A/N: THIS IS LITERALLY MY FAVORITE SANEGIYUU PICTURE OMFG.. 💀 LIKE OUT OF THE MILLION I HAVE THIS IS MY FAV-
Okay now let me try my hand at that one, like, ‘fake relationship’ kind of fanfic now :3
“Get the fuck away from me,” Sanemi growled, pushing the girl away. This stupid demon slayer kept tailing him everywhere and now she was asking WAY too personal questions.Â
“Please!! I promise I’ll do whatever for you!! I can be your first everything,” she giggled, pushing herself onto his body. (this stupid pedo who I dated for like a month or so (i really don’t give a fuck-) told me that he could be my ‘first everything’ 😶 Like i was so nervous and scared but at least it was all online ✨)Â
Sanemi sighed heavily. “Look, I don’t like you!!” he groaned.
“Oh? But I’m sure you will tonight~” she said quietly, trying to latch her mouth onto his.Â
“Fuck off!!” Sanemi said, pushing her away from him.
“Why?? It’s not like you’re already dating someone?” she said, crossing her arms.Â
Before Sanemi could respond, Giyuu passed by. Sanemi thought of something quickly and grabbed the Hashira’s arm. He leaned over, away from the girl, and whispered, “You will fucking go along with what I say and do or I’ll make sure Kocho fucking ruins your life.”
Giyuu, startled by this, nodded slowly and nervously before backing up to stand next to Sanemi.
“Actually, I am!” Sanemi snapped, glaring at the girl.
“What? Who?” she hissed, glaring at Giyuu.Â
Sanemi’s whispering to Giyuu had been rather fast so she’d only seen it as though he’d leaned a little too far as he went to grab Giyuu. “Him,” Sanemi declared, swinging his arm over Giyuu’s shoulder. “He is my boyfriend.”
Both Giyuu and the girl looked surprised. But the demon slayer took that as her advantage and pointed at Giyuu. “Look! He’s surprised, he’s obviously not!!”
Sanemi gave Giyuu a sharp nudge whom cleared his throat and said quietly, as if only talking to Sanemi but loud enough for the girl to hear, “Shi-.. Sanemi, I thought we were keeping this a secret..!”
The girl was irritated at that. “You two are NOT dating!!”
“Oh we fucking are!” Sanemi snapped. Giyuu agreed.
“Then.. then prove it!!” she said, suddenly feeling as if she had the upperhand.
The two Hashira looked at each other, a quick glance of mutual dread passing between the two. “Fine,” Sanemi muttered. He grabbed Giyuu by the shoulders and kissed him almost forcefully. Giyuu was quick to kiss back though, and to add a touch to make it look more realistic, he wrapped his arms around Sanemi’s neck. They stayed in this lip-lock for about 30 seconds before pulling away, both looking a little flushed for some reason.
The girl was furious. “You.. I.. Just.. just dump him and leave him for me!!”
Giyuu pinched himself and then looked at Sanemi, putting on a quick look of devestatement. “No..! Don’t, Sanemi, you wouldn’t!!” he cried out, digging his fingernails into his palm until tears rolled down his cheeks.
Sanemi flinched, surprised at this act. He hadn’t known what a good actor Giyuu was. “I.. No, no, I won’t leave To- Giyuu!! I’m staying with him and you.. ah.. you little fucking slut can go find someone else to torment. Maybe Uzui would like this,” he said. He knew Tengen would be able to handle this, and he knew because he had seen the amount of times Tengen had been able to get rid of random creeps who had picked on Mitsuri, and some of the other Hashira.
Giyuu latched onto Sanemi like a clingy dog and then glared, teary-eyed at the girl who glared back.Â
“I’ll be fucking watching until you two break up,” she gritted out, stomping away.Â
Once she was completely out of ear-shot, Sanemi turned to Giyuu and pushed him away. “Well now we have to fucking ‘date’ for a while until she’s dead,” he groaned.Â
Giyuu shrugged and wiped away the fake tears he’d managed. “Are you going to kill her or are you going to send her on a dangerous mission?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Neither, she looks too weak. She’ll die soon enough,” Sanemi said, grinning coyly.
Giyuu nodded. “Okay. Why do I have to pretend, though?”
“Idiot, because you were right there!!” Sanemi said.
“No, like, couldn’t you easily get her away?” Giyuu clarified.
“She was too persistant. And she tried to touch me anyways so,” Sanemi sighed. “By the way, you’re a terrible kisser.”
Giyuu jolted and looked up but Sanemi was already gone. Was he? He hadn’t known. Well.. if he was being honest.. Sanemi was a.. an okay one. Yes. JUST okay. Not that it meant anything.
____
The girl kept her word. She constantly stalked Sanemi and Giyuu to the point that they had to act as though they were dating in front of the Hashira as well. The others didn’t know that this was fake, though some had their suspicions. Turns out Giyuu was extremely good at pretending and acting so Sanemi didn’t have to do as much.
One instance the girl almost tried killing Giyuu, who this time his shock had been real and not just an act. She had thrown her katana and a katana of somebody else’s whose she stole, at Giyuu. One at his heart and one at his legs. She’s thrown it rather cleverly and at a time Giyuu had least expected it, so he only barely dodged it given the way she’d thrown them. He had had to duck and spread his legs apart at the same time, and the girl had run off, furious.Â
Giyuu, deciding this fake relationship would be the perfect excuse to get a little comfort, had run to Sanemi in tears that were fake and had explained everything.Â
“Sanemi! Sanemi!” Giyuu had cried out, running into the Hashira’s arms.
“What the fuck, Giyuu? Is she even here?” Sanemi said, his voice lowering at the last sentence. The two had gotten used to calling each other by their first names.
Giyuu shook his head then said, “No, but she tried killing me this time!!”
“What?!” Sanemi growled, his anger as real as himself (non existent then). He hadn’t realized she would go that far. “What do you mean?”
“She.. she ah..” Giyuu wiped away the tears he had faked while running away and continued. “She was behind me and threw two katana’s at me..”Â
Sanemi sighed, exhasperated, and patted Giyuu in an almost caring manner. “God fucking damn I’m going to kill her.”
Giyuu shook his head. “Don’t, Oyakata-sama will get mad at you.”
Sanemi sighed again. “Yes, I know.” He’d hugged Giyuu in a way that seemed almost real. Almost. Not quite. “I should stop getting you in so much trouble.”
“It’s okay,” Giyuu said. “Quite entertaining.”
“Then why do you always run to me in tears? Even if fake?”
“If I fake vulnerability, she’s more likely to not try as hard,” Giyuu explained.
“Ah. Right,” Sanemi said.
“Okay, I must be off now. I have a mission down further north. I’ll see you tomorrow, I suppose?” the ravenette said.
“Mhm. Stay safe,” Sanemi had said.Â
‘Stay safe.’ Those words, or literally any that could mean a little bit of caring in them, those were only for when people were around. Why had Sanemi said them if they were completely alone?
___
Giyuu found himself getting attached to Sanemi. He wished he wouldn’t because this was all fake, but those night.. the nights they cuddled under a tree.. Sanemi running his fingers through Giyuu’s hair.. Those comforting times were always so worth it, even if it was because they just didn’t want to risk being caught fighting by the girl who practically stalked them 24/7. Giyuu couldn’t help but stare at Sanemi in a way he shouldn’t. In.. in a daze of love. He couldn’t.. shouldn’t.. be doing this.. Feeling this way… It wasn’t right… And yet he loved it. Loved it so much.
Sanemi poked Giyuu to get his attention. “Hey, we’re finally alone for a little. Maybe she’ll die today? She has a mission up in the mountains.”
“Oh?”Â
“Yes. I’ll go now,” Sanemi said.
Giyuu watched him longingly as he left and sighed helplessly. Oh what he would wish for this to be real..
___
As it turns out, the mountain the girl had been assigned to go on was one holding one of the 12 kizuki. Lower 5. Not that strong, but enough to wipe out a lot of minor demon slayers. Giyuu and Shinobu had gone to save the ones still alive. From what he knew, the girl hadn’t lived to see the demon killed.
That night, Giyuu informed Sanemi of it. He hadn’t wanted to, though. This.. this fake relationship was something Giyuu wanted to be real—not that it ever would be.. But he knew Sanemi probably wanted to stop so he decided to say, against his own wants.
“Sanemi. Uhm.. Shinazugawa,” Giyuu mumbled, taking Sanemi’s hand.
Sanemi instinctively closed his hand around Giyuu’s and looked up. “Hm?”
“She.. the girl is dead now. She died in her mission,” Giyuu said quietly.Â
“Really?” Sanemi’s eyes brightened. He grinned. “Finally!!”
Giyuu nodded. “Yes.. and now.. now you.. I mean we. We can stop this ‘relationship’ now,” he continued.
“Right. Yes, well end it now,” Sanemi said, his voice still cheerful. Then Giyuu noticed that their hands remained interlocked. He went to pull away, run away before these tears, very much real, welled out. Sanemi wouldn’t let him. He held tightly onto Giyuu’s hand and said, “we can end this but start it again.”
“Huh? Is there someone else bothering you?” Giyuu asked.
“Uh.. as a matter of fact, yes!” Sanemi informed him.
“Oh no, who is it now?” the ravenette said, though he felt hopeful.
“You.”
“W..what?” Giyuu mumbled. “Was I being too pushy while faking this? Or..?”
“No, nothing like that,” Sanemi said, quickly realizing he shouldn’t have phrased it like this. “It’s just.. you annoy me. You’re constantly on my mind, and when I see you my temperature goes up. My mind goes wild about you and I can’t seem to stop thinking about everything about you. It’s fucking annoying. And the most annoying part is how much I want you. Want, want, want, so let me have you and maybe you’ll stop bothering me.”
Giyuu stared at Sanemi, dumbfounded. “You.. I.. As in.. What..?” he mumbled, his poor mind spinning circles.
“Oh, for fucks sake! Giyuu, will you date me? Actually date me?” Sanemi clarified.
“I.. Yes.. Yes.. Yes!! I will!!” Giyuu cried out, the tears suddenly pouring down his cheeks. “Yes!”
Sanemi froze. “Wait.”
Giyuu froze as well. “What?”
“Giyuu.. are you smiling??” Sanemi asked, his hand reaching up involuntarily to touch Giyuu’s cheek. “You smiled!”
Giyuu turned red and hugged Sanemi in embarrassment. “No I didn’t!”
“You did! It was great! Do it again!”Â
“No!! I didn’t!! I won’t!!”Â
“Yes you will!”
“Nuh uh!”
“Yess!! Let me see!!”
“No!”
“Yes!”
“No!”
“Yes!Â
“Fine..”
“Ye- Wait? YES!!” Sanemi laughed, hugging Giyuu. He held him arms-length apart and said, “smile for me!”
Giyuu averted his eyes but he smiled despite himself and flushed slightly.
Sanemi’s eyes brightened with Giyuu’s face and he said, “I’m so glad this is real. I’ve been waiting for forever..”
