Synopsis:
Riley Axford has it all figured out: Temptr, the new app which claims to tell you the identity of your soulmate, is bullshit and its creator, Decker Lord, is single-handedly destroying society as we know it. Riley has first-hand knowledge — his parents are divorcing because his dad used the app, and his girlfriend, Chloe, is the loudest anti-Temptr activist on the internet. Riley proudly produces her podcast, and feels like they’re doing a good thing for the world.
But when Decker Lord’s son, Noah, enrolls at his school and Riley falls in love with him at first sight, his black and white world becomes full of shades of gray. Soulmates are real, and Riley has found his.
Getting in between Decker Lord and his son sets Riley on the path to discovering a deadly secret in the Lord family’s past and the sinister truth about Decker Lord’s tech empire.
Why I liked it:
Another favorite of mine. It’s in the list of ‘need to be a movie’ along with ‘Kill Like A Gentleman‘ and ‘Not so Married‘.
This book, I don’t know what I expected when I first read it. As it went, it blew my mind because of how good it was and how imaginative it’d been. It’s LITERALLY, OUT of the WORLD, lol.
And an app to find your soulmates? HELL YES.
And the characters are just out right the best; especially at the end of the book, just read and comment on how right I am.
Was there a bad guy? Yes, you’d be surprised on who it is. It’s GOTG all over again! But, so much better…
Loved it; don’t think I’ll read another book like it.
