Later on in the day, the four girls mentioned earlier were together in a cafe. Books and notes scattered around their table as well as half empty coffee cups.
Groaning, Sooyoung closed her notebook and looked up at the others “The amount of numbers and letters make me want to jump in front of a car” Haseul rolled her eyes and just ignored her.
Vivi chuckled and just patted her head.
” How come you still can’t understand Sooyoungie? Didn’t Jinsoul tutor you the other day?” Sooyoung just nodded and sighed as she slouched in her chair.
“I don’t know but I know I’m gonna fail tomorrow and when I do, you’ll catch my ass on forensic files” Jinsoul just smacked the back of her head and laughed at her. Haseul can only stare at her friends who start to play fight and Vivi just recorded them and laughed.
Sighing, the class president just rubbed her temples and looked at Vivi for help. Feeling a stare on her, the black haired turned towards Haseul and just nodded and smilied. She kept on staring at Vivi even after smacking the kids’ heads and scolding them. Haseul didn’t know why she felt something in her stomach when Vivi smiled at her. And also as to why she can feel her heart beating out of chest, maybe she should get that checked.
“Hey did you guys remember the shit that went down earlier?” They raised their eyebrows at the question Jinsoul asked. “What about it? Please don’t tell me you’re going to join her team” Sooyoung begged her friend knowing she didn’t know a lot about the sport.
“well I was thinking we can all join and help her win against that dickhead” wide eyes were seen in her direction as she just nonchalantly said that. ” bitch are you dumb? We don’t know how to play fucking baseball and we don’t even know her” the dancer answered as Haseul was seen again rubbing her temples.
Vivi thought about it before answering “why not? I mean it can be fun and maybe we can make new friends who knows” she shrugged and felt the blue haired girl nod in her direction
Sooyoung sighed and actually thought about what the foreigner said ” Fine I’ll join but only if Haseul does” they nodded as the dancer turned towards the class president.
Haseul felt eyes on her and she just sighed knowing she couldn’t deny them. With a firm nod she agreed to join them “alright I’ll join y’all but can we go back to studying?” The others nodded and high fived each other and continued to study.
A brunette was laid down on her bed as she shuffled through her instagram. She’s been doing so for the past hour in hopes of finding a specific person. Her eyes lit up once she found who she was looking for and immediately followed them.
Looking through the posts, she felt herself blushing because of how beautiful someone can be. Heejin looked at Hyunjin’s recent posts and decided to befriend her tomorrow at school. She’s been wanting to talk to her since the beginning of the year. But she’s been too much of a chicken to actually say hi or even make eye contact with her.
You can probably say that Heejin may have a small crush on Hyunjin since she first saw her. She finished looking through her phone and sat up to think. “Should I try to join her team? If I do then we’ll probably be friends“
With a firm nod, she made her final decision and decided to join Hyunjin’s team. She wants to become friends with her and also hopefully win against that asshat.
The sun was almost setting by the time Hyejoo, Yerim and Yeojin got home. They had decided to go to an arcade and then head to Yerim’s house to eat dinner together. They headed to the kitchen as soon as entering and Yerim had started to cook since she’s the only one who knows.
Yeojin tried to help her out but was shooed away by the brunette. Hyejoo was just in the living room watching a show when Yeojin joined her, she was pouting.
“You do know she never let’s us help right?” She chuckled as the shorter one just sighed. “I still want to make sure since its her house” she shrugged.
About 15 minutes pass when Yerim yells out that dinner is ready. She is used to having to make dinner for herself because her parents work all night and don’t come home till morning.
They sat down and started eating silently till Yeojin asked them a question they were all thinking about. She clears her throat before speaking “Hey what do you guys think about the situation between Hyunjin and Jinhyuk?”
They make eye contact before answering “well I think it was stupid that he still wants a rematch even after being humiliated in front of everyone”Hyejoo chuckled.
“She’s right but I feel bad for Hyunjin since she doesn’t have a whole team, only one friend” Yerim answered and looked towards her friends with hopeful eyes “To be honest, I would like join her team and help her win against that jerk”
Yerim was met with wide eyes and furrowed eyebrows. ” um you don’t even know how to play baseball and you probably don’t even know what that it” exclaimed Hyejoo in confusion.
“It can be fun and we might even make new friends in other grades” the ‘sunshine’ explained and looked at the girls with big eyes.
Hyejoo just shook her head and continued eating. Although, Yeojin looked lost in thought and somewhat agreed with Yerim. “I mean there isn’t any harm in helping her. But we’re still going to need to learn how to play”
A gasp was heard as Yeojin was enveloped in a hug by Yerim. “So that means you’ll join right?” She just nodded at her knowing she can’t say ‘no’ to Yerim. You never say ‘no’ to Yerim.
Staring at her friends, Hyejoo agreed with a sigh and a firm expression ” Fine I’m in too but we have to make sure how to play well to win” she received nods and they continued eating. Later on, Hyejoo’s mom came to pick her up and Yeojin’s dad came to get her to go home.
Chaewon was seen pacing around the room of the Kim residence. She was mumbling to herself incoherent words as Hyunjin just watched her with a blank face.
“What the fuck is wrong you?!” The green haired exclaimed as she stopped moving and turned towards Hyunjin.
She was met with an eye roll and a shrug “what’s your problem Wonie?” the said girl’s eye just twitched.
“What’s my problem?! My problem is that your making play a damn sport that I have no idea how to play and you don’t even have a team to play with!” she pointed at Hyunjin.
Sighing and getting up from her seat, she approached her short friend ” look I know I was stupid to accept him when I don’t have a team but if I didn’t agree then he wouldn’t leave me alone till then”
Chaewon just rubs her temples ” how are you going to find people that want to play with us? I don’t think a lot of girls know how to play baseball”
Silence was heard as Hyunjin didn’t know how to form a team as to Chaewon being right.
“I don’t exactly know but I can teach whoever joins us but it will have to be quick” she looked at her same aged friend with a down expression.
“I’m sorry for pulling you into my problem. Its okay if you don’t wanna do it. I didn’t mean to force you” Chaewon saw that she was being remorseful for not giving her a chance to say no.
Hyunjin was shocked when she felt herself being pulled in for a hug. She reciprocates it but was also confused.
“Its alright Aeongie, I know you didn’t mean to. And I’m sorry for being a dramatic bitch but I’ll still help you even if I don’t understand shit about baseball” Chaewon broke the hug and smiled towards her friend.
“Thanks ChaCha and don’t worry I will teach you everything you need to know about baseball” they hugged again and the went to sit on the bed.
Hopefully Hyunjin manages to make a team in two days because she does not want to lose against some jerk face. She hates his sexist ass but she also hates losing. So let’s see what happens with these girls and how a sport can bring them together.
