KIM CHAEWON

“You ready Eunchae?” I ask over FaceTime while doing my makeup. “Almost, I’m trying to pick a outfit” She says, sounding a bit frustrated. I finish my makeup, my outfit is already finished so I spray my setting spray on. “Okay, show me what you have” I say, looking at my phone screen. She flips her camera and shows me two outfits.

The first outfit is a cute light purple crop top and skirt two piece with a black see though jacket, the dress is short so she has a pair of black safety shorts underneath.

The second outfit is a little more revealing. It has a cropped leather jacket with a black crop top, then their some shorts, those shorts are really short.

“I like the first one, but I really first one. but what if you combined the first and second one. like use the safety shorts and the skirt from the first one and the jacket and the top of the second one”

“You think that will look good?” Eunchae asks.

“Yeah, if I have a hard time choosing what I want to wear, I combine the two, and it always looks good” I say, smiling. “Okay, I’ll try it” She says, then turns her camera off so she can get dressed.

I take the opportunity to finish getting ready, putting on my accessories and slipping on my boots. I’m wearing a leather flowy skirt with a red tight-fitted crop top and a black jean jacket. My boots are short but they rise past my ankle. My hair is wavy with a plain black headband sitting in the middle, my bangs are in their normal position.

I turn back to my phone, and Eunchae turns her camera on, showing me the combination of the outfit.

“So? what do you think?” She asks. “Perfect, I told you it would look good” I say, giving her a confident smile. “Great, so I guess your picking me up?” Eunchae asks.

“Yep, unless your sister is picking you up” I say. “I don’t know so just pick me up” She says. “Great, be there in 5 bye!” I say, then we both hang up. I grab my phone and head out.

It doesn’t take long before I arrive at Eunchae’s house. I text Eunchae and tell her I’m here, then she walks out, saying bye to her mom. “Hey” She says smiling. “Ready to go?” I say, holding my hand out to her. “Yep, let’s go!” She says, taking my hand. then we start walking.

We arrive at the party, and right away I see Sakura and Kazuha talking to someone, smiling and laughing. My eyes narrow, my suspicions are rising. Eunchae drags me along to the food table, also with all of the drinks too.

“Wow, that’s a lot of food” she says in shock. I chuckle. “Well, I’m going to stay here, but there is an alcoholic table over there” she says, pointing to it. “It’s probably for the college kids” I say. Then my favorite song starts playing. “Hey Eunchae, wanna dance with me? as friends?” I ask. “Are you kidding? Yes” She says happily and we both start to dance and laugh, having the best time.

I notice Ms. Huh leaning against the wall, looking incredibly hot. I keep dancing with Eunchae, trying my best to not look at her. Eunchae soon taps me on the shoulder and points to where Sakura and Kazuha were standing, there gone. “Should we look for them?” she asks. “Yeah, something doesn’t sit right with me” I say, then we both split up. I tap the person they were talking to, which is Jo Yuri.

“Hi Chaewon, what’s up?” she says. “Have you seen Sakura and Kazuha?” I ask urgently. “They went into the hall, looking for a private room” She says. Fear immediately fills my body. “Thank you” I say. then I go to find Eunchae, which wasn’t hard. “Eunchae!” I yell, she turns around and sees me. “No luck?” She asks. “I have luck, come on” I say, sounding terrified. she nods in concern.

We immediately head to the hall, and we open every door, nothing so far. but at the end of the hall, we hearing noises. we approach the door quietly. “I’m gonna open it on the count of three okay?” Eunchae whispers. I nod.

“One… Two… Three”

Eunchae opens the door and my eyes widen. Sakura and Kazuha are making out passionately. Hurt, Betrayal, and Anger fills my body. “What’s going on here?” I question. They both look at us in shock. then Kazuha quickly tries to downplay. “Baby, it’s not what it looks like-” she says, but I interrupt.

“Not what it looks like!? are you serious right now? You’re sitting here, making out with my fucking best friend. or so I thought since you two have been avoiding me for weeks! YOU’RE LITERALLY CHEATING ON ME YOU BITCH!!” I snap, the anger and hurt I’m feeling is clear.

Eunchae shakes her head in disappointment. Then Sakura stands up. “Chae, please listen to us, we didn’t mean this” She says. “I don’t want to here you’re fucking excuses, I’m done with you Sakura, and Kazuha we’re done” I say.

“What’s going on here?”

I freeze in my place, recognizing that voice. It’s Ms. Huh. Yunjin. I turn to her, and shake my head. “Nothing” I say. Eunchae justs stands silently, she’s mirroring my anger for Sakura and Kazuha. I just let out a huff and storm out the room.

“Chaewon! Wait!”
