Kalev’s POV

“Are we all set?”

The servants nodded their heads in reply. I took a glance to the second carriage, full of gifts that I’ve deemed worthy for my handsome and beautiful brother.

I couldn’t help but giggle at my thoughts.

The carriage was filled with myriad of gifts, from jewels to priceless gems and ores. A bundle of luxurious sheets and fabrics for his estate. And I also bought a lot of tamed sky beasts and water beasts as his pet.

“Then if we are. Giddy up!”

The familiar arched iron gates designed with slender branches of willow trees sweeping curves juxtaposed against straight lines of thin serpents of the Tree Asp beasts.

I still couldn’t help but marvel at the magical and fantastic design of the gates, every time the carriage goes through it, I always feel like I had entered a parallel timeline.

“Your emblem, sire?”

Hearing the knights inquiring, I slipped my hand out of the curtain windows and showed them the Royal emblem. After they checked our identities; the sharp groan of the gates indicated that it was slowly being opened.

“Welcome to Domus Aegaeae lunae gelidae..”, the knights saluted as my carriage passes by.

Welcome to the house of the cold Aegean moon…

Good heavens that I studied Id est of the old world, or I might never know the translation of their greeting.

My brother’s estate was fairly big, it sported a wide greenery land with Malus Sylvestris planted in rows, I watched the Bearing Trees along the ride to the large palace.

My smile stretched wide when his palace invaded my line of sight, and I immediately clutched my personal gift for him.

“The young Prince of Varlette has announced his presence!”

Yelled by the coach; I felt the refreshing smell of the air mixed with the Bearing Trees, the chirps of the birds made the palace warmer.

The rows of servants stood on each side of the estate gates welcoming my arrival.

My brother…

I tremble in excitement when I caught a glimpse of my charismatic brother. He wore a bright white nylon of fabric, styled in a summer dress shirt and a fashionable pants.

“Brother!”

Not caring about my Princely image, I sprinted towards my brother.

“Shut up,” I chuckle realizing that I was stopped inches away from him by his hand.

“Did you not miss me?”

I looked at him with sadness, pouting my lips to emphasize my mood. My brother stilled for a moment and for a minute I noticed his crumbling resolve.

“Shut up.”

I giggle quietly when my brother gave me a glare as he turned and walked inside not caring to invite me in. He left me though.

Glancing around whilst smiling as I took in the splendid landscape of the estate and, once again I found myself gaping in silent admiration for my brother’s excellence in redecorating the ‘all-red’ estate of my mother.

“Young Prince, this way please…”

A nonchalant voice that I know too well. Aries. He was the newly bought slave from the market that father personally assessed. He was trained as a butler for the past two months.

He was supposed to be my butler however Father suddenly chose to appoint him as my brother’s personal butler. Being a Personal Butler to a royalty means that they have an equal position as a knight of the Palace.

Lucky commoner…

He carefully led me to a rich well-cultivated region of the Estate. The limestone pathway was placed in alternate style along with unpigmented bricks, walking on it made my heavy boots click to my satisfaction.

Smiling a little. I stopped admiring the pavement and glanced around us; I still could not get my head into it that my brother changed the grandeur estate overnight.

“How pretty…”

“Here we are, Prince Kalev.”

The butler, Aries, bowed in respect once he had fulfilled his duty. Then he excused himself.

Looking at the artistry architecture of the gazebo, I am once again left astounded.

The garden sports different types of plants: Rose Trees, Foxtail Palm live plants, Bonsai, Magnolia Trees, Rose of Sharon and Smoke Trees. There are already blooming flowers like:

Allium, bougainvillea, Delphinium, Gomphrena, Hibiscus and Impatiens.

I could even smell the lemony scent of the Heirloom Roses from here. After admiring the beauteous piece of land, I beheld the comparably outstanding-styled patio furniture, all of which are aluminum.

“I see that you’re enjoying yourself with adoring the changes of the estate.”

Startled by the sudden noise, breaking the peaceful and silent surroundings, I let out a surprise squeak.

‘I squeak like a rat… Does my brother hate me now?’

Swiftly turning around to face my brother, I chuckle to myself seeing him in his what seems to be casual clothing. He wore a puff long-sleeve loose shirt,

‘He looks rather attractive and glowing; his appearance gave off a refreshing look…’

“Brother…”

“Hm?”

I contemplate if I should tell him about it or not but…

“Are you running out of clothes?”

I tilt my head, expressing my confusion about his top. I see him twitch in his seat and he replied with an irritated tone,

“It’s called a sheer voile fabric, idiot.”

“What’s that?”

“It’s a type of fabric that has transparent quality. If I continue to wear those thick layers of cotton fabrics, I might just die from heat stroke and that’s not beautiful.”

I have never seen a fabric like this in my whole life, the tailors and merchants usually sell thick fabrics or cottons that just heightens the heat.

My parents once stopped me from undressing myself because of the summer heat.

“What does it do?”

I carefully assess the simple but fancy looking top of his. It was thin, the blowing wind made the fancy tie attached at the ends of his sleeve sway with ease.

‘He’s not even sweating unlike me…’

His clothes look pleasing and if I wore something like that too, I might never worry about the summer heat coming.

“Well, just so you can understand, as you can perceive the silk sleeves’ little holes provides entrance for the wind to go in..”

“How convenient…”

I commented with awe, it was VERY convenient! Imagine, every time this summer wear is worn under the scorching Sun, instead of sweating we would look more pleasant in the eye!

“Really convenient!”

My brother raised his brows at me, unvoiced questions danced within his shiny Carmen red pair of sight. I approached my brother with giddy eyes, I cannot wait to introduce the innovation in my mind.

Not long after, the maids and his personal butler came with a glass cart of delicacies and beverages that we will soon be consumed.

This would be a long day for the both of us and I’m not complaining!
