I didn’t expect the place to look the way it does. I knew it was kind of underground but that’s also all I knew. We drove pretty far until we found a place to park the car. Mat knew the way, he always does.
We followed a road amongst the woods. As it got darker and darker, the music started sounding louder and louder. Suddenly behind the woods there seems to be some kind of old warehouse peeking out.
The two men standing outside gave Mat and I a weird, almost disapproving look but still let us in anyway with no issues.
The music’s loud as it usually is at these kinds of parties. I can feel the heat rising to my face, as everyone is dancing and jumping around, my heart beating in the same rhythm at the base.
Why am I here? I don’t even know how to answer that myself. I’ve never had an interest in people or alcohol nonetheless lovers and people having sex wherever whenever. Yet somehow I ended being exactly that kind of person.
I follow Mat through the main party place in the warehouse. He pulls up a beer from his bag and hands it to me as he finds a couch to sit on. The couch didn’t look very sanitary but fuck it, im here to live life to the fullest and if that means getting some sex disease from a dirty couch at a warehouse party then fuck it, let it be!… what an interesting story to tell my kids.
Mat is pretty popular around women. Don’t ask me why because I have no clue what kind of magic he has in his balls but these women keep swimming in our direction as if we were more cheap alcohol for them to consume.
I don’t really enjoy women that much. People who know me assume that I’m some kind of player although that’s far from the truth. I wanna be able to enjoy the company of someone in both a sexual, romantic and physical way but without any strings attached. Just for one night.
I can do that with women, men too. But I would much rather spend my night getting intimate with a boy. Just preference I guess.
But being with a man like Mat doesn’t make my mission of finding another man to talk any easier, being the lady magnet he is.

“Ladies, will you excuse me for a moment while me and my dear friend find some drinks?” Matthew announces while he is trying to make his voice deeper and it’s very noticeable but somehow that works for him. These women must have been drinking way too much before we got here.
Mat and I already finished the 6 pack of beers we had brought with us and decided to go look for some more. It’s only been a few hours and I don’t even know what the time is but the warehouse is getting more and more crowded as we make our way to a sketchy looking bar.
“Two beers, thank you!” Matthew says, still making his voice deeper. This guy is unbelievable.
“And can you send some drinks their way?” Matthew says pointing at the girls over at the couch where we were sitting before. Mat just got paid and I’m starting to realize why he never has any money by the end of the month.
I look around the room, I like to be aware of my surroundings and analyze the people here. Some people I’ve seen before in music class at school. It’s pretty rare you see music students at parties. I also see other people who look familiar but probably because they go to my school but in another major.
I looked around some more trying to figure out what to do from here when someone caught my eye.
“Damn…” is all Matthew lets out and I realize he noticed the same guy too. He is around my height with dark, almost black hair. He has a brown sweater on and baggy blue jeans, a fairly attractive guy.
As soon as he entered the room he had caught all the girls’ attention. From what I can tell he’s a little shy but it seems to be why he’s so charming… I feel weirdly drawn to him.
“Do you know him?” I asked Matthew, who is still standing next to me at the bar.
He shakes his head. “Nope, I’ve actually never seen him before.” After hearing Mat say that I got quite intrigued.
I take my beer and lean up against a wall near the bar still peeking over at the handsome boy who appeared at the party out of nowhere.
“He is very much your type isn’t he?” Matthew grins slightly as he leans next to me on the wall.
“I guess he’s alright.” I roll my eyes at Mats assumption.
“Alright? Samuel, I can tell by your glance that you would do anything for that boy as long as he asks you to.” Mat is overreacting a bit. I’m not one for relationships but I can’t lie, he is quite mesmerizing.
“Shut up…” I rolled my eyes at him. “is it obvious?” I look over at Mat whose face is still stuck on that weird grin of his.
“Come on Samuel! Just take your chance before anyone else does.”
Matthew is right, not only the girls but the boys too are surrounding the boy at this very moment… what am I thinking, I can’t just walk up to him. I sigh, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement.
“I don’t know Mat… I don’t even know if he’s gay.” After saying that, Matthew gave me a different type of smile, an encouraging one actually.
“Well you won’t know before you try!” Matthew looks over at the boy again. “Besides I’ve been noticing him glancing in our direction too.” Matthew continues.
I realized the boy was looking over at us but I thought it was all in my head, that I was just hoping he would look over in my direction.
Could he actually be interested? I let out a chuckle and downed my beer.
“Alright, alright… I’ll go talk to him” I say out loud not knowing if i actually can do it.
“That’s the spirit! You’ve got this” Mat gives me a tap on the shoulder pushing me away from the wall.
I take a deep breath slowly walking away from Matthew.
“Wish me luck!” I turned around quickly to say, then after continued walking away.
“Trust me you won’t need it” I hear Mat saying in the distance.
I lost him… how? I looked away for a second. If I had to take a guess then all the girls surrounding him probably kidnapped him somewhere. I already told myself I would go talk to him and I won’t back down so I’ll continue walking around till I find him, it’s a little hard though considering how many people are at this party right now.
As I walked into another room I was about to give up so I took a sip of my beer considering what to do next when suddenly someone bumps into me and I almost dropped my beer. So fucking typical, people have no respect for their surroundings.
When I look up I see a boy grinning awkwardly. This was not just any boy though. It’s the boy from earlier. All the anger I had in my body before disappeared as soon as I realized how damn handsome he is close up. We’re basically the same height which gave me an opportunity to look into his surprisingly beautiful eyes. I was about to open my mouth when he beat me to it.
“Hi there, handsome.” As he said that he let out the cutest smile I’ve ever seen. He leaned his head a bit sideways as well and I felt my heart drop at that very moment.
Hiding my shyness from the clearly drunk boy in front of me I raise an eyebrow in amusement.
“Having a good time..?” Really Samuel! That’s all you could get out? Having a good time? Normally I’m better at these kinds of things.
“I’m having a great time! Especially now that I’ve found you.” This boy has no filter… either that or he is just way too drunk to care.
I can feel my face getting red. Come on Samuel you’ve got this. Think of something to say that’ll impress him.
“You caught my eye as soon as you walked through the door.” I let out a smirk making sure I show confidence but at the end of the day I think this boy is too drunk to even realize what face I’m making.
“You look like you have that type of effect on people.” I continued.
“I definitely do.” He said, leaning closer to my ear, slightly whispering, before continuing.
“So what’s your name, handsome stranger?” He asked. This boy never stops smiling. This doesn’t feel healthy.
“Samuel, you?” I try sounding casual and I lean back a little.
The boy put his hand out for me to shake. “Eliot, but you can call me, the boy who you’ll never forget about after tonight.” Eliot says, not failing to make me flustered.
“Oh yeah? I could really use an unforgettable night.” I tell him and for a slight moment I could see a bit of shyness showing up on his face as well.
“Then be prepared to be entertained.” He laughs slightly, awkwardly, but it didn’t feel awkward it just felt… cute?
“I’ll be looking forward to it.” I tell Eliot while taking another sip of my beer.
“Hey Samuel, can I tell you a secret?” Eliot Said with a sudden serious expression on his face. I get quite curious.
“Sure, what’s up?” Eliot leans very close to my face. Maybe a little too close for comfort.
“I think…” Eliot leans even closer than before, our faces only millimeters apart.
“I think I’m a little drunk.” Eliot’s face flashes with the brightest smile and he leans back away from my face.
“Just a little bit huh?” I raised one of my eyebrows and started to laugh.
“But don’t worry, I’m fun drunk.” He grins widely. I can’t even lie, it makes my heart beat so damn fast.
“I can see that.” I say, giving him a smirk.
“Hey Samuel? Can I tell you another secret?” Eliot’s expression went from fun to serious yet again.
“Sure, what now?” I laugh slightly at this sweet boy in front of me.
“I think you’re really cute” Eliot whispers loudly, this time his facial expression is still quite serious.
I take a moment to build up my confidence.
“You’re not too bad yourself” I say slightly shocked at the confidence of the now flustered boy.
He nudged my shoulder a bit. “You think so?” When Eliot finally took in what I said his face beamed with happiness. He is clearly not used to flirting with people while drunk from what I can see.
“Definitely” I nodded.
Eliot puts his hand on my shoulder.
“Well Samuel. Prepare for a long night” He said, catching me a little off guard. Was he referring to… no, no, I’m probably misunderstanding… it’s the first time tonight that Eliot showed this type of confidence. He managed to go from cute to sexy within seconds.
“I’m looking forward to it” I give him a smirk playing along with his game.
