Jisung woke up the following day, immediately reaching to grab his head. It felt like it would split in half at any moment, the pain almost unbearable as he let out a load groan. He opened his eyes, finding himself in his bedroom. The sun was already shining bright behind the curtains, signaling him that it wasn’t early in the morning. His eyes automatically closed again, needing to adjusting to the brightness he couldn’t handle yet. He didn’t really remember how he had gotten home. His mind told him ‘Minho’, but that was all he knew.

Speaking of the other male, he didn’t appear to be in the room. Jisung sat up, watching as his entire room spun around him. Still, he stubbornly stood up and found his way to his closet. He wobbled the entir way there, his body assumingly still recovering from the alcohol he had ingested the previous night. He pulled out a pair of black sweatpants, sitting back down on the bed after almost falling over when he had attempted to put them on whilst standing. When he had finally succeeded, he grabbed his phone and stuffed it in his pocket before walking out of his bedroom.
Jisung had to use the walls to keep himself steady. Literally everything was spinning and his body felt very heavy with every step he took, almost as if he was a zombie. ‘I probably look like one.’ He thought to himself. He decided the best way to go down the stairs was by sitting down on them, somewhat scared he would fall to his death if he didn’t. So he did just that. He heard rummaging in the kitchen, signaling to him Minho must still be there. As he finally managed to get down the stairs, he walked into the living room slowly. He saw the aforementioned sitting at the kitchen counter, reading something on his phone.

“Mornin’, hyung.” Jisung whispered, his brain not letting him make any more noise than necessary. Minho immediately spun his head around and let out a relieved sigh.

“Good afternoon, Sung. I’m glad to see you’re awake, I was starting to worry.”

“A-Afternoon?” Jisung let go of the wall, walking towards the kitchen counter as well. He nearly stumbled, but thankfully he had made it to the countertop in time so he wouldn’t fall face first into the ground. “Yeah, afternoon. It’s 4 PM. You were completely out cold. I was worried at first because I thought it probably had to do with the drugs, but you were still breathing so I assumed it was your body needing extra time.” Minho spoke casually, as if he hadn’t just said the wildest thing to the boy right next to him.
“Drugs? What? W-What happened last night, hyung?” He sat down on one of the barstools, resting his arms on the counter. He put his head on them and closed his eyes, finally not seeing everything spin for a moment. He tried to remember the party again. The last thing he could clearly remember is suddenly feeling sick and asking Minho to go home. Being drugged surely made sense, seeing how heavy he felt and how little memory he had left.

“Some guy named Hojeon? Hojun? Whatever his fucking name is, he spiked your drink with something. I didn’t really realise until I had taken you home… I’m glad I was there and nothing happened to you.”

‘Hyung… undress me…’ Jisung’s eyes shot wide open, his entire face feeling hot. ‘What was that?! Did we…’ He glanced over at Minho, who had stood up to make pancakes for the both of them. ‘Should I ask? …Minho wouldn’t take advantage of me like that… right?’ Jisung couldn’t get the thought out of his head, deciding it was best to ask the older. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Minho, he didn’t know if he could trust his drunk –and drugged, past self.
“Hyung… did we… last night…”Minho’s body stifferend as he quickly turned around to look at the younger. He furiously shook his hands and answered the younger. “A-Absolutely not! I wouldn’t dare to touch you if you were unable to consent!” Minho’s ears reddened, clearly shy and embarrassed.

“Y-Yeah, that’s true… I know. Sorry for asking.”

“No, it’s fine to ask. Especially since you can’t remember anything and you woke up without pants on and a different shirt.” Jisung nodded before his eyes went wide. He had completely forgotten his arms weren’t covered up. His head immediately shot up and his arms moved onto his lap, under the counter and away from view. The quick movement had made his head hurt though, him immediately regretting his actions as he winced.
“Hyung, can you grab me an ibuprofen? It’s in the drawer to the right of the sink.”

“Sure.” He watched as Minho handed him a class of water and a painkiller for his head. He grabbed the glass and pill and quickly chugged them both. He hadn’t noticed Minho had glanced at his arms again. “Sung… Can I ask you something?” Minho said as he put a plate of steaming hot pancakes down in front of the younger. “Sure, but can I ask you how you made these pancakes, I thought you were bad at cooking?” Minho snickered. “I went to the convenience store on the corner and bought the ingredients. It came out of those ‘easy to make’ boxes.” Jisung let out a hum in approval, taking a bite of the pancakes. He bounced up and down the chair excitedly, enjoying the taste of the sweet ‘breakfast’ food before regretting his actions when the pain hit him again. Minho almost didn’t dare to ruin the mood, considering letting the question go.

“What did you want to ask, hyungie?” He let out a sigh as he turned off the stove, placing his pancakes on a plate for himself and moving to sit down next to Jisung.

“I changed your clothes last night, Sung. I-I really don’t want to ruin your mood but… may I ask why you… hurt yourself… again?” He watched Jisung’s previous happy expression fall, instantly regretting bringing it up. “Sorry, don’t respond if it makes you uncomfortable.” Minho just wanted to help his crush so Jisung could get better, but he was only ‘human’. He didn’t know what the best things to say were at times either, making him wonder how he could bring up those topics in a better way.

“N-No. I’m the one that’s sorry… I should’ve called you but I was scared you’d be studying and I didn’t want to disturb any of you, or worry either of you. I thought I could be s-strong by myself. But I failed and did it anyways.”

“You didn’t fail anything, Jisung. You’re going through a hard time, relapses are normal! No one can just drop a form of ‘addiction’ instantly. It takes time and you should not feel bad for falling back. Be positive. You didn’t do it for longer than you ever have since you started, right?” Jisung nodded slowly, his head still pounding. “See, that’s improvement! Two steps forward, one step backward still means you took a step forward. Now, next time don’t be afraid to call me or Changbin. We can and want to help you. Whatever time we may ‘lose’ studying isn’t worth you feeling pain for, okay?”

“Thank you, Minho hyung.”

“Just call me Minho.” Jisung’s eyes widened, shocked the older let him drop honorifics. “We’re close friends, right? No need to call me that. Plus, I like it when you say my name rather than just hyung.”

“Okay hy—… Minho.” A smile crept itself onto Jisung’s face as he leant forward, hugging Minho tightly. The older returned the hug, still smelling the alcohol of the party on Jisung. “I don’t want to sound rude…” he muttered, “but I think you should take a shower after eating, I can smell the alcohol on you.”

“I know, thanks h—Minho.” Jisung said sarcastically, still trying to get accustomed to calling the older by his name. The two both pulled back from the hug and continued to eat their ‘breakfast’. At this time, it could nearly be considered dinner, but the two didn’t care. Minho helped the younger boy up the stairs and into the bathroom. Due to his splitting headache, Jisung hadn’t noticed how much his lower back ached. Minho had confirmed they hadn’t done anything, but that didn’t stop Jisung from imagining the things they could have done. Not that he wanted things to have happened, but he is still a teenager with a wild imagination.

“You literally laid in the same position for 10 or so hours, of course your back hurts!” Minho laughed as Jisung groaned, slowly sitting down on the closed toilet.

“Still… I didn’t expect to be this miserable… I had like… 7 drinks or something? Gosh, I can’t believe I’m such a lightweight!” Minho shook his head, a grin playing on his face. “Need I remind you, you were literally drugged. Besides, I’m pretty confident you had more than 7 drinks. You were already pretty intoxicated when I arrived.”

“That’s some bloody fucking drug then.” They continued to bicker for a bit before Minho eventually walked to the door. “I’m going to change into some of your clothes, okay? I clearly didn’t bring any and that sweaty outfit from last night is not something I want to put on again.”

“Sure, go ahead.”

Jisung watched as the door closed behind Minho. The moment the older was out of sight, Jisung started smiling to himself. He couldn’t help but feel constant butterflies in his stomach. He stood up slowly before taking off his shirt. Whilst turning on the shower, he took off the remainder of his clothes and hummed along to the tune of baby shark, which was randomly stuck in his head. The boy silently watched the glass door become foggy, signaling the water had become a comfortable temperature to stand under. As the hot water hit his body he let out a soft sigh, relishing in the heat. His entire body relaxed, even his headache seemed less prominent —but maybe it was just the ibuprofen finally doing its job. He let out a low chuckle thinking about the party. The one time he goes, he gets drugged. ‘Just my luck’. He washed his hair and body, replacing the smell of alcohol with a soft lavender scent. It wasn’t his favorite scent but it did always calm him down, which was something he greatly appreciated.

He turned off the shower and stood still for a moment, not wanting to leave the small and warm shower space. Finally building up the courage to step into the cold, he opened the glass door and felt the cold hit him. He grabbed one of the bigger towels, wrapping it around his body. Only then did he realise that he didn’t bring any clothes into the bathroom.

‘Ohmygod I’m an idiot.’

“M-Minho?!” Jisung yelled, hoping the older would hear him. The older must’ve also not noticed the lack of clothes for Jisung as he barged through the door. His eyes visibly widened and Jisung could see his eyes shoot up and down his body for a moment. Even though he wasn’t under the burning water anymore, his cheeks suddenly felt incredibly hot again. Minho then looked him straight in the eyes. “Y-Yes, Sung? Is something wrong?”

“Uhm, could you bring me some clothes m-maybe?”

“O-Oh yes. Uhh, anything specific?”

“A hoodie will do, maybe some sweats?” Minho quickly nodded before rushing out the door again, his face redder than a tomato. Jisung just stood there for a moment, the water droplets still running down his body, heart beat incredibly fast. Not even a minute later, Minho’s hand reached through the small gap, placing down some clothes. Jisung mumbled a small thanks as he grabbed them before continueing to dry himself off.

It was around 7 p.m, both boys sitting on the couch. In all honesty, Minho should’ve headed back to his apartment to do some last minute studying, however neither of the two wanted to him to leave. Instead they were catching up on the latest Going Seventeen episode, laughing at Joshua pretending to be a robot.
“I wonder if you’ll be like that too.” Minho suddenly said, confusing the younger. “What do you mean? Like a robot?” Jisung tilted his head, his reply causing the other to let out a chuckle. “No, as in, an idol. With their own variety program. You got signed to SKZE, right?”

“Well, that’s true. But I don’t know if you could classify three rappers as idols? I mean, I don’t really dance and we haven’t been told to learn it yet either.”

“Hmm. It’d be fun to see you do these things, though. I think you’d be entertaining to watch.” Jisung looked back at the tv, not wanting to become embarrassed because of the older again. “I doubt it. I’m not that funny and I don’t know how my anxiety would let me have fun.”

“Jisung, I think you’re really funny. Don’t doubt yourself, you always make me laugh. And I don’t mean laughing ‘at’ you.” Minho scooted a little closer to the other. They’d been sitting on both ends of the couch, their behaviour having returned to slightly awkward. Both no longer being under the influence had made them shy all over again, the closeness between their bodies drifting away again.
“Thanks, Minho. You’re right that I shouldn’t doubt myself so much, I just— I just can’t help it, you know?” Jisung finally turned his face to the older, who was now sitting right next to him. Their faces would’ve been too close for comfort had they been anyone else, but neither cared in that moment. It seemed that the aforementioned awkwardness was slowly creeping away, making room for the warmth the two would inevitably feel whenever they got closer. It wasn’t just the body heat they would feel, it was the warmth inside their hearts. An undescribable feeling neither could put into words, both suffocating yet addicting at the same time. Minho couldn’t help but become sappy, the coziness making his mind foggy. He decided to let out his thoughts, the younger attentively listening.

“I know, but I wish I could show you how amazing you are. How much you mean to me and the people around you. When you smile you literally light up the room, I don’t think the sun could even hold up against you. When you’re quiet, you observe everyone. You notice little details about someone no one else would, but you fail to notice the love the people around you have for you. Chan thinks you’re so sweet and talented and whilst he wished you would open up more to him, he knows you need to take it at your own pace. Felix literally always talks about how cool you are and how he wished he could be more like you. Jeongin always calls you smart and Hyunjin calls you a great friend. Seungmin isn’t good with putting his emotions into words, but I remember how worried he was when you didn’t show up to school that one day. And oh god, don’t get me started on Changbin. He looks at you like you’re the brightest star of them all. His eyes literally shine with adoration whenever he looks at you, I can tell he’d do anything for you.”

Jisung’s eyes had started watering almost as soon as Minho had started speaking. The way Minho had grabbed onto his hands softly, holding them in his own icy ones. The way Minho stared right into his eyes as he was saying all of this, looking at Jisung wish such a soft smile he couldn’t help but become emotional.

“W-What about you?” For some reason, even after hearing everything Minho had just said, Jisung wanted to hear that the most. “Me?” Minho let out a small giggle. “I think if I truly say what I think, you might become creeped out.” Minho glanced down at their hands as he felt the younger’s grip tighten.

“Please tell me, Minho.”

“Alright then. Well, to me, you’re my sun. The most impostant star of them all. You give me warmth, make me happy but most importantly, you’re my light. Whenever you feel down it’s like clouds have obstructed my view of you, like you can’t share your warmth with me. When I can’t see you, all I want is for the sky to clear up. You’re the center of my universe, Han Jisung. I need you in my life, for it will be dark otherwise.” Minho took one of his hands out of Jisung’s, reaching upwards to cup the younger’s cheek. Brushing the tears away with his thumb, he cocked his head and smiled at the younger.

“I want to have you around all the time, Jisung.”

“Y-You’re my light… Minho hyung. I don’t know if I could be here without you, honestly. It’s like you came into my life the m-moment I needed you most.” Jisung leaned forward, throwing his arms around Minho’s shoulders, pulling the latter in for a hug. He could feel Minho’s arms wrap around his waist, securing him within his grasp tightly. “I need you too, p-please don’t ever leave me.” Jisung’s voice had softened to a whisper, his emotions almost overbearing to allow him to speak.

“I won’t ever leave you.” Minho nuzzled his face into Jisung’s neck, placing a kiss on the younger’s exposed skin. He smiled as he watched Jisung shiver, closing his eyes to enjoy the moment even more.

“M-Minho…” Jisung mumbled. He contemplated pulling out of the hug to look the older in the eyes, but the warmth of Minho’s chest against his let him to decide he couldn’t. “Jisung?” He could hear the other say teasingly.

“D-Do you maybe… only if you really want to —maybebemyboyfriend?” Jisung couldn’t help but hold his breathe after he spoke those words. He could feel his heartbeat in his ears, almost deafening him. Minho was the one to pull back from the hug, the cold immediately coming back around Jisung’s small body.

“No. I don’t maybe want to be your boyfriend,” Jisung’s heart seemed to stop beating in that moment, his eyes almost glazing over already.

“I definitely want to be your boyfriend.”

Minho smiled widely at him before leaning in, pressing a kiss on the other’s lips. Jisung could feel the relief wash over him as his eyes closed by instinct, letting Minho take over completely. The kiss was one of passion and desire, both boys now realising just how long they had both wanted for this moment to happen. Jisung moved his hands towards his boyfriend’s hair, entangling it through his fingers. Minho’s hands found their way back to Jisung’s slim waist, slowly pushing his body into the youngers’. It resulted in Jisung slowly laying down onto the couch, Minho hovering over him as their lips remained attached. The latter pulled out of the kiss for a moment, allowing both boys to catch their breath as Minho watched Jisung. The boy was panting, slowly opening his eyes to stare back at him.

“You’re beautiful.” Minho breathed out before rejoining their lips. This time, the kiss was slower and filled with love, desire still lingering around closely. Jisung couldn’t help but smile into the kiss, feeling so incredibly happy with Minho. Jisung was the one to pull back this time, the kiss much shorter than the one prior. “You know… whilst watching tv I remembered some stuff from last night.” He spoke quietly, not wanting to ruin the intimacy between them. Minho’s hand reached for Jisung’s face, brushing the hair out of the younger’s eyes. He let out a hum, signaling Jisung to continue talking.

Any Jisung would want you to, Minho.” The older grinned, the smile reaching his eyes as they turned into crescents. Jisung couldn’t help but smile back, finding the older breathtakingly beautiful. Of course, the kissing had left him quite out of breath too.

“Turned out you really ment that. Gosh, maybe this is too early to say but honestly, I’ve wanted to say this for a long time already…

I love you, Jisung-ah.”

Jisung closed his eyes and nodded before looking back at Minho.

“Well aren’t you lucky, because I love you too, Minho.”

The End
