Sorry Charlie,” Chance said looking at Offroad with an I’m sorry look.
“You know, your brother happens to love velociraptors very much so much that when you were born he decided to name you after the thing he loved the most,” Daou informed his son. He smiled at him and then at his big brother who looked away clearly shy.
“So Chance loves me?” Charlie asked as Daou slipped on his shirt.
“Very much,” Daou laughed. He paused to read Charlie’s shirt. “Babe, I think you gave Charlie Chance’s shirt.”
“No it’s his shirt,” Offroad said standing up and moving behind Chance draping his arms around his shoulders.
“No babe it says big brother on it,” Daou said standing turning Charlie around to face Offroad.
“I know, but it’s Charlie’s shirt,” Offroad said, smiling as he motioned to Chance’s shirt, who was also smiling. His shirt read “Big brother again”
“Wait-” Daou said, looking from Offroad to his sons.
“Does that mean when this new baby is born I get to name it after what I love the most, papa?” Charlie asked, looking up at him.
“New baby?” Daou gasped a lump forming in his throat. “You’re pregnant?” Daou asked, stepping towards Offroad who nodded smiling from ear to ear. Daou picked him up into a hug, spinning him around. “We’re gonna have another baby?” Daou asked setting Offroad down, kissing all over his face before kissing him hard on the mouth.
“Eww,” the boys said in unison again.
“Oh knock it off,” Daou laughed at his sons. “We are having another baby!” He yelled, turning around, and scooping his sons into a hug. “When did you find out?”
“Last week, I wanted to actually surprise you this time since last time someone wanted to make sure his little brother wouldn’t go hungry.” Offroad laughed, rubbing Chance’s head.
“And how did he get you two to keep the secret?” Daou asked his sons.
“I’m mature now,” Chance said, raising his chin up.
“I ature’ too!” Charlie yelled.
“Mature,” Chance said, enunciating the word. “And Daddy promised you toys.” Chance said tattling. Charlie was expensive to bribe, unlike Chance who was once easily and still was easily bribed with ice cream. Charlie was obsessed with race cars and anything that went fast.
“So!” Charlie said, sticking his tongue out at his brother. “Do I get to name this baby like Chance named me?” Charlie asked excitedly now.
“I don’t know, maybe, it depends on what names you give us to select from.” Offroad laughed packing up the rest of their stuff.
“We can name it, Car! I really love those.” Charlie said as Daou picked him up. “Or Nou! I love Nou!”
“You know your brother once wanted to call you Nou 2,” Daou laughed.
“Let’s call the new baby Rex,” Chance piped in.
“As in T-Rex?” Daou laughed “No,”
“And what if it’s a girl?” Offroad asked as they started making their way back to the car.
Daou listened as his sons took turns listing names for what they wanted to name their new sibling. Daou grabbed Offroads hand squeezing.
“I love you,” he mouthed, bringing Offroads’ hand up to kiss it.
“I love you,” Offroad mouthed back as he leaned on him as they walked.
Daou couldn’t have asked for a more perfect life. His sons were smart, creative, strong, gentle boys they took after their daddy in those departments. Waking up to Offroad every morning in itself made him the luckiest man alive. Sure life had its ups and downs but with his family by his side,, Daou knew whatever life through their way he would be ready for it.
