Another Friday means another party. At least if your name is Samuel rogers.
It’s normally the same rutine at every party I attend to.
Get there, get drunk, get home. Of course there’s the occasional hookups here and there but lately I’ve not been wanting to deal with any type of hook ups, especially since Eliot came around.
How does someone pull off being a curse and a blessing so well…
Todays party was gonna be in a different routine for me though. Matthew managed to get the house all to himself this weekend, mostly because he wants to party but also for my sake.
Now hold my hand while I explain this because it really isn’t as complicated as I make it out to be.
I don’t want anything to do with Eliot. Like nothing at all! I can’t deny my obvious attraction to him, but I’ve tried this a few times before and every time I’ve gotten too attached to someone, they find, either someone else or, find some outrages messed up excuse to leave me.
That’s not particularly something I’ve been wanting to reenact again any time soon. Especially not with someone like Eliot.Â
But… I did kind of ask Mat to have a party so he could invite Marco.
Like I said before, I don’t wanna take any chances with Eliot but if he gotta be out here playing two people at the same time then for my own confidence sake I would like to know who he is or, at least know what Marco looks like.
Matthew also invited Eliot hoping there would be a chance of my catching them in the act.
Gosh, I sound like an insane teenage girl in love… and trust me I know how they act. I’ve dealt with far too many of those.
Technically it wouldn’t be wrong of Eliot to be with someone other than me. It’s not like I own him. If I did then I wouldn’t let him anywhere out of my sight, especially with a face like his.
I didn’t wanna be there before Marco, of course I couldn’t choose that but I decided to come at least an hour later than the party initially was planned to begin.
I was making my way to the party and only a few houses away from Matthew’s house, the music was already loud enough for me to hear. He had definitely overdone himself this time.
The house was filled to the brim with all different kinds of people. Most of them I knew by name and others I had at least seen before.
I parked my car a bit further away from Matthew’s house since there wasn’t any way I would be able to park my car in his driveway. Even if I could, I wouldn’t dare.
Drunk people and cars don’t tend to work together very well.
In his driveway there was three girls, two of them holding another girls hair while she puked all over one of the girls feet. “You bitch, you hit my fucking shoe!” I heard one of the girls holding the hair say.
She stormed out of the place leaving the other two, barely able to stand on their own feet.
I laughed to myself trying not to catch eye contact with them and made my way inside Matthew’s house.
When I came in, my suspicion of the house being filled to the brim with crusty drunk teens, was quickly confirmed. How I would find Matthew here was going to be the real challenge.
I started out by looking for him inside. First the bathroom, then his bedroom and when he was none of those places I decided to do the last thing I could bother to do… ask the drunk people on the “dance floor.” Also known as Matthew’s parent’s dinning room.
I pushed my way through the crowded space, some people dancing and others trying to dance but in reality it’s just them rubbing their bodies against each other.
I kept pushing through, asking each and everyone if they had seen Matthew.
I felt like a helpless child. Me being shorter than average wasn’t making it any easier.
THERE HE IS! I was about to tell out loud but quickly stopped myself when I noticed how embarrassing that would’ve been.
I spotted him talking to a girl as he was dancing. How he doesn’t get embarrassed is still a surprise to me. He looks like he sprained an ankle judging by the way his footwork looks.
I walked over to him and tapped his shoulder, fighting to urge to not comment on his insanely corrupted dance moves.
When he opened his mouth the smell of beer was wreaking out, almost making me barf. “What’s up Sam?!” He yelled over to loud music.
He must’ve forgotten about the whole Marco plan, or then it’s his alcohol consumption playing tricks on him. The last one seems more like Matthew to be honest.
I gave him a look of pure annoyance. “Have you seen Marco?!” I asked him, also trying to overcome the loud sounds around us. To my surprise, it worked.
He quickly looked around, still moving his body to the music. “I actually haven’t!” He replied, taking a break to breathe. “But your hubby is here!” He yelled a little too loud.
I didn’t say anything. I just nodded and made my way out of the crowded room.
Eliot is here? Maybe if I find him then I’ll find Marco. New side quest unlocked, find Eliot who will lead to Marco… hopefully.
Back I went to search Matthew’s house with no clues. My dumbass immediately went looking for Eliot without even asking Matthew where he had seen him. What a cliche I am.
All I could see inside was people who don’t I don’t intent to have any sort of interaction with. They don’t interest me in any way. It could also just be that my mind was locked on finding Eliot.
After a long hard search inside, I went out instead. To be fair I only really looked inside for two minutes then gave up… looking around might also be overestimating. I got a beer then turned my head to look around to room and then went outside.
I can’t even express how good it feels when I’ve just been inside during a stinky party with people everywhere, then go outside to get some fresh air. Only thing that could make this better would be completing my quest of finding Eliot.
I took a good look inhale of the nice air as I looked around at the people who are out here, most of them are smoking cigarettes and others are out here to get some air, like me.
I hear lots of people talking and kept listening in on the different conversations of the drunk or stoned people.
Suddenly a familiar voice was heard from around the corner. I walked towards it to try and listen In clearer. I’m almost certain it’s Eliot but I can’t make out who he is talking to.
“I don’t need you to take care of me anymore okay?” I heard Eliot say making me slightly more intrigued.
“That’s not what I’m trying to do-” another voice chimed in.
“Well that’s what it seems like.”
I wonder what’s going on… I tried to just stay back and listen but part of me got a little too interested in what was going on and the only thing I wanted was to just get a little peak of what was happening on that side of wall.
I couldn’t stand it anymore, I had to go out there and take a look at what’s going on. A part of me was worried that Eliot was in trouble or maybe even something worse.
When I turned around I saw a boy with dark hair. He was around same height as Eliot.
He was ruffling Eliots hair. “Sorry Eli, I promise I didn’t come here to ruin it for you. I only came to have fun.” The boy then says with a chuckle following.
Eliot was smiling? He seemed mad only a second ago? Who the fuck is this guy and why do I feel like I’ve never seen him before.
I just stood there staring at them, part of me hoping that Eliot would look my way and see that I saw it all. I was hoping he would at least feel some type of guilt after trying so hard to persuade me, just to get involved with another.
Like I’ve said before, I know Eliot isn’t mine. It’s almost the exact opposite. I never wanted him to be mine and this is exactly the reason why.
I just couldn’t believe it… I felt jealous…
