Remember the term and condition I read accidentally yesterday about Duke Derek has a priority to assign any maid and knight to help the caretaker of his daughter. It’s actually meant, he will assign a maid and knight into my house for Violla.
I didn’t expect he would send it today which now they are sitting in my living room, wait for my order.
This is why I should read the other terms and conditions before agree…. I’m so stupid!
“Your name is Lucian, right?”
A maid with short dark blue hair and dark eyes asked, she look really friendly too.
I nodded at her.
“Then, we should introduce ourselves since we already know you from Duke Derek himself”
She smiled.
“I start first. My name is Bonnie, I was assign to play with Violla and help you with any assignments”
A knight with cheerful expression start to introduce himself too, he looked pretty excited.
“Hello! My name is Wolven! I has a brother named Julius, the Duke right hand-man. You already met him”
No wonder they has a same colour of hair and eyes but Wolven hair has a wavy style.
“So, you Julius’s brother….. Nice to meet you and this….”
I turned my gaze toward a knight who was beside Wolven, he has green hair and dark eyes.
“Oh! My buddy here is Keaser! He quite but actually a nice person, don’t worry!”
Wolven give me a thumbs up, I smiled. Looks like they are really a good person since they has a positive vibe around them except for Keaser. He…..he look so gloomy.
“Daddy…. Who are this people?”
Violla who was hiding behind the door asked me. I smiled at her and answer.
“Oh! This is my friends. This is Bonnie, Wolven and Keasar”
I introduced each of them to her including lied to her about them that they are my friend. Each of them immediately understand the assignment by saying hello to her, just play along with the lie.
I don’t want her to worried, she still a little kid.
“By the way, I’m going to show your room”
We left the living room and I gave them a little tour although it was just a little house, there’s nothing amazing at all except for the bookstore.
We went to the kitchen which it’s just beside the living room. Then, we went upstairs, I show them my room, Violla’s room and show their room too. Sadly, Wolven and Keasar need to sleep at the same room since I only has 4 room.
“I’m truly sorry that you both need to sleep at the same room”
“No need to apologize, Mr Lucian! It’s fine!”
I sighed, I want them to get comfy when staying at my house. They are my very first guest to come to my house although it’s just for Violla.
When I was in deep thought, Violla pulled my clothes.
“Daddy…. I’m hungry”
We heard her stomach growled loudly, echoing around the living room. Wolven tried not to laugh while Bonnie chuckled softly, amused by Violla’s stomach.
“Let’s get you something to eat”
I hold her with my arms.
“Mr Lucian, I can help you with that”
Bonnie immediately followed me to the kitchen.
“Then, we are going to patrol around the house”
I stop when he said that, something across my mind.
“Uhmm….. Sir Wolven, can we talk?”
He nodded.
I told Bonnie to go first with Violla. I let Bonnie to hold Violla but surprisingly, she let Bonnie hold her. Usually, she will kick stranger wherever I seek help from other people to hold her for a moment.
Bonnie and Violla went to the kitchen, leaving me with Wolven and Keasar.
“Sir Wolven, I don’t want to be rude but….could you both wear something…… unnoticeable?”
I suggested, I know their duty to keep Violla save but them? Wearing a knight clothes while patrolling my house could make other people feel suspicious.
“Don’t get me wrong! I…I just don’t want my neighbor or people get the wrong idea why there a knights patrol around the bookstore”
I also don’t want my customer get scare and run away too but I didn’t have a courage to said that.
“Sure! Understood!”
He immediately understand without any hesitation at all. He dragged Keasar to their room to get change.
I sighed in relief, I thought I’m going to get a knights who would make a mess but it seem like I am lucky or it was just the Duke who know the best candidate.
Just for a few second, Keasar and Wolven change into a proper outfit.
Wow…. That was…… fast?
“Is this good?”
I nodded at Wolven.
“Nice! Let’s go, Keasar! We have a job to do!”
Again, he dragged Keasar without any hesitation and start to work.
Meanwhile, I went to the kitchen to see Violla was sitting at her chair while Bonnie was cooking a dishes for Violla.
“Daddy!”
Violla called out my name when she turn her gaze toward me.
“Oh, hey sweetie”
I smiled at her.
“Uhmm…. Miss Bonnie, do you mind if I could help you prepare the dishes?”
I asked since I felt bad if I let her cook the food for Violla.
She turned around, shaked her head.
“No, it’s my job. You can rest, Mr Lucian”
“But……”
I sighed. I sit beside Violla, watched Bonnie cook.
After half an hour, Violla and I smelled something we never smell before while Bonnie prepared the dishes on the table which was a porridge, pudding, sandwiches and a freaking steak too. To my surprised, her dishes look delicious. Violla’s mouth drooled, so did mine. I can take my eyes off from the food.
“Don’t just watch, dig in!”
Violla immediately eat her porridge without hesitation, her eyes was sparkling.
“Boopwie ets delwious!”
Her mouth was full when she spoke.
“Violla, didn’t daddy told you before it was rude to speak while there was a food inside your mouth?”
Violla swallow her food.
“Bownie yow foop is delicious!”
She chuckled by her cuteness.
“Aww! Thank you, my lady”
Violla proceed to eat her porridge while was hesitating if I should eat.
“Mr Lucian, is the food not for your liking?”
Bonnie asked.
“What!? No! I’m okay with it but…..I….do I deserve it?”
“Of course! I’m here to serve you and lady Violla. It’s my duty”
“I know it’s your duty, miss Bonnie but I was just thinking, I’m just a lowly commoner while Violla has a status as a nobility since she has noble blood in her”
Bonnie sighed.
“Mr Lucian, I don’t care if you are commoner. I am here for you and lady Violla. The end”
She was serious with her word by I know that they won’t be here last long after Violla grew up. They maybe said that but I know that I will left alone.
“I see, then how about you also join us too”
“Oh….uhmmm…..no. I already have my breakfast before coming here, Mr Lucian”
“Is that so…. Okay”
I smiled at her. I turned my gaze toward Violla for a moment while she was about to finish her porridge.
Well, it look like our routine will change….. This for the best I guess….
