It’s been minutes or hours even, but the two longtime friends still hadn’t quit telling each other tales and stories of their journey and Sejin had finished his bread not too long ago either.

‘And now I’m bored…’

Through the see-through glass of the store, he saw families walking by with joyful smiles on their faces. Some were holding boxes of cakes, there must be a birthday going on, and some were buying gifts, maybe for their loved ones.

And his parents, Sejin’s parents- the original Sejin- hadn’t bought anything for him ever since Kalev came to the world. He remembered reading a paragraph containing all the supposed villain’s sorrows and agony.

The emptiness and loneliness of his years.

And the only one who showed him sympathy and love were the Ice god and Kastein, the son of his father’s right hand man or in other words- The chivalrous Commander of the first Royal order of knights.

Kastein was one of his favorite characters in the game. He did what the others didn’t do with Sejin: he showed him the real prowess inside him, he showed him love and sincerity but he died during the intense battle between him and his father.

‘He protected sejin until the end of his breath

He was a cannon fodder if we based it in the game.

Then in my line of sight, I saw a man sitting on a chair just outside a marvelous manor, he was approached by young ladies but a gentle wave of his hand sent them all away blushing when he took the time to spare them a glance.

“Ohohoho” – 😌😏

We were just talking about him.

Glancing at Aries and Shane who’s still busy in their own world, I stood up with grace and silently maneuvered my way out of the store withheld breaths. I only let it out when I finally made my way out.

“Let’s go, this is an opportunity! Thank you, Ice god!”

The ice god in question looked at the blessed child in confusion before glancing to his right where the god of faith, love and, destiny sat, he was the three-faced god.

But the said god only looked away, guilty.

Kastein’s POV

“Kassie! Wake up! Your father had long been gone now!”

Grumbling under my breath, I was woken up by Mary’s yelling. It was always like this, waking me up before the sun even made its way in the dark colored skies.

She acts like my personal alarm by now.

After helping me with my morning routine, I held her hand to steady my paralyzed feet on the ground, walking about 15 minutes like this everyday.

Although the doctor said that I may not be able to walk but he still said that I can still recover but with little chance.

Three years had passed since the day I woke up from a long three years of sleep. The doctor called it a coma where a person would remain paralyzed or unmoving but still breathing.

How cool was that, right?

Then after a practice of walking, I was situated in my wheel chair, a device that the doctor made for me with his sweat and tears.

I wheeled my chair out of my room, passing by a glorious paintings of my family’s portraits, from the first generation to my father’s generation. I was the only child and my mother died when I was a kid.

No memory of her or whatsoever but still the portraits of her in the house made it seem like she was with me, beside me and hugging me.

My father was a commander of an elite royal knights, for him I was a disappointment, I have weak heart that could stop any moment of shock. That’s why I’ve always been careful because no matter how curious I am with my mother’s hug,

“I do not wish to go in the next realm..”

I whispered under my breath after closing my eyes once again after waving a hand at the ladies a while ago.

“Huh?”

I froze the moment a soft stricken whisper and soothing perfume invaded my senses. Hurriedly opening my eyes, I came face-to-face with a pale skinned male with scarlet red hair and sleepy-emotionless green eyes. He was slender and tall, thin but healthy at least.

Then I also let out a ‘huh’ sound and I saw him blushed for a moment before dying down in the last minute.

“I’m Sejin, nice to meet you and I’m not sorry for interrupting you…”

He stated his name with simplicity then a greeting said out of politeness taught to him without any sincerity at all.

I could only chuckle at the last sentence of his statement. He was an amusement to me so far. Without knowing him, I could devise a profession that would probably suit him.

A jester- yeah that would suit him!

“I’m Kastein.. You can call me Kassie and I’m also delighted to meet such funny man like you..”

I chuckled once again when his face contorted into an offended one. He was a book that wouldn’t need words for it to be understood. He was no siren that draws sailors nor a dragon attracting a thief in his treasure cave.

He wasn’t a writer nor a poet either.

But he’s charisma drew even a war mammoth in his space, a dragon would abandon its riches for his presence and beauty, and he would attract writers for his aloof character wishing for him to be one of their fictitious imaginations.

And he was a combination of every poetic words someone could describe. He was an aesthetic of his own league and no one, I assure you no one, could beat him to it.

That’s how I could picture his appealing and ravising beauty.

“It’s rude not to say the household you belong to.”

He clicked his tongue with an annoyed look though I could discern that he’s just acting, as if he was spoiled rotten.

I motioned for Mary to bring another chair for him to sit on.

“Well, you didn’t told me yours, hm?”

I smiled once he sat on the chair provided to him by one of the knights of our household. Sejin sat upright and in a graceful manner, he’s back straight and his shoulder a bit leaned back with his hands joined ontop of his thighs.

Hmm, those thighs..would they look good around me?

“I wonder..”

I said with a thoughtful look not noticing that I said that out loud which confused the quiet odd beauty infront of me however he retorted,

“And so? I don’t want to..”

“And I don’t want to either..”

I smiled once again which he complained about how fake it was and appaling to look at so I striaghtened my back seriously and looked him in the eye.

“Then will the prince like it if I look like this?”

He raised a brow at me.
