  “What…?” I blinked.
“Ugh, mortals…” A flash of lightning struck above us as “Notos” rolled his eyes.
“Follow.”
“No.” The boy glared at me. His jade eyes matched the dark foliage under the clouds.
“Don’t make this harder for yourself, child.”
“Child?! I’m older than you, surely!”
“Do you have a hearing issue? I. Am. A. God. As in Hellenic,” Notos scoffed. “I am immortal and… um, millennials old-?”
“Then why are you talking to me?” The boy looked like he was about to explode- sorry, the “God”. I was also about to explode. With laughter. He looked so red he could pass for a blond tomato.
“The “great” god of the south wind had started walking while we spoke and I followed. We didn’t speak until he stopped walking. “What?”
“Shut up. What floor are you on, again?”
“Wait, what?” We were standing in front of my apartment building and Notos looked annoyed to say the least.
“I can’t follow you in, so I’ll fly up to your window. Open it and wait.”
“No.” Notos grew red again and glared at me. I looked at him blankly before sighing, registering that he wouldn’t leave me alone until I did as he asked. With any luck, this was a normal dude in clothes that didn’t look like they were meant for him and wasn’t giving off a powerful aura. And that I was just imagining his eyes had been the same yellow as the Kite’s for a moment. “Fine.”
