Y/n POV

“Check this out!” Ash pointed at the board. I quickly looked at it and saw one of my role models.

“She’s gonna be here!?” I shouted, pushing past Ash. “Diantha!”

“Wow, can’t believe she’s doing an exhibition match.” Serena smiled. “Diantha, Such beauty and grace.”

“She really is amazing.” Clemont chuckled. “Diantha..”

“She’d be perfect to take care of Clemont!” Bonnie giggled. “Hmm….Diantha.”

“Who’s Diantha?” Ash broke the moment with his silly question. 

“WHO’S DIANTHA!? WHO’S DIANTHA! DIANTHA, THH CHAMPION OF THE KALOS REGION, A FAMOUS MOVIE STAR AND MY ULTIMATE ROLE MODEL!” I shook Ash by his shoulders and shouted. “WE’RE GOING TO THAT EXHIBITION MATCH!”

“Stop shaking me!” Ash shouted. I stopped shaking him and he said. “I want to go to that match as well.”

“We’re coming too!” The others said. We all started to run to where the match was being held.

Once we had gotten to the stadium, we were travelling through the halls when we saw a crowd of people outside of a door with a small woman shouting at them.

“Diantha will not be having any interviews today!” She shouted.

“Psst! Here.” We turned to see a familiar man calling us into a room.

“Professor Sycamore!” Serena was shocked.

“Yeah, thats me! Now come inside.” We all entered the room and sat down. “Well I’d never expect this.”

“What is it?” Little Bonnie asked.

“Y/n’s travelling with you.” He chuckled. “I’m sorry about what happened in Lumiose.” 

“Its fine, I’m thankful I still have Swablu with me.” I replied.

“I guess you’re here researching Diantha’s Gardevoirs Mega Evolution.” Clemont looked at him.

“Observant as always Clemont.” The professor remarked.

“She’s getting her makeup done in the next room.” He pointed to a door. Ash ran to the door shouting.

“I want to have a battle!” The door opened to reveal the beautiful Champion of the uk Diantha standing at the door.

“Oh, I see you have guests. My apologies.” I couldn’t contain my excitement, all I could do was smile widely.

The professor wanted to use Diantha’s Keystone for research which she denied for him to take from her, she said it was something to do with the bonds between her and Gardevoir, her words inspired me so much. The professor also tried to hit on her assistant but got hit in the face with a book. We were then called to get ready to watch the battle.

As both battlers entered the field, the crowd were ecstatic. It was amazing to see how much support Diantha had. Professor Sycamore also started talking about how every pokemon needs a mega stone for it to evolve. Just then I had a sudden thought.

“Swablu.” I said releasing my pokemon.

“Ah, interesting.” The professor remarked.

“Whats so interesting about Y/n’s swablu?” Bonnie asked. “Apart from it being so cute!” 

“Swablu, when it evolves into Altaria can mega evolve. So I’m hoping to gain some knowledge out of this experience.” I giggled. “Now swablu, you need to watch carefully.”

After the battle had ended, the crowd was once again ecstatic. Unfortunately Diantha didn’t use Mega Evolution, but the battle was still awesome. After leaving the stadium we tried to go to a cafe for something to eat, but there was a huge queue out the door.

“That queue won’t stop me!” Serena yelled.

“Wait for me!” I shouted.

After waiting for ages we finally got a slice, it was so small but it was the last one left. Serena and I regrouped with the others and Ash tried to eat the whole thing. 

“Hey!” I slapped the hand away. “We didn’t go through trials and tribulation to get that one piece of cake for you to eat. Its for all of us!” 

“No way!” Ash huffed.

“This is where I step in!” Clemont stated.

“What’s he doing?” I was seriously concerned.

“Being Clemont. You’ll get used to it.” Serena giggled.

Clemont had created this machine that would equally cut the slice of cake without fail. However he couldn’t get to using it as we had invited a woman to have a bit of cake. It turns out the lady was Diantha herself. After seeing that it was her I became very quiet. They ended up talking about her work life and things like that, however ash challenged her to a pokemon battle. She accepted and I started to speak.

“Um…Excuse me?” I piped up. “Can I join in the battle too please?” 

“Hmm, ok then.” She smiled. “Technically it would be unfair but I think I can handle it.”

“Thank you so much, it means a lot.” I smiled, Ash nudging me.

We went into a clearing in the forest, reading up for the battle.

“So? What pokemon are you going to use?” Diantha asked.

“I only have one so…” I giggled. “Swablu! Centre stage!”

“Go Pikachu!” Ash said.

“I’ll let you guys have the first move.” She said.

“Pikachu use Iron Tail!” Ash shouted.

“Swablu use Cotton Guard!” I yelled.

“Now use electro ball.” Ash instructed.

“Use Round!” I told Swablu, Gardevoir avoiding both attacks.

“Checkmate. Gardevoir, use Shadow ball.” Gardevoir jumped into life, it used shadow ball which was a direct hit on Ash’s Pikachu. Swablu cowered and hit the floor.

“Swablu, Ghost type moves don’t affect you!” I said.

Suddenly, a cage was ejected from somewhere, capturing Gardevoir. Team Rocket had struck down and caged the beautiful Gardevoir. It seemed like they had escaped, but in actual fact Diantha knew where Gardevoir was. With that being said, we chased after them, Clemont falling behind.

We came across Team Rocket in a forest, with Gardevoir. Diantha went straight to it. But what surprised me the most, is that she Mega evolved her Gardevoir. I have one thing to say about that Gardevoir. Its got some real power on it. Destroying the cage with a mirage of Shadow Balls and getting rid of Team Rocket with a single Moonblast. I was in awe.

Suddenly, Diantha’s helicopter arrived to take her away. She turned to me before she left.

“Y/n, I know we didn’t finish our battle, but I wanted to leave you with this.” She took something out of her pocket. “It was a spare that I had gotten from my travels.”

Diantha, the champion handed me a keystone. I was in utter shock. “You’re just going to give it to me?” 

“Yes. I leave this with you.” She started. “You and your swablu show a strong bond between you. When the time is right, you two shall mega evolve together and reinforce that bond.”

She suddenly left in her helicopter, the professor turned to me and said.

“Oh right! I completely forgot!” He said. “Y/n, I was supposed to give this to you earlier but I forgot. Here.”

Next thing you know the professor had handed me a pokedex to keep. He said that with it I could also look at the map, places to eat, things to do and different shops. Apparently it could also function as a normal pokedex as well.  We then started to leave too.

“Onwards to Shalour City!” We cheered.”
