Sihan looks at Amani who finishes closing the door.

“How much did you hear?” Amani asks, offering to sit on the bed.

“Enough to know my son doesn’t mean you.” Sihan said, scratching his cheek.

“How are you so sure?” Amani asks worriedly.

“I know because I see, Noah loves you more than you give him credit.” Sihan said, holding his hand.

“I don’t want to ruin the image that he has of me or the relationship you both have. I care about him, it feels wrong doing this behind him.” Amani scratches the back of his neck uncomfortably unsure by this.

Sihan smiles and touches Amani’s face, if there is one thing about this man is his love and respect for his (Sihan’s) child.

Amani likes the gentle touch of Sihan’s hand against his face, he doesn’t want to hurt Noah’s feelings but he also doesn’t want to hurt Sihan but it’s not easy.

“Yaakov, we don’t have to reveal ourselves so early we can gradually do it while letting Noah know slowly, okay.”

Sihan holds his face looking into Amani’s eyes, who smiles warmly at him. Amani has many things he doesn’t talk about but someday he’ll sit down and talk about them just not now… let him be normal for now.

A few days later Noah had been sent to spend time with his grandparents, Sihan wanted to join but he had the bakery to take care of and Amani had a date plan for them both.

Sihan looks at his phone, he had just received a text from Alex. He must say Alex is a good person a little on the cute naive send but overall a person that makes him feel guilty knowing the secrets he holds.

[Alex: I won’t be able to make it today. I’m sorry >_< my baby Noel I’d really sick! Next week I promise!]

Sihan smiles feeling warm inside, before he could reply the bell rings revealing Nathaniel.

Initially at first he was uncomfortable with Nathaniel’s visits but now he is not as tense and nervous especially since Noah is not here.

“Hello, um are you buying more pastries?” Sihan said thinking the family might get cavities.

Nathaniel looks around at the place walking up to the counter, “no, I’m not here for sweets today.”

He said placing his suitcase on the counter opening it. Sihan was confused, “then pictures?”

Nathaniel looks at him, he takes out some papers then offers Sihan. “Please sign.”

Sihan was confused, he took the papers looking at it then immediately his heart sank. “W-what-”

Sihan looks up at Nathaniel as a dark shade cast over his eyes and familiar frown form across his face, Sihan through it back. “No!”

Sihan’s whole body trembles as the papers fall to the floor revealing a form for termination of parental rights.

Sihan can’t lose Noah, the only one light in his life. His who life with his baby flashes before his eyes before he looks up at Nathaniel trembling, “why would yo-”

“Why would you? You think you could take my child away from me, flee off with a random doctor and return as if nothing happened. Six years of my son’s life taken away from me,” Nathaniel argues.

“I was only doing the right thing, you scared me.” Sihan shouts.

“And you use that opportunity to deny me, my son and Noah his father. But he isn’t denied because you replaced me!” Nathaniel voices angrily.

“You didn’t want him!”

“We all make mistakes! I didn’t plan for you to get pregnant but I love him regardless of our past circumstances, you up and disappear with him. Do you have any idea how I felt?” Nathaniel said coldly.

Sihan’s heart sinks, many times he questions his resolve for taking Noah away from Nathaniel. “I didn’t want to… deny my son a father,”

“Well, you denied him the truth, you really didn’t change, you’re so selfish.” Nathaniel said, looking down on him. “I’m taking Noah, sign the papers and go live happily ever after with your doctor boyfriend.”

Sihan’s eyes went blank, Noah his son, his chest hurts he grasped it. He doesn’t have the best of health but now his heart is feeling weak. His baby, where is he? Noah, he can’t lose him just as he was about to lose hope he sees a text from Alex.

[Alex: Hey, do you have any quick remedies on fevers? I know medicine is practical but sometimes I like some good home recipes]

Sihan’s face darkens as he loosen his grips, he watches as Nathaniel places the papers back in front of him. He looks at them coldly then at Nathaniel.

“Does Alex know about this?” Sihan asks vaguely.

Nathaniel’s expression froze in place and it was there that Sihan got his answer, he chuckled then placed his hands on the counter pushing back the papers. “Oh Nathaniel, you never change. Always leaving your partners in the dark away from the truth… I see myself in him, you know.” Sihan said stacking the papers up.

Nathaniel grits his teeth, “what are you planning?!”

“The truth, if you ever dare take Noah away from me I’ll broadcast everything, your parents can control the media but I bet that wouldn’t matter once Alex finds out, he seems to hold you in high regards. I wonder what he will think of you, a child predator? Will take his children away for their safety like you’ll take Noah away from me?” Sihan’s eyes were as cold as a winter lake under the moon.

Sihan doesn’t care about anything right, he can’t let Noah go, he is everything to him. He will not go down without a fight.

Nathaniel grabs Sihan from across the counter, “YOU WOULDN’T DARE!!” He shouts viciously.

“Try me, if you don’t take Noah away from this will be our secret to keep.” Sihan bargains.

Feeling angry he pushes Sihan back causing him to fall to the floor, taking the suitcase leaving Nathaniel storms out the bakery. Sihan smiles to himself, he did good, he did good. He looks at his arm that is trembling. He is scared but he is scared of losing Noah more.

He picks up his phone dialling Noah’s tablet and when answers he smiles warmly.

“Noah, I love you.”

Believe it was said that Sihan felt a bit hollow as a character, I don’t know if I’m improving but do you understand him better?
