Selenes POV
I walk out of my office to go to the front office to make copies since I forgot to ask for one. But it’s fine I like walking the school sometimes. I walk pass the gym but see students running up and down the gym floor looking like they’re going to pass out from all the sweat dropping from their bodies.
I hear the sound of a whistle and the kids stop running and Jordyn coming into my view talking to one of the students and making them rerun that lap and then send the rest to continue after the get back. What the fuck is she doing?!
I walk down there with my hair flowing back in my white one shoulder jump suit and white heels clicking and clacking as I walk on to the court. As the students see me walking up, they stop running and wide eye Jordyn. “Who told you to stop running?!” She yells and I’ve never heard her yell at them before.
I grab her by her hood and turn her around. “Are you out of your damn mind?” I ask her as she snatched away from me and rolls her eyes.
“Are you here to take one of my students for one of your sessions, Doctor Kaci?” She asks sarcastically and with attitude.
My brows furrow. “Your office, now!” I grit through my teeth and she scoffs but starts walking . “All of you hit the showers before you have to leave to go home.” I tell the seniors who are laying on the cold gym floor to catch their breaths.
“Thank you Dr. Kaci.” They say in unison and head to the locker rooms.
I walk to her office and shut the door and lock it and shut the blinds. She’s sitting in her desk chair and her jaw is clenched as she looks at the desk. “What the hell is your problem?!” I yell.
She looks at me and her eyes narrowed. “My problem? You’re the one who disturbed my class.” She points outside the door.
“Class? You mean boot camp! Those kids were a lap away from passing out and then what? Would you finally get your attitude out your damn system?” I say.
She’s stands up and her height against me intimidates me but I don’t show it. “The only reason I have an attitude, is because you see me as a bad person who would do something like that to you.”
“So you show you’re a bad person by letting your anger out on them.” I say pointing my hand towards outside. “This,” I point between us, “has nothing to do with them. Ok, it’s my fault. My insecurities got the best of me. Like look at you Jordyn.” I say frustrated.
She eyes me confused. “What about me?”
“Ugh you’re perfect. Your hair and curl pattern is perfect and it falls perfectly no matter if you just wake up or not. Your attitude is always so positive and that smile god, you’re smile makes me melt and happy inside especially when I’m the reason. How well mannered you are, I mean damn you drove a girl all the way to work just because she needed help and I doubt she even asked for it. You’re a so observant of me and remember so much from 5 years ago that I don’t even remember most of the time.” I walk up to her and cup her cheeks and look her directly in the eyes that still look at me with adoration with a hint agitation. “You Jordyn, are perfect and I was scared that I wasn’t enough for you.” I admit and I look down.
She lifts my head by my chin. “You are way more than enough for me. You are all I ever wanted for the last 5 years of my life Selene. And now that I have you, no matter what in my way, I’m not letting you go.” She says and leans down to kiss me softly. I wrap my arms around her neck and wrap hers around my waist keeping me close. “You are so sexy when you’re mad.” She says against my lips and I laugh.
“You are too quite honestly. But seriously I’m sorry for leaving you high and dry yesterday. I should’ve just talked to you.” I say playing with her whistle in replace of her chain.
“I forgive you. But please if something is bothering you about us, just tell me. Ok?” I nod and we kiss again.
I pull away. “Now, go apologize.” I say opening the office door. She throws her head down and walks pass me to the gym floor.
“Look guys!” She yells out getting the seniors attention. I stand next to her. “I just want to apologize for today. I was having a rough day and I stupidly and regrettably took it out on you guys. So I’m sorry. I know you guys look up to me and see me as your friend sometimes and that I am but I’m human and I make mistakes but it won’t happen again.” She says.
Mason walks up to her and hugs her. “Sorry you had a bad day coach. We all get em.” He says and looks to me. “Could we please try to limit the fighting on school days, my quads are killing me and I have basketball practice tomorrow.” He says and my eyes go wide.
“Sure Mason. Sorry about that.” I say and he winks and then the bell rings for the seniors to leave. I turn to Jordyn. “I think the students know about us.” I say.
She smiles. “I think it’s pretty obvious even with the staff. We don’t really try to hide it you know.” She says with a smirk.
“Thats true. But see you after school?” I say in hopes I can make it up to her today.
She nods and smiles. “Can’t wait.” She says and kisses me softly.
3:30 pm
I finish answering emails and then lock up my office. I see the weight room light on and I smile knowing I’m bout to see her. I was so stupid for letting my insecurities get to me. Jordyn has done nothing but show me just how she cares for me. I get to the weight room and watch as she’s finishes her last set on the pull up bars. Sweat drips all the way down from her head to her legs and her hair is hiding her face from her curls falling. “Hey baby.” I say making my presence known.
She drops from the bar and turns to smile at me. That beautiful gorgeous smile. “Well hey, I was getting worried you stood me up again.” She jokes but my smile drops.
“I said I was sorry Jordyn.” I pout.
She walks up with her bag over her shoulder and shirt over the other. She’s just in her sports bra and sweatpants. “Hey I’m sorry too soon.” She hugs me and even though she’s very sweaty I don’t pull away. “Come on.” And we head out to our cars.
She opens mine as always but kisses me goodbye this time. “See you tomorrow?” I say.
“Of course. I’ll text you when I get home though.” She says and I smile and nod. I drive off to my apartment.
I walk in and hear the tv on. “Rina?” I call out.
I see her on the couch but I see another head with blonde hair.
“Oh hey. Selene meet my RNA Morgan, Morgan meet my best friend Selene.” Zarina says as they turn around and my eyes go wide at the girl who I’ve come to know as Jordyn’s cheating ex.
I shake out of my thoughts and shake her hand to not be rude. I plaster on a smile. “Hi it’s nice to meet you. What are you guys doing?” I ask trying to understand what in the fuck is going on.
“I wanted to get to know Morgan more since we work so close together so I invited her over. Sorry I honestly thought you’d be over Jordyn’s to make up for ditching her yesterday.” Sge said and I stopped breathing when she mentioned Jordyn.
“Haha right. Well I’m not, I’m here.” I say with a fake smile.
“I thought you said she forgave you?” She says still not reading the room.
I sigh. “She did Rina. Just wasn’t feeling not sleeping in my bed.” I grit through my teeth. “But look I’m tired so I’m going to go lay down. You guys enjoy your time. It was nice meeting you Morgan.”
“Yeah you too Selene.” She says and they return to what they were doing.

I open the link and Jason’s stream pops up and I see him and Jordyn playing MK 1 the new story line.
Me: Morgan is here in my living room.
I go back to the stream and she smiles at the notification but her smile fades when she reads it. She shows Jason. “What the fu-dge nuggets.” He plays off. “We have a family emergency so we’ve gotta go guys. Send your hearts and prayers. Peace.” He says and the streams ends and I’m getting a call from Jordyn.
“Yeah.” I answer.
“Why is she there? I didn’t even know you guys knew each other.” She says immediately getting on the phone.
“We don’t. Zarina and her work together and wanted to get to know each other.” I explain.
“Wait, your friend is the head surgeon that Morgan has been working with?” Jason says.
“Yes apparently. I’m guessing she’s mentioned it to you.”
“To me yes. Jordyn and her don’t talk anymore since Jordyn ended things.” Jason says solemn.
“Thanks for that take Jase. But there’s nothing to worry about baby. She’s aware that we’re seeing each other from Jason’s last stream I’m just not sure if she’s aware that you know who she is.” She says.
“Do I make that known? I don’t want it to seem like it’s one sided knowledge.” I say.
“That’s completely up to you babe. Uh hold up she’s calling now, is she still there?”
I take a peak out my bedroom door and don’t see her or Zarina. “I think they left.”
“Yo what up M?” Jason answers his phone. “Oh yeah I’m with Jordyn. Uh yeah here.” He hands the phone off and now she has me and her in both ears.
“Hey Morgs what’s up?” She answers. Morgs? “Yeah I’m home. I don’t know if that’s a good idea. Because you said you needed time to get over us.” She sighs. “Just to talk right? Ok. Yeah see you soon.” Really?
“Why are you seeing her soon?” Jason says.
“My thoughts exactly.” I say through the phone confused on the conversation.
“She said she wants to come over and talk with both of us. So it won’t just be her and I alone baby.” She says to me.
I roll my eyes. “Yeah whatever. You couldve said no Jordyn.”
“Selene,” the sound of the door closing says she walked out, “I told you, you have nothing to be jealous of. Not even her. We’re done but she is still my best friend and I don’t want her completely out of my life just because we didn’t work out romantically. Trust me.” She says and those two words make me freeze.
Do I trust her? Can I trust her? Should I trust her? “I uh- I don’t know if I can Jordyn.” I say honestly.
She sighs. “Baby,” the sound of knocking interrupts her, “just try. I gotta go but I’ll text you.” She says and I say ok and we hang up.
She didn’t reassure me. Is the only thought I was left with. The front door shut and I walked out to see Zarina washing dishes. “Hey Rina.”
She looks up at the sound of my voice. “Hey, you ok?” She asks.
“Um not really. My insecurities are showing again and I really don’t want to mess this up Ri.” I admit.
She turns to me and looks at me curiously. “Well what’s going on now?”
I start playing with my fingers. “Morgan, the girl who was just here, is Jordyn’s ex. The one I told you she broke things off with.” I sat nervously.
Her mouth opens. “She’s the one that cheated on her?” I nod. “Well shit, she was cool. I guess I have to keep it professional.”
I shake my head. “No, you don’t have to stop being cool with her Rina. I’m sure what she did was a mistake, I mean Jordyn is still friends with her.” I let out and shrug.
Her eyes narrow at me. “Excuse me?” She asks.
“What?”
She steps closer to me. “Jordyn is still friends with her, after she cheated on her?”
I nod. “They’ve been best friends since they were kids Rina. That’s why I’m telling you my insecurities are showing. She’s over there now.” I say lowly.
“Over where?”
“At Jordyn’s place.” I shrug. “Jordyn said she just wanted to talk but she’s aware of her and Is relationship so her going over there after meeting me, it’s weird.” I say and run my hand through my hair.
Zarina starts grabbing her keys and putting in her house shoes. “Let’s go.”
I look at her confused. “Go where?”
“Jordyn’s house duh.”
I shake my head and grab her keys. “No Zarina. I have to trust her. She asked me to trust her and as paranoid as I am, I want to.”
“Your potential girlfriend is at home right now with her ex girlfriend and you are just ok?”
“Ok? No, not at all. But I don’t want to stress out over this.”
She rolls her eyes and huffs. “Ok. It’s your decision. Let’s watch a movie and get drunk.” She says.
“It’s a school night.”
She groans. “Oh my god! Fine I’ll get drunk and you take care of me.” She offers getting out a bottle of wine.
I roll my eyes. “I always end up taking care of you.”
“Good then you’ll do a great job.” She says and we go to the living room to watch movies.
