Recap

     After all that she had been through, she is still the same, kind, compassionate, fun loving, crazy fan girl, who doesn’t hesitate to defend him anywhere and flutters around like a butterfly. Her determination and persistence are not a common virtue in the girls of her age.
She is one of a kind.
He felt that Clara was right, that Julie has wrapped him around her fingers.

     He texted Clara about tomorrow’s schedule regarding the sub contractors meeting that has been arranged in his office, with that he kept his phone aside and slept with the thoughts of a beautiful girl who captivated him like no one.

     The next day in the office, there was subcontractors meeting by 11 so Clara came to the office in the morning.

     Henry and Clara walked out of his cabin when Julie joined them with the files, a step behind Henry to his left. Clara looked behind her shoulders over to Julie and smirked with the satisfaction of walking equally with Henry due to her professional relationship with him, she was proud of her superiority. Though she did not have feelings for Henry, it was her ego that was hurt yesterday so she wanted to reassure herself about her value. Her expression to belittle Julie did not go unnoticed by Henry. He abruptly halted his steps and said, “Julie, did you get the last three contractors file?” He matched her steps and walked along with her.
“Yes, sir”
“Make note of the figures they have quoted for a comparative analysis”
Clara did not understand whether Henry backed off intentionally or was it casual because Henry’s move was so smooth.

     They entered the conference hall. Henry gracing the head of the table, Clara and Julie facing each other on either side of Henry. Julie was taking notes as the contractors presented their proposal one after the other. She tried to ignore the growling of her stomach. She should have ate the breakfast that Chelsea had made instead of the apple. Just then her phone lit up, she checked to find a text message from
“HK💖” she straightened in her chair.
“Any trouble?”
She looked at him to find an unbothered CEO keenly listening to the proposal. She checked the time of the message to reassure whether it was really Henry, who sent that message in the middle of the meeting. Henry glanced at her for a flicker of a second and raised his eyebrows at her. She stealthily took the phone to her lap under the table and replied,
“Nothing sir”
Her face had grown hot, as if she is cheating in an exam for using the phone in the meeting. However she don’t have to bother about getting caught because she was texting the CEO himself.

     When Henry checked her reply, he stared at Julie and gave a ‘I don’t buy that’ look. Julie could not pretend anymore since he gave that serious look.
“Just hungry” she replied.

     Clara found Henry’s focus was deviated and she undoubtedly knew that Julie must be the source. In next few minutes, there was a knock.
Henry announced,
“Let’s continue the session after the refreshment”
Julie blushed and kept her face down, she felt butterflies in her stomach at his sweet gesture. The staff from the cafeteria, arranged the side table with mini, bite sized sandwiches, chocolate croissants and fruit juice. He served it to Henry and Clara while the others helped themselves.

     As Henry gestured no, Clara said,
“I will get coffee for the both of us”.
Julie was already there brewing coffee while munching her croissant.
“Are you making for Henry?” Clara asked.
Julie nodded, Clara made hers and said,
“I will take it to him” Julie said okay and continued to eat her refreshment.

     Once Julie came back to her seat, Henry said, “Thank you for the coffee”
she smiled and said,
“Thank you for the refreshment”
Clara felt like she was third wheeling them. She was curious that how could Henry be so confident that the coffee was made by Julie and not her.

     The meeting went on for next one hour, Julie kept yawning for the third time in the last five minutes. She received yet another text message that said,

“Seems like someone’s bored”

“Maybe, but I am on point with the notes”

“How disappointing! I was expecting another masterpiece doodle art☹️ like the bikini one”

Julie suppressed her laugh. Clara was literally staring at Julie with exasperation. Julie ignored her and drew a girl sticking her tongue out on a girl, wearing a business suit, who is folding her hands with a grumpy face.
She texted, “Here you go Honey” Henry’s posture stiffened on reading Julie’ new endearment. He knew that if she chose to tease him here, he can’t escape it with Clara’s hawk eyes, the rising heat to his face would be evident that he is having a tough time controlling his masculine hormones. So he faked a cough to cover up his red face and drank some water. Julie had fun watching him.

     The meeting was over in next few minutes and people had dispersed. Clara had enough, so she said in an irked voice, “Julie, prepare the minutes of the meeting, attach you notes along and report to me in next half an hour. I will be in Henry’s office” with authority.

     “Woah! Miss Wilson relax, I think you are mistaken. I am actually working for Mr Kingston, I would only take orders from him, I don’t have to report to anyone else. And if you have to refer the minutes of the meeting, it will be put it on the file cabinet in Mr Kingston’s office tomorrow, you can check there.”

     “This is not how you talk to me” Clara lashed out in fury.
“Same goes for you” Julie shrugged.
“Henry?” Clara called out Henry to back her up or say something about Julie’ rude behaviour.
“Technically she is right” Henry’s nonchalant tone riled her up even more.
“She only reports to me” he added.
“Just look at her notes, she was slacking at work by scribbling or I think drawing something”
“Let me see” Henry asked curiously. He flipped the pages and stopped at the doodle art, he could not contain his laugh at Julie’s funny and comical description.
“Nice work, keep it up” he patted Julie on her shoulder lightly and walked off smirking. Julie quickly took all her stuffs and followed him.

      That evening, Julie paid advance and shifted to the new house at once, as it was already fully furnished. Ricky, the realtor had actually came with a good deal for Julie, she insisted on his commission, but he strongly refused. He left saying,
“Give my greetings and respect to the Boss” Julie laughed at the fun memory she had with Henry yesterday.

     Just then her bell rang, she opened to find a delivery man. She received the parcel and was curious as to who would send her parcel to her new address as she had just shifted. She quickly opened to find a very beautiful painting, she did not need the sender’s details when it had blue butterfly in it because it was obvious that it was from Him. The painting was very detailed, it had a pretty sparkling crystal blue butterfly, majestically gracing a gigantic royal throne which had very intricate details.

     Julie instantly loved the painting, she fixed it in her drawing room. She took her phone and texted,
“I absolutely loved the painting, thank you😘“

“Looking at the emoji I should have given the gift in person” Henry replied.

“☺️“(shy)

“Don’t provoke me Julie, I am in the middle of a dinner meet”

“How come you get aroused by a text message 😇 (innocent)”

“Should I send you a picture of my b*ner?”

Heat rushed up to her cheeks reading the message. It was easy to act all bold in text message, she doubted if she could be so confident to tease him in person as she would be hyperventilating when he is too intimate with her. He would have an intimidating and dominating persona.

“I believe you D”

“D?? Whats that? My mind suggests me all inappropriate names already”

Julie laughed and replied,
“I will leave you to assume D..😘“

She looked at his photos in gallery and said good night D and she dozed off in her new home.
Henry racked his brain for a long time that night regarding the D word. All he could think of was only dirty and explicit words.

     Clara and Henry were finalising the design and concept for the next series launch. Julie came in with the model portfolio, when Clara announced, “I would like to name the series as project D“

“What??!?!?!?” Henry and Julie said together in shock.
