Caesar

I am sitting in the back of my sleek, black car. In the front, the driver kept his eyes straight ahead, his knuckles white as he gripped the steering wheel, navigating through the city streets at breakneck speed. Akim sitting beside the driver and fidgeting with his fingers.

Behind us, a convoy of armored SUVs followed, each packed with my most loyal bodyguards, their presence is a testament to the force I was prepared to bring down on anyone who crossed me.

A storm brewing inside my mind. My jaw clenched, fingers drumming an impatient rhythm on the armrest, eyes narrowed and staring out at the blur of the city as we were about to reach the police station.

The thought of Igor in a cell, the most precious person of my life, the man who is my world, infuriated me to the core. No one can touch him. No one. The consequences would be catastrophic, and I intended to make sure everyone knew just how costly it would be.

Next minute, I pulled out my second phone, calling my lawyer with a quick, sharp motion.

“Get to the police station. Now!” My voice was low and ice-cold as soon as he picked up.

“Akim informed me. I am on my way” He said.

“The bail papers should be in your hand when you reach there. I don’t care what strings you have to pull. I want him out today”.

“Understood, Caesar” The lawyer’s voice, though steady, but laced with urgency.

Then, I tossed the phone onto the seat beside me, my fury barely simmering beneath the surface. The car sped through the streets, the police station now looming ahead in the distance.

As the station came into view, I leaned forward slightly, my voice was low but brimming with menace.

“I want everyone in that station to know who they’re dealing with. I want Igor out at any cost…If they resist, we’ll remind them what it means to challenge the king”.

“Understood, boss” Akim’s gaze hardened.

The driver pulled up to the station entrance, the sound of tires screeching slightly as the car came to a halt. My bodyguards stepped out of the SUVs, creating a formidable presence that made onlookers stop in their tracks.

The police officers stationed outside watched nervously as the dark procession unfolded, their hands inching toward their radios.

With a sharp motion, I opened the door and stepped out, my towering figure immediately drawing all attention. I began my slow, deliberate walk toward the station’s entrance, my presence so commanding that the officers outside instinctively stepped back. The air was electric with tension, everyone sensing the storm that had arrived at their doorstep.

I am here to make it clear that Igor’s arrest had been the gravest mistake they could’ve made.

Third POV

Every officer, every civilian, every soul present froze the moment Caesar stepped inside. It was as if the air had been sucked out of the room.

Caesar strode in with a slow, deliberate pace, his sharp gaze sweeping over the station like a hawk surveying prey.

All eyes were on him, wide with shock and terror. No one had expected him to show up, certainly not, the Mafia King, a man who ruled from the shadows, now standing in the very heart of the system.

The murmurs of people reporting their petty crimes died instantly, their words catching in their throats as they saw him enter. The officers behind the desks exchanged nervous glances, hands twitching toward their holsters but never daring to reach for their weapons.

As Caesar moved further into the station, the crowd parted instinctively. Police officers who prided themselves on their authority now stepped aside without hesitation, their eyes avoiding his, their bodies betraying their fear.

Caesar stopped in the center of the room, his back straight, his gaze unwavering. Without breaking the silence, without uttering a single word, he reached for a chair at a nearby desk. He pulled the chair to the center of the room and sat down. He crossed one leg over the other, leaning back with an air of absolute command, his arms resting on the chair’s back as he waited.

The room stood still. No one moved. No one breathed. No one had prepared for this. No one had prepared for… him.

Finally, a middle aged officer stepped forward.

“We, uh, we weren’t expecting…” The officer croaked, his voice betraying his unease.

“I’m here for Igor” Caesar’s eyes narrowed. His voice is quiet but dripping with authority.

“But… but we have evidence. The head officer…” He stammered.

“I don’t care about your evidence. Igor is leaving with me today” Caesar said, each word precise and lethal.

The officer’s breath hitched, and the room, if possible, grew even quieter. Caesar’s calm, quiet fury was far more terrifying than any outburst.

The air in the station was heavy with dread when the doors creaked open again. Caesar’s lawyer, a sharp, well-dressed man entered. The lawyer took a cautious step forward, swallowing hard as he approached Caesar.

He opened his mouth to speak, to offer a formal greeting, but the words caught in his throat as Caesar’s eyes lifted to meet his. Those cold, sharp eyes pierced through him, cutting deeper than any words ever could.

Caesar didn’t need to speak to give his orders, his gaze alone was enough. It was a single, calculated look, and the lawyer understood perfectly what he was supposed to do.

“I’m here to process the bail for Igor” The lawyer looked at the middle age officer.

He pulled out the necessary papers, desperate to get this done and out of the suffocating presence of Caesar’s wrath. The middle-aged officer’s hands trembled slightly as he reached for the papers, but instead of proceeding, he hesitated. He looked back at Caesar, then at the lawyer, his jaw tightening with anxiety.

“We… we can’t process the bail” The officer stammered.

“What do you mean you can’t process the bail? Everything is in order here” The lawyer said.

“The head officer…the one who ordered Igor’s arrest, he’s not here. Without his approval… we can’t release him” The officer’s voice is barely above a whisper.

Caesar’s eyes darkened, his calm exterior beginning to crack. The second, he stood up and was ready to unleash his wrath, the doors to the station swung open again with a loud bang. Every head turned as a tall, stern-faced man entered the room. His presence commanding in its own right but nothing compared to Caesar’s.

This was the head officer… Elijah Carter.
