Magnetic || Purinz chapter 1

HUH YUNJIN

The next day, my alarm blares at 6:30am. I groan and shut it off. sitting up and rubbing my eyes, waking myself up. I get up out of my bed, and I go to Eunchae’s room. I open the door, to see Eunchae sleeping. “Get up!” I say loud enough. She groans, and sits up. “But school doesn’t start until 8” she says.

“Schools says you can come to school when I go there for work, so get up” I say, walking out her room and closing the door behind me. I immediately head to my room and grabs the shirt the school give me for work and some baggy jeans. not too baggy and not ripped. I head to my bathroom and I turn on the hot water.

I strip and I step in. the warm water hitting my body, leaving goosebumos for a second.

After my shower, I get dressed, and I blow-dry my orange hair, then I pull it back into high ponytail, only leaving my side bangs out. I head out my bathroom and I check the time on my phone. 7:18am. I head downstairs, to see Eunchae, dressed and eating breakfast.

Jihyo is up and smiles as she hands me a plate of eggs and bacon. I smile and thank her. then I eat my breakfast.

After breakfast, Eunchae goes upstairs and packs her school bag. I go to my room and pack my work bag, I grab my phone and a charger. Just incase, plus I know Eunchae’s phone dies a lot because she never plus it in at night.

I finish and I grab my coat and car keys. “Eunchae!! come on!!” I shout, heading downstairs. “Coming!!!” she shouts back, we put our shoes on and we say goodbye to Jihyo. Momo had already left for work so we couldn’t say goodbye to her. we both go to my car and I start the engine. Eunchae sits in the front seat, on her phone. I pull out the driveway and I drive to the school.

I park my car in the parking lot of the school. we get out and I head in through the back, where the staff enter from. Eunchae follows me in. Right way, we’re met with the Principal. Bang Si-hyuk. “Hello Mr. Si-hyuk” I say politely. “Hi Mr. PD” Eunchae says after me. “Morning Ladies, Cold Morning is it?” He says to me. I chuckle. “Yep” He laughs softly.

“Well, Your office is on the second floor, near the cafeteria. It has your name on the sign so you’ll find it” He says. I nod, taking in his directions. I thank him, then Me and Eunchae go to my office.

we enter and Eunchae sets down her bag on the floor, sitting at the table. “Alright Manchae, you head to class once the bell rings got it?” I say. “Okay” She says, then turns back to her phone. “Yunjin?” she says. I turn to my little sister. “Yes?” I say. “Do you think I can leave my phone in here to charge until Lunch?” she asks. I smile and shake my head.

“You really need to learn to plug your phone in, but yes. I brought my charger” I say. i check the time and it’s 30 seconds until the bell rings. Eunchae hands me her phone and grabs her bag. once the bell rings, she heads to class. I get up and stand outside my office, I’m lucky cause it’s on the corner.

It’s mandatory that during transition, the hall monitors stand outside to watch the students go to class and make sure they go to class. which I have no problem doing. I watch as students pass by with their friends, chatting and walking as they get to their classes. A couple students notice me, but they don’t say anything about it.

Minutes later, the bell rings and the halls are clear. But then I see Mr. Si-Hyuk walk up to me. “I wanted to introduce you to the school, so students know how you are” He says. I nod. “I get it, I’m okay with that” I say, then I follow him to the first class. It’s full of a seniors. The teacher looks up and all the students turn to look at the Principal and me.

I look around at the students, when one catches my eye. She has short black hair, she has cheetah looking eyes, she stares at me, looking me up and down. then she looks at Mr. Si-hyuk, but I guess the students call him Mr. PD.

“Good morning everyone, I’m sorry for the interruption, but I wanted to introduce you to our new hall monitor, her name is Ms. Huh” He says, then gestures to me. I smile and wave. some students say hello while others just wave to me.

“Like all the others, she will make sure you will get to class on time” He says, and I nod slightly. They nod at his words. “Thank you for your time” He says, then we both leave the class. He takes me to a bunch of different classes, and they same thing happens.

Finally, I’m able to sit in my office and do something until next transition. But then the girl from the first class pops into my head, I shake my head, snapping her out of my thoughts. I don’t even know the girl. I distract myself by checking some emails the school sent, and I spend some time on my personal phone. I have a work phone that is right next to my keyboard on my desk.

Finally, the bell rings.
