The girls kept an eye on Jinsoul the next day in case Jinhyuk tried to mess with her again.
Jinsoul told them it wasn’t necessary but they didn’t listen to her.
Jungeun made sure the senior wasn’t in pain whenever they would see each other. Her thoughtfulness made Jinsoul feel all warm in her stomach and would thank the blonde every time.
It quiet in the hallway due to class going on but Yeojin and Hyejoo were walking to the gym. They decided to skip class without Haseul or Yerim knowing.
Entering the gym, Hyejoo ran to sit down on the bleachers. Yeojin just walked since there’s no reason to run.
“Did you bring overcooked?”
The smaller asked as she sat down next to the taller. She nodded her head and pulled out her switch from her bag.
“Yea, I remembered this time” she smiles and turns on the console.
Yeojin grabbed the controller given to her and faces the console. Hyejoo doing the same and they started playing.
It wasn’t till about ten minutes later that the gym doors open.
The girls look up and quickly grab their things to hide. They were hoping it wasn’t a teacher but when they looked at the intruder, they frowned.
Before they can even step down the bleachers to hide, a voice stopped them.
“Well well, look what we have here guys. I didn’t know you losers skip class”
It was Jinhyuk and his buddies. Hyejoo glared at him and clenched her fist. Yeojin just angrily stared at them.
“Leave us alone dickhead” Hyejoo spat back and they walked down the steps.
He chuckles and just shakes his head. Looks like he’s gonna have some fun today.
“I don’t think you should say that. I mean you probably already saw what we did to your friend. She shouldn’t have done the exact same thing you’re doing and if you try to do something, you’ll both end up like her” He threatened the girls and smirked.
His crew were also wearing a smirk. The girls just kept on walking towards the door ignoring him.
Jinhyuk thought he had them scared enough to not say anything but he was wrong. Again.
“You really think we’re scared of you and your crew? I think you should remember that Hyunjin made you her bitch a few months ago”
It was Yeojin who bit back at him. They stopped walking and Hyejoo stared at her friend in shock. Who knew Yeojin would know how to bite back at someone. She’s probably hanging out with Hyunjin too much.
The guys widen their eyes and Jinhyuk clenched his jaw “What the fuck did you just say bitch?” He angrily spit out.
Hyejoo felt something bad was about to happen so without anyone noticing, she quickly texted Hyunjin and Sooyoung to come help them.
“You heard me asshole, why don’t you put your dick back in you pants where it belongs and not in your personality huh?”
Yeojin smirks at his reaction and looks up at Hyejoo. She frowns when she sees the taller frowning and looks back.
He silently chuckles “You shouldn’t have said that because now, you’re going to end up like your friend”
Jinhyuk began to walk up to the freshmen angrily but the sound of a door opening halts him.
“Back the fuck off Jinhyuk! I swear to fucking god if you lay a finger on them, you’re dead!”
Hyunjin can be seen speed walking to their location. Behind her were an angry Sooyoung and Jinsoul. She tagged along to help them.
He scoffed “What do you want Hyunjin? Did these fishies call you to fight me?”
They stood in front of each other and had intense eye contact. Sooyoung and Jinsoul were glaring at the other guys after making sure the girls were alright.
“Look I don’t want to fight but you’re making it real hard to not kick you in the nuts. So I suggest you back off understand?”
Jinhyuk moved his eyes towards the other girls then back to Hyunjin. He smirked and pushed the girl hard that she stumbled back.
Hyunjin was shocked but stood up straight not backing down.
“Nah I don’t think you understand me. I told them to not mess with me and now they are going to end up like her” he points at Jinsoul and gestures for his crew to grab the youngsters.
Sooyoung and Jinsoul pulled the girls behind their backs to protect them. Yeojin was scared and mentally scolded herself for talking back. Hyejoo didn’t show that she was scared but she hoped they wouldn’t hurt her or Yeojin.
Hyunjin clenched her fist and tried to calm down but Heejin wasn’t there to help her. She wants to wipe that smirk off his face with her fist but holds back.
If she wants to fight, then he’s gonna have to swing first so she can call it self defense.
“Just leave them and my friends alone. We will settle this on the baseball field next week alright?”
Jinhyuk listened to her but he looks at his crew and gestures for them to grab the girls by their arms. They struggle and try to free themselves but fail.
“Hey! Let go of me!”
“What the fuck?! Let me go you piece of shit!”
“Oh come on! Not again dude!”
“I swear to god if you don’t let go of me I will bite you!”
Hyunjin watched them as they tried to break free and angrily turns to Jinhyuk.
She roughly pushes him “Hey! Let them go! Did you not just hear what I said?”
Having heard enough from the sophomore, he just chuckles and swings his fist to her face. Her head snaps to the left and she reaches to touch her stinging cheek.
The other girls just worriedly stare at their friend. They silently hoped Hyunjin wouldn’t kill the dude because he just dug his own grave.
Hyunjin chuckles and gives a deadly look to Jinhyuk “Now you really shouldn’t have done that”
With no warning, she punched his face and he stumbled back holding his nose. She hit him so hard that a crack echoed through the gym.
The girls winced at the sound and silently laugh at his pain. His crew were still holding onto them but stared at Hyunjin with wide eyes.
“You bitch! You broke my nose!”
He takes off his hand to show he’s bleeding and Hyunjin just laughs and smirks.
“Oh so you think its funny huh? Well let’s see if you laugh when I do this” He walks towards Yeojin who gulped when he stood in front of her.
Next thing you know, Yeojin is laying on the floor in pain.
She groans and touches her lip to see blood. Jinsoul and Sooyoung try to break free to protect their youngest.
“You bastard! You’re dead you hear me!”
“You sick son of a bitch!”
Hyunjin saw what happened and attempted to run up to him but got held back by his crew.
“What the fuck Jinhyuk! Why didn’t you just punch me again! Let go of me!”
She kept on struggling as well as the other two.
Hyejoo quietly just stares at her friend and then looks up at Jinhyuk. She clenches her fist and with some strength, she breaks free from their arms and runs towards him.
Jinhyuk having no time to turn around, ends up on the floor and starts to receive punches from the dark haired.
“You bastard! No one hurts my friend!”
All Hyejoo saw was red. She hated when someone would pick on her friends especially Yeojin.
She doesn’t get a lot of punches in because she gets pulled away by his crew. She roughly tries to get out of their grasp while yelling but their grip was too strong.
“Let me go! He’s not getting away with this! You sick bastard! Ahh!”
She kept thrashing around but groaned when she felt a kick to her stomach.
“You bitch, thats what you get for hurting me”
Jinhyuk had gotten up and kicked Hyejoo while he wiped the blood off his face. He turned to the seniors who were still trying to break free.
He grabbed Sooyoung’s chin to forcefully make her look at him. Smirking “Do you have anything to say dance captain or should I say Ms. Player? It is true that you sleep around with people right?”
Sooyoung just glares at him hoping to intimidate him. She smirks “Seems like I can get into bed with more women then you right?”
His smirk drops and chuckles were heard from the girls. He gritted his teeth and let go of her chin.
He turns to look at Hyunjin “You really need to teach your friends on how to keep their mouth shut” what he did next angered the girls even more.
Sooyoung was pushed back into the ground by a strong kick to her chest. She coughed strongly due to the wind knocked out of her.
“Wow that hurt. I didn’t really think that would hurt but ow!” She wheezed out and tried to stay down but was pulled back up.
He let’s out a chuckle and smiles “Maybe now that you’ve seen what we would do to you, I suggest you don’t mess with me”
Hyunjin looked at the girls and frowned when she saw that they were in pain except Jinsoul. She was glad that the senior wasn’t hurt since she already got hurt yesterday.
Jinhyuk was about to gesture to his buddies to let them go till he sets his eyes on a familiar girl.
“Oh I seem to have forgot to do something” He walks to one of his buddies to grab the bat handed to him.
The girls were confused where he would’ve got that since they didn’t see him move.
But then that confusion turned into worry when Jinhyuk walked up to Jinsoul. He smirks and Hyunjin quickly tries to run up to stop him but the strong grip on her arms won’t let her.
“No Jinhyuk don’t!”
“Stop! Don’t do it!”
“No!”
“Don’t hurt unnie please!”
There pleas weren’t going to help stop him from hurting Jinsoul again. The senior just blankly stared at him and nervouly swallowed. She dreaded about getting punched or kicked again since her wounds were still fresh.
“I can’t forget about the person who started all this shit and went to snitch on me to her friends”
The guys holding Jinsoul adjusted her so he could hit her correctly. He raised his bat and looked right into her eyes. All he saw was fear and he liked it.
Jinhyuk swung the bat and the noise it made had everyone wincing. The girls tried to look away but just watched in horror as the bat made contact with her face.
Blood flew from Jinsoul’s mouth as she fell down. She landed on her side and turned to lay on her back as she groans in pain.
Heavily breathing, Jinsoul spits out some blood “You’re a sick bastard you know that? What in your right mind thinks this is okay?”
He laughs and then gestures to his crew to let go them already. They start to walk off but Jinhyuk halts in his steps. He just turns his head to look at them.
“Now I think you should understand to back off and not play hero am I right?” Chuckling, he walks out of the gym with his crew laughing right behind him.
The girls were left shocked and stood still till a groan gets their attention.
They quickly rush to Jinsoul’s aid and help the girl sit up. She holds her face as she’s bleeding profusely and she can’t seem to stop it.
“Oh my god Jinsoul unnie are you okay?”
Yeojin spoke up and Hyejoo just grabbed her bag to pull out small towel she would use in gym class. She gave it to the senior and tries to stop the bleeding.
“I’m so sorry this happened. I shouldn’t have punched him and not say anything” Hyunjin apologizes but Yeojin quickly dismisses her.
“No I should say sorry since Hyejoo had to call you guys because I couldn’t keep my mouth shut” She looks down with a sad look and there’s still some blood on her lip.
Sooyoung kept rubbing the spot where she got kicked at and breathed slowly. Hyejoo held her stomach feeling a bruise forming.
Hyunjin touched her bruised cheek only to flinch. Jinsoul held the towel to her mouth to stop the bleeding which worked a little.
They all just apologized to each other even if it wasn’t their fault. Sooyoung helps Jinsoul stand up to leave.
“I think we should go to the nurse to get our wounds treated” Hyunjin suggested and they nodded.
Yeojin and Hyejoo grabbed their bags and slung them over their shoulder. The other girls walked up to pick up their bags by the door.
They brought them knowing that they weren’t going back to class.
“Let’s go” They head down the hallway and walk down the stairs to the nurse office.
Let’s just say the nurse was shocked at seeing them hurt and was concerned about seeing Jinsoul hurt again.
“What happened now? I thought you were okay yesterday Jinsoul?”
They sat down on the beds inside the office.
“The same guy hurt us just because we tried to help out our younger friends” Jinsoul answered for them but hissed in pain when she kept on moving her lip.
The nurse made a motion for her to not talk and gave Hyunjin an ice pack. She then grabs a cloth to clean Yeojin’s lip and also gave her an ice pack.
“Alright let’s see what you girls have” She gestures to Hyejoo and Sooyoung.
They raise their shirts and show her the bruises they have. She mentally winces at the sight of their bruises.
She grabs a cream from the first aid kit used to help with bruises. She applies it to them then wrap a gauze around the bruises so the cream won’t come off.
“Its going to hurt for a little while but y’all will be okay” She turns to look at Jinsoul “Now show me what happened to you”
Jinsoul removes the bloody towel from her mouth and the nurse gasps.
The girls stand up to get a better look at her. They wince at the sight of the wound and pray for Jinsoul to not have to get stitches.
The blue haired is confused by their reaction and looks up to the nurse with big curious eyes.
“What were you hit by? Because this doesn’t look like a punch or kick”
“She got hit by a bat”
Sighing, the nurse grabs a cloth to clean the blood off her mouth. Once finished, she looks at the wound to see a cut go from the bottom of her lip to her chin.
“Okay well luckily you won’t need stitches but I will have to place a bandage there. It might disturb you a little bit but you’ll be good in a few days”
Jinsoul and the girls were relieved to hear that she didn’t need stitches. She sat still so the nurse can clean the cut and place a bandaid.
“Okay I’m done. You girls can just rest up here and then go back to class. I’ll just notify your teachers that you won’t be coming next period”
They nodded and either laid down or stayed sitting. No one said anything as they were thinking on how to talk to the girls about this.
“You know what, I’m gonna text the group chat to see if we can skip lunch and talk about this” Hyunjin suggested and the girls nodded.
Yeojin was a little scared being scolded by Haseul but she was more afraid of Yerim.
She shook her head to not think about it. They actually all thought about the same thing: Being scolded by Haseul and by their respective crushes.
Hopefully they won’t get in trouble by their coaches too. They really really hoped that they won’t get scolded by anyone and just rested.
