Eunchae

“Bye Manchae! And remember, don’t go near that wannabe fashionista!”, Wooyoung smiled at me when I stepped out of his car.

“Don’t worry, I won’t!”, I waved him off and turned around, heading towards the entrance of Köcher High.

Skipping up the stairs, I thought about the red card game once again, hoping that they would leave Gorya alone after the day before, even though the possibility of that happening wasn’t very high. Her kicking the leader of F4 seemed mesmerizing to some of the students, but rather disrespectful and not acceptable to most of them.

I hadn’t talked to Thyme or any of the other F4 members since the incident in the cafeteria, listening to what my brothers had said. Their true personalities showed after the whole spaghetti incident and ever since that, I didn’t see them the same way as before.

I was pulled out of my train of thoughts as soon as I arrived at the locker area, whispering being heard and students stared at me, watching every single one of my moves. I tried to brush it off and proceeded to open my locker, taking out the things I needed for the next lessons, Chaewon nowhere in sight.

There were only a few students lingering around, but as soon as I closed my locker again and looked around, I noticed some of them were even approaching me. Two boys came to a halt in front of me, making me frown but muster them.

“Hello?”, I asked as they observed every single detail of me, making me gulp.

My heartbeat increased when one of them took a step forward, a smirk lingering on his lips.

“That’s her. Let’s take her to the stadium too, I’m sure Thyme will be pleased when seeing her.”, the male chuckled and grabbed my wrist, making my face grow pale.

“Hey! Let go of me!”, I tried to free myself from his grip but with no success. It only ended up hurting more as he dragged me towards the back of the school, the other students following us.

Why were they taking me to the stadium and who was the other person already being there?

My heart skipped a beat when thinking of the only two options possible, yet neither of them calming me down. Gorya or Chaewon. Who else would they talk about in relation to me?

“Stop struggling so much!”, the boy grabbed my other wrist too, forcefully continuing to drag me along.

I had a hard time keeping up with his pace and still tried my best to free myself from his hold on me, tears welling up in my eyes. Why were they doing this if I didn’t even receive a red card?

Cheers filled my ears as we entered the old stadium, already feeling my breathing getting a bit out of control and having to cough from time to time. My heart skipped a beat once again when seeing the scene in front of me.

“Chaewon!”, I yelled and was about to run towards my best friend as soon as spotting her in the middle, some male students standing in front of her. I was pulled back by the male who held a grip on me, pulling me closer to him.

My best friend turned around at my scream, her eyes widening when seeing me.

I hissed when the boy started dragging me towards the group of students.

“Let go of her!”, Chaewon demanded as soon as we came to a halt, anger lacing her voice as I tried my best to fight back tears due to all the pain in my wrists.

“Why?”, one of the boys raised an eyebrow and stepped forward.

My heart skipped a beat when he approached me and started stretching his hand out towards my face. Flinching a little when he put a strand of my hair behind my ear, his chuckles filled the air and sent a shiver down my spine.

“You know it’s really sad that you had to betray F4 like that.”, the male student in front of me continued to muster me before taking a step back again.

“She’s cute, but rules are rules.”, the boy put on a blank face and sent a small nod towards the one who still held a tight grip on me.

A pain filled scream left my throat as my body was pushed forward and instantly collided with the wet yet hard concrete floor. The school uniform of mine immediately soaked itself with the dirty water of the stadium ground, accompanied with some blood, which flowed out of new wounds on my knees.

“Eunchae!”, Chaewons yelling filled my ears as I tried my best to blend out the cheers from all the students watching me getting humiliated.

Tears welled up in my eyes when I wanted to stand up, but was instantly pushed down again. A hiss left my mouth when looking at the crimson colored liquid of the fresh injuries on both my knees mixing with the rain water on the floor. A cough soon followed as I could feel a sting in my chest, making it harder for me to breathe.

My hand wandered to my upper body as I tried my best to control the pain and my breathing, knowing I had no medicals near to help my condition.

A few gasps made me look up, the tears blurring my sight a little yet I could clearly make out my best friend pushing one of the male students to the floor and rushing to my side.

“Eunchae calm down okay? Breathe in…and out…”, her soothing voice could be heard and I felt her hands holding mine as my breath hitched and tears flowed down my cheeks.

I tried my best to follow her instructions, ignoring the throbbing pain in my knees and chest. Shaking my head vigorously when wanting to say something but not being able to, her hands stroked my arms.

“You’re doing great, just continue to slowly breathe in and o-“

My best friend was forcefully pulled away from me, making me panic again, not knowing what to do without her. I tried to scream for her, but no words left my mouth, having neither the strength nor the air to utter something.

My eyes got heavy and I grabbed onto my chest again, rubbing it violently and hoping the throbbing pain would go away, but nothing helped.

The last thing I could make out were yells in the distance and strong arms grabbing my body before darkness engulfed me.
