Chan and Seungho met up often after that, they would go to Soul Cup together or eat together at the cafeteria, but they never physically contacted one another since every time they met up it was by chance and they never exchanged numbers.

Seungho was at home and he finally pulled closer the one suitcase he didn’t want to unpack at first but now he was sitting on his living room floor with the bag in front of him, he unzipped it and opened it.

He looked at everything that was inside and had a small smile on his face, he reached in and took out a bunch of medals, they ranged from bronze and silver to gold, the next thing he took out was his skates, they were a little worn out but they held a lot of memories for him so he couldn’t just get rid of them.

He took out the last costume he wore, or well was going to wear, it was the costume he had specially made for the competition but with his injury, he never had the opportunity to wear it, next he took out an old notebook, it wasn’t in great condition but he paged through it carefully and smiled a little.

The book was where he and his coach would create routines but his mom always shot all of the routines down so they never actually left the book, but it was his and his couches little thing, they would meet before practice and work on programs for him.

The rest of the things in the suitcase were accessories and things he wanted to keep as keepsakes such as photos and a few other things.

Seeing everything in front of him made him think of Chan’s words again, he wondered if there was still anyone out there waiting for his return, he knew Chan was but he also knew the older would never push him to return.

Seungho picked up his phone and opened up Naver and started looking for Ice Rinks close to him since with the snow they had the night before it was quite impossible to go to the rink they were at the last time.

He found a rink and a sports center that sells skates and sharpened the blades, he got up and went to his room, he wasn’t sure that what he wanted to do was a good idea but he knew if he didn’t do it now he would lose the courage to do it later.

He got dressed and called up Yooa.

“Yoo, can you meet me right now?” He asked the moment she picked up the phone, Yooa was taken back a little, Seungho sounded excited and it was something new for her to experience as the boy was quite mellow since they started getting close.

“Sure… Where are we going?”

“It’s a surprise, meet me outside in like 10 minutes,” he said excitedly and hung up almost immediately, he grabbed a bag he had and placed his skates and an extra jacket in it and checked that he had everything he needed such as his phone, and his wallet and he then left his room and went down.

He waited a few minutes and Yooa came outside, luckily she dressed warmly as the rinks are usually quite cold. He smiled at her as she walked over to him, she returned the smile and looked at him curiously hoping she would get an answer now as to where they were going.

“Not telling you,” he said with a wink, “Come on we got to get on the subway,” he said and threw his arm over her shoulder.

The two walked like that, they got looks from a few people some whispering that they were a cute couple but the two kept laughing at those comments, they were cousins, after all, they found it funny though regardless of their familial connection because both knew even if they weren’t family there was no way they would date.

Seungho was Bisexual yes but Yooa was a lesbian so the two would most possibly be just best friends in that case.

When they got to the subway they bought their tickets and waited a bit for the train to arrive, the two caught up a little as they were busy with work majority of the time or their own personal lives kept them busy.

When the train arrived they sat down. The train ride flew by and soon enough they arrived at their destination, their first stop was the sports center when they arrived Yooa was a little surprised but it also made her quite curious.

Seungho went over to the counter and told them he wanted the blades on his skates sharpened and then handed them over to the lady behind the desk once he took them out of his bag.

It took a few minutes and Yooa was just wandering around the shop, she stood by the skate section, she always wanted to learn how to skate, she loved watching Seungho skate as the two grew up so she was contemplating buying a pair.

“Are you looking for skates?” a voice asked behind her, she turned around and was surprised to see the prettiest girl she has ever seen.

“Huh? Oh yeah… I want to ask my cousin to teach me” she said with a small smile and pointed to Seungho who was busy paying for his blades.

“Hmm well, if you ever want to buy skates here is my number, I will come with… I have been skating for a while now and I know how hard it is to find the right pair” the girl said and handed Yooa a card, before turning around and walking to the counter, the girl stopped for a second and looked at Yooa.

“What’s your name?” she asked, her smile growing bigger,

“My name is Yooa and you are?”

“Song Soojin, call me Yooa,” Soojin said before starting her walk again.

Seungho walked over to Yooa with a teasing smile.

“Look at you getting a girl’s number,” he said and got a slap in return.

The two left the shop and walked towards the ice rink, they entered it and it was basically empty, Seungho walked over to the front desk.

“Hello, how much is it for three hours?” he asked, the boy behind the counter looked up and his eyes widened a little.

“You are Cho Seungho, oh my word it’s really you, go ahead and skate all you want, the rink is quiet today, oh wow,” the boy said in surprise.

“Oh, thank you so much, what’s your name?”

“I’m Daehun”

“Nice to meet you Daehun,” Seungho said with a big smile and pulled Yooa to the rink.

“What are we doing here?” she asked, a little surprised.

“Will you film me?” was all he asked.

“What do you mean by film?”

“Film me… I am going to create a social media, I want to post this” he said and Yooa started smiling.

“OF COURSE,” she said and held her hand out, he handed her his phone and sat down, he took his shoes off and put on his old skates, he tied them properly and got up, he took off the protective cover of the blades and moved onto the ice.

He skated around a bit doing small jumps trying to shake off his nerves and then once he was ready he stopped at the rink side and gave Yooa the go and skated to the middle of the rink.

Although he didn’t have music playing he still did his best, he skated his heart out sure he fumbled with some jumps but he was sure a few tries he would get the hang of things again, he was sure of it.

They spent a long time there, continuously working on the video, Yooa watched in awe behind the camera and even Daehun came and watched after getting permission from his boss, and even his boss came to take a peek at the skater.

They were all in awe, no matter how many times Seungho fell or missed a step or even slipped he never gave up, his passion was showing, and the words kept repeating in his head.

“Skate for fun, go out there and have fun” those words kept repeating he kept imagining that Chan was watching him, and he saw the older boy’s proud look and he kept getting more and more motivated to the point where after 5 tries at the routine he landed all his jumps perfectly and he executed it perfectly.

When they stopped filming Seungho was drenched in sweat and he was tired, his legs felt like jelly but he had a feeling in his chest a rush of something that kept him going and he didn’t mind the exhaustion he was feeling.

He wanted to know what Chan would think of this program, he was really curious about what the boy would think about it.

When they got home the two split up and when Seungho got into his room he immediately took his laptop and created an Instagram account in a hurry and added the video on there and went to look for the Stray Kids Instagram account and followed it in the hopes of Chan seeing it was him.

Once he was done with that he went to take a shower and went straight to bed, he was tired and he had class the next day so he didn’t want to show up utterly sleep-deprived.

While he was sleeping Chan was in bed playing around on his phone, he had a hobby of going through their fans posts and when the notification on the official account came through that they got a new follower he was sure it was just more fans following but as he was going through the account one icon looked familiar.

He knew who it was and hurriedly clicked on it, the account was new and it had one singular post, he clicked on the post and the video started playing and he watched it in awe. There Seungho was skating his heart out, Chan found that the boy looked happy and he could feel the boy’s passion for it through the screen, there was a caption below the video and once the video was done he went to read it.

“Hello everyone, I am Cho Seungho… I am a figure skater, or well I am taking a break for a while now but a friend of mine suggested I make an account to see if anyone still remembers me… so here I am.

Also a big thanks to my cousin Yooa who came out to film this with me” the caption was written in English and in Korean, Chan ended up watching the video again and he wondered if anyone would find the boy, he saw a few of their fans speak about Seungho so he was curious if they have seen or even found the boy’s account.

He wanted to help but he wasn’t sure how he kept thinking about what would help and it struck him… he wanted to show his reaction to this to his fans, he wanted to talk about it… he would just need to talk to his manager and Seungho about it first.
