HUH YUNJIN

“See ya Yunjin” She says, then leaves my room, the door shutting behind her. My mind was just reeling back from what I just did. I almost let my desire for her takeover. I shake my head and sip my energy drink. I got barely any sleep last night.

I go on my phone, scrolling through TikTok. distracting myself from the thoughts I get about Chaewon. Of course, I leave my office and roam the halls, making sure everyone is in class. Before, I came here to do my job. Now? I feel like the only reason I come here is for her, and it’s killing me.

I talked to one of my old coworkers and high school classmates. I maybe I just need one night out, I am an adult so I can go out with my friend.

FLASHBACK

“Yun… that is a serious problem” She says, sipping her coffee. “I know, but I can’t help it, she just does something to me” I say, rubbing the sides of my head. “How about this, you and me on Friday, we go to a club, party, and maybe you’ll meet someone that will take your mind off a student at your job” She says, outting her hand on my shoulder. “Ryujin… I could get fired if I do that” I say.

“Who said we were going during the day? no we’re going at night. And it’s Friday. you dothabe to work on the weekends. you have all weekend to get over your hangover and by monday, you’ll be sober” She reasons. “And what if someone posts something and my boss sees it?” I say. “Don’t give out your social, How would the school find it if your not tagged in the pictures or videos” She says. “The kids Ryujin, the kids” I say softly.

“You really need to stop being paranoid, this school is not like ours, I’m sure these kids are not that evil” She says. I sigh, reluctantly agreeing to go with her.

“Fine, I’m in”

END OF FLASHBACK

I sigh, checking my phone for the time. 8:56am. A few more hours to go and I’m out of here, away from Chaewon so she can’t corrupt my mind anymore than she has.

Ryujin and I entered the club, the loud music filling our ears, laughing and chatting is all around. female waiters were serving people cocktails, beer, and other alcoholic beverages. Ryujin smiled and turns to me. “See? the perfect place to forget about something that could get you arrested” she says.

I let out a sigh. “I guess your right Ryujin, but you can technically still get arrested here” I say. “If your careful you won’t” She replies, then walks over to one of the counters. I shake my head and follow her. I take a sit next to her. she calls over a waiter, which Ryujin immediately recognizes them.

“Yeji? you work here” She says in a surprised tone. “Yeah, I just started a week ago, so what can I get ya?” she says with a cheeky smile. Ryujin orders the drinks while I look around, I’m still paranoid I could get fired. I haven’t partied like this since high school.

Minutes later, Ryujin hands me a drink. I take it and sip it slowly. I turn and look at the crowd, when I see someone that looks a little too close to Chaewon. my mind immediately starts going off with the dirty thoughts, without thinking. I chugged my drink and ordered more.

Moments later, I’m drunk off my ass. Ryujin is also drunk and dancing. A girl comes up to me, I can smell the alcohol on her breath. “Heyyy” She says, her voice slurring due to the alcohol. “Hi” I say, my voice also slurs. “What’s your name?” she asks, placing a hand on my shoulder. “I don’t know, what’s yours?” I say. “Well ‘i don’t know’ I’m Minjeong” she says.

I chuckle, and she leans closer to me. “you know, you’re like super hot” she says, her fingers tracing my collarbone through my shirt. “could say the same for you” I say back, also leaning closer. without any second thoughts, our lips crash into together.

Before I know it, me and the girl are heading to a more private area. I’m too drunk to think clearly. but for the rest of the night, not once did I think of Chaewon.
