When Jisung arrived to school on monday, Changbin had been beside him from the minute he got there. Jisung gave him a quick hug, not wanting to make too much of a scene, but also wanting to express his gratitude to the older. He made a mental note to give Changbin some flowers sometime in the near future, as a small thank you.

“So, how was the rest of your weekend Sungie? Was it okay after I left?” Changbin asked as the two walked into English class, sitting down in their respective chairs. “It was actually pretty decent, I talked with Minho hyung a lot.” Changbin saw Jisung’s eyes light up slightly, immediately interested in continueing the conversation. He wanted to know more about his best friend’s life, especially as he hadn’t seen that light in quite a while. He nudged the latter’s shoulder, giving him a ‘cheeky smirk’.

“Well, about what?”

“Oh, just, whatever you know?” A small blush creeps onto Jisung’s face, slightly embarrassed. He wasn’t used to being the one to have ‘exciting’ news. “Andhealsokindacalledmecute.” Jisung blurted out so incredibly fast, Changbin had no idea what his friend had just said. “Excuse me? repeat that bro.”

“He. Also. Kind off. Called me. Cute.” Jisung yelled under his breath clearly frustrated, especially seeing the one that had called him cute just walked into the classroom, his smile beaming when his eyes met Jisung’s. Jisung could only give a shy smile back as the two (and Changbin) greated each other. When the oldest had passed them and sat down in his seat, Changbin quickly turned around to face Jisung, shaking the younger excitedly.

“That is huge news Jisung ohmygod!”

“It’s literally not. Stop embarrassing me.” Jisung took Changbin’s hands off his shoulders and grabbed his notebook from his bag, continueing the conversation and also telling his friend about Minho’s error, thinking they were dating. “But did he look relieved when you told him we weren’t?” Jisung sighed loudly, regretting telling his friend about the rest of his weekend. “How do I know, Binnie. We literally saw each other through a fucking phone screen!” He whispered, class now starting. The two continued bickering through the rest of class, Jisung frustrated by his way too excited friend. Nearing the end of class, Changbin nudged Jisung’s shoulder, making the other look up.

“Just be careful to not catch any feelings, you’re going to fall too hard Sungie.”

“The only thing anyone will catch is these hands… and that anyone would be you.” Changbin bounced back in his chair, pretending to look offended. “I am appaled, young sir. Who raised you to be like this!?”

“You.” Jisung stuck out his tongue like a little kid. “And don’t worry, it won’t go that far hyung. I don’t fall in love like that.”

“Yet.”

Jisung decided to ignore Changbin’s final statement, just wanting the conversation to be over. He wouldn’t fall for Minho, especially not this quickly. Yet he couldn’t help but be drawn to the older, which somehow only made him more nervous about the idea of liking him. Surely he couldn’t be a crush after only a week, right?
Soon enough his next class, Musical History had ended and lunch had rolled around. Jisung was nervous and excited at the same time. He really wasn’t looking forward to meeting three more people. He cursed Minho and also thanked Minho at the same time. You know, for existing but also for being just as social, -if not more, as Changbin. Jisung decided he didn’t like being an introvert anymore, at all. He just wanted to be as talkative and easygoing as his two friends, it would make life so much easier for him.

He walked to their usual table, only Chan sitting there with a random boy on the opposite side, sitting in front of Chan. He made his way over and sat down at the other end, Changbin telling them he was going to stand in line to grab lunch from the food court. Jisung just nodded, his anxiety being a little too high to allow himself to speak. He managed to introduce himself to the other boy who turned out to be Felix. He had seen the boy go wild in their meme group chat, sending a bunch of Tik Toks, saying he should try them out as well. For some reason, that had turned the entire groupchat upside down, everyone expressing their opinions on TikTok and who could do the current viral trends the best.

Just as Jisung was starting to feel too uncomfortable, he felt a presence sit down next to him. He looked up and surely enough, it was Minho. He had to look back down at the table quickly though, feeling himself blush just from looking at his new friends’ smile.

“Hi Sungie, good to see you again!”

“You literally saw me in English.”

“S-Still!” Minho looked a little surprised and grabbed his food from his bag. He quickly noticed Jisung didn’t have any food out yet. “Hey, did you bring any food?” He asked, smiling at the younger of the two. Jisung didn’t really know what to answer. He would usually do groceries on Sundays, but seeing his weekend was so rough he had been mentally exhausted sohe hadn’t done so the previous day. On top of that all, he didn’t know how he would be spending his money, still being freaked out over the fact he lost his most important job.

“N-No. I forgot, haha.” He let out a forced chuckle, not knowing what to tell Minho other than that. “Lets share, then!” Minho hadn’t ment ill, but Jisung was quick to decline the offer. “What do you mean no?” He opened his lunchbox, revealing at least 6 sandwiches. Minho usually had a big appetite, however he didn’t mind sharing with the cute boy next to him.

“Well, it’s your food. I don’t want to be a bother.”

“You won’t bother me, I have more than enough. Now eat!” Minho shoved his lunchbox inbetween them, handing Jisung one sandwich. The younger could only take it reluctantly, but he didn’t start eating immediately. As the two had been having a little ‘argument’, Seungmin and Jeongin had taken their seats inbetween the four seated friends. Jisung once again could only introduce himself shyly, the thought of eating with them and talking being almost too much. Minho seemed to notice his nerves and quickly averted the attention to himself, making a funny joke. Jisung was thankful and laughed along, starting to feel more relaxed. He didn’t really understand why, normally he would be freaking out to the point of almost having a panic attack, but here he was (even without Changbin), laughing and attempting to be social with 2 new people so far.

Speaking of Changbin, him and Hyunjin both arrived to the table at the same time talking happily amongst themselves. He is about to walk over to Jisung to sit next to him like usual, when he notices Minho is already seated next to his best friend. If his eyes could deceive him, he would’ve thought they’d been lying. He smiled and sat down inbetween Jeongin and Chan instead. He couldn’t help but feel slightly confused. His friend (no offense) would usually be a physical mess. He quickly decided he shouldn’t think so harshly of how Jisung usually is, it was a good thing he saw these little changes, however he couldn’t help but be a little surprised. He had known Jisung for most of his life, after all.
However, if all of the previous things weren’t shocking enough, when he looked over to Minho and Jisung, he saw the two of them sharing Minho’s lunch. Changbin instantly starts feeling bad, not realising Jisung forgot his lunch again. Even if he had no real chance to see it before leaving to go stand in line, he should’ve known or at the very least brought something extra, just in case. At that exact moment, Jisung looks up at Changbin, giving him a small smile. Changbin can’t help but give him the biggest smile in response, showing he is proud and happy for the younger that he made so much improvements. Especially when he thought back of how devastated Jisung was over the weekend.

“Yah, Jisungie! You should at least eat the sandwich!” Changbin heard Minho say. He looked up and saw that Minho was almost force feeding Jisung at this point. “Now say ‘ahhhhh’!” Changbin felt a small rush of nerves go through him. He knew Jisung didn’t like being the center of attention and eating in front of people. He honestly thought Jisung was possessed by a force from Heaven or something, because instead of running away, Jisung laughed.

Jisung lets out an almost choking sound, Minho stuffing the sanwich in his mouth.

“Y-Yah! Lwemme bweath!” Jisung cried out, the table erupting in laughter. Jisung was going to kill Minho, if the older didn’t accidentally kill him first. After the situation had died down and Jisung had started eating like a normal human being, Minho asked him a question.

“Would you want to hang out after school? For you know, the project?”

“I have to go to work first, but I’d be available after. If that is okay with you, of course. My shift finishes at six.”

“Totally okay! Just text me when you’re on your way to me later.”

As the clock ticks to 6:20 pm, the doorbell rings. Minho excitedly hurries to the door, finding Jisung standing in the doorway. They greet each other and Minho lets the younger in. As Jisung takes of his coat and shoes, Minho notices the outfit change from earlier that day. Or more specifically, the change from long sleeved shirt to hoodie.
“I assume not but is this your work clothes?” Jisung snorts in response, a groan of frustration also leaving his mouth.

“I fell when holding a watering can and it just poared all over me, I was so soaked the store owner had to lend me their extra hoodie. From her boyfriend, nonetheless!” They sat down on the couch and Minho let out a loud laugh. “So you’re clumsy, huh?”
“A-Absolutely not! I just stumbled over a table and fell! I-It’s the tables’ fault!” After agreeing to disagree, the boys ate some pizza as they worked on their project. After an hour and a half of hard work, the boys decided to watch some Going Seventeen. Apparently, both really enjoyed the groups’ music. Jisung made himself comfortable on the other side of the couch and soon enough starte yawning, obviously tired.

“You tired?” Minho had asked, but the younger had denied the statement. Of course he was tired, he had just returned from a full day of school followed by a couple hours of work. Jisung’s introverted side was getting the better of him, needing to regain himself by just watching some tv. Minho had decided to listen to the other, continueing the episode. By the time DK was explaining that he messed up the wrong drinks, Minho had let out a loud laugh. Confused when all he heard from the other side of the couch was silence, he looked over.

Jisung had fallen asleep and god, did he look absolutely adorable… Minho could feel his heart burst. Deciding to let the younger sleep a little longer, he stops the video and cleans up his living room. For a few seconds afterwards, Minho doesn’t know what to do. It was already 10.30 pm and quite frankly, he didn’t know if he felt comfortable enough letting Jisung go home on his own. He also didn’t feel comfortable enough in waking the younger up. Deciding he would let Jisung stay the night, he first brought his phone to his room, setting his alarm for the following morning of school. He quickly returned to the living room, seeing Jisung was still fastly asleep.
‘Do I just leave him on the couch?’ Quickly deciding against it, he slowly made his way towards Jisung and carefully lifted the younger to his chest, carrying him to his bedroom. As he put the blanket over Jisung and turned to leave, he felt a hand grab his own.

“Could you stay… I get scared alone.” Jisung at this point was saying a fat lie and he knew it himself, but for some reason he didn’t want Minho to leave him alone there. He blamed it on the fact that he was tired and wouldn’t be thinking straight, but secretly he just really wanted to have someone to cuddle with. Seeing Minho was the only one in the apartment, it was an easy choice.
Minho looked back at the younger reluctantly. It didn’t do any harm to just sleep in the same bed, right? Besides, the younger had asked him, not the other way around. He sighed and agreed, getting under the covers next to Jisung.

“Thank you hyungie.” He hears Jisung say as the smaller nuzzles his face in Minho’s chest. If it wasn’t so dark and Jisung wasn’t so tired, he would’ve definitely spotted the blush on Minho’s cheeks. All the guardian angel could do though, was cuddle up besides his soulmate before falling asleep himself as well.
