As it was almost time for their date, Jinsoul had just finished taking a shower and changing into her clothes. She was ready yet nervous at the same time for their date.
The senior had on a blue striped shirt tucked into her jean shorts and put on a baseball cap backwards. It was getting hotter outside as it was almost summer.
She quickly finishes getting ready and heads to the living room. Sitting down on the couch was her two older sisters.
They turn to look at her with a teasing smile. Jinsoul doesn’t notice them staring at her as she gets ready to leave.
“Have fun on your date, Soulie” One of them told her catching her attention. She stops herself from walking to the door.
Jinsoul just stares at them with a done expression. The oldest stands up and walks up to her.
“Make sure you take care of her because it sounds like she’s keeper” She starts laughing along with the middle child.
Jinsoul just scoffs “Whatever. Don’t you guys have your own love lives to think about? Oh wait…you don’t!” She laughs at them.
Her sisters just frown and roll their eyes. Jinsoul smiles at them knowing thats she can now take her leave. She opens the front door and takes a step out.
“So I’ll be going then, don’t wanna be late. Later Jess and Krys unnie!” She tells them as she closes the door.
The senior heard them yell back bye at her after closing the door. She walks and gets into her car. She starts her car and drives off to pick up Jungeun.
While Jinsoul was on her way, Jungeun was already waiting for her in the living room. She had on a white button up blouse and black shorts.
Her blonde hair was half tied up. She was excited to finally go on a first date with the senior and hopes to go on more dates.
As she was waiting, her mom walks in and sees her daughter all dolled up. She didn’t know Jungeun had a date.
“Sweetie, who are you waiting for? And why are you dressed for a date?” Her mom asks her with a raised eyebrow.
Jungeun was startled as she didn’t hear her mom come in. She gulps and tries to think of an excuse to not say she’s going on a date.
“Uh I’m going out with some friends to the amusement park. I’m just waiting for my friend to pick me up” She lies.
Jungeun knew her mom was not really fond of the LGBTQ community. She never came out to her parents only to her older sister, who accepted her with open arms.
Her dad hasn’t said anything about supporting that community so she doesn’t know if she can come out to him.
Her mom nods “Oh okay. I thought you were going out on a date with some boy. Well, you’re still young so sorry” The junior just nods.
Her mom walks off into the kitchen “Have fun okay and be safe!” She yells at her as a knock is heard on the door.
Jungeun quickly gets up holding her purse. She fixes herself before opening the door.
Jinsoul stands on the other side with her famous :] smile. The junior blushes seeing how hot the senior looks wearing a baseball cap.
“Hey Jungie, you ready to go?” She asks the junior who nods.
Jungeun steps out of her house and shuts the door. They walk to the car and Jinsoul opens the door for Jungeun to get in.
She thanks her then the senior runs to the drivers side and gets in. They buckle up as Jinsoul turns on the car.
“So, how are you today?” The older asks as she starts driving away.
The younger looks at her and smiles “I’ve been a little bit tired of all the school work but I’m fine. How about you?”
Jinsoul chuckles and glances at her real quick “I’ve been well. Just a little nervous about today” She answers truthfully.
The junior nods as she understands why she’s nervous. She was too but was more excited.
“Well, today will be great because its our first date and I can’t wait to have more with you”
Jungeun blushes a little and sees the senior does as well. They smile at each other with their hearts beating simultaneously out of their chests.
“Oh we’ll have more dates later on don’t worry. But you can suggest what we could do for the other dates” She tells the blonde.
The younger nods and they fall into a comfortable silence. Jinsoul kept her eyes on the road as she drove and Jungeun looked out the window.
They arrived to the amusement park about ten minutes later. The older found a good parking spot and turned off the car.
She quickly gets out to open Jungeun’s door. She gets out with a small smile and they head towards the entrance.
The amusement park was one of the biggest ones in the country. It had what any of parks had and the rides were either dangerous or fast.
Jinsoul paid for their tickets then entered the park. They wanted to check out the rides first so Jungeun checked the map in her hand to see where they were.
“Should we go check out the bigger rides first? That way we don’t have to scream our lungs out anymore” Jinsoul suggested.
Jungeun chuckles “Okay. Let’s see, we have to go around the corner then just head straight” She tells the older.
They head off to the first ride. It was a tall one that had a big drop in the beginning. They were excited yet nervous because of the big drop.
The line went by fast and soon they sat down in the cart. The workers buckled them up and the two held hands.
Jungeun screamed as they went up and down the ride. Jinsoul laughed at first then started screaming as well.
The two students continued to get on different rides together. They would scream and laugh as they rode the rollercoaster.
By the time they got off the last ride, their stomachs cried out. So they walked to where the food stalls were.
Jungeun offered to pay for their meal since Jinsoul paid for the tickets but the older waved her off and said she’ll pay.
Paying for two corn dogs and drinks, Jinsoul brought the food to the table where Jungeun was sitting at.
She set down the food “Here’s your corn dog and drink” Jinsoul handed her the food.
“Thank you Soulie” She says and the older sits down as they start eating.
They were eating in silence as the park was heard. Screams, laughs, people talking and machines were heard around them.
Jungeun looks up at the older and finishes chewing “This date has been fun and thanks bringing me here. I feel like a kid here all over again” She smiles shyly at her.
Jinsoul looks at her with adoration eyes “You’re welcome but the date’s not over yet. I still have to win you the biggest plushie there is in the park!”
The older says with a dorky smile. Jungeun giggles at how cute the senior smiles. She hopes that the older never let’s go of her childish side.
“Okay then how about when we finish eating, we go play games so you can win me that plushie?” The junior says.
“Alright, I promise you I will win you a plushie. We are not leaving until I get you that plushie” Jinsoul said with determination.
Jungeun smiles at her and feeling her heart swell in adoration seeing how the older is determined to win her a plushie.
They finished eating and make their way to the game booths. As they looked for a game that had a big plushie, Jinsoul held Jungeun’s hand.
The junior was blushing a little as the senior interlaced their fingers. Jinsoul felt her heart literally beat out of her chest as she confidently held her hand.
They looked like a regular high school couple. Jungeun noticed a game where a big owl plushie was hanging from the top.
“Ooh let’s go play that game come on” She pulls Jinsoul’s arm towards the booth.
They arrived in front of the booth and waited for their turn. For the game, Jinsoul had to pop as many balloons as she can in one minute.
To get the owl plushie, she had to pop at least fifteen or more balloons. They watched as people failed to get the big plushie.
“You know, you don’t have to get me the owl one. You can just win me whichever and I’ll still love it” Jungeun tells the senior.
She saw how hard it was to actually win the big prize. She didn’t want Jinsoul to feel pressured to play the game well and win the prize.
“Nah its fine, I like playing these types of games. I’m gonna win you that owl plushie no matter what it takes”
Jinsoul said firmly yet with a wide smile. Jungeun chuckles “Whatever it takes? What will you do if you don’t win?” She asks curiously.
Jinsoul nods “If I don’t win, then I’m gonna throw myself into the wall to pop all the balloons” She said and the blonde starts laughing.
“Wow okay. I would love to see that! You flying into the balloons” Jungeun says as she calms herself from laughing. The senior laughed along with her.
Once it was their turn, Jinsoul paid the worker two dollars to play. He placed a basket of darts in front of her.
“So its simple, just pop as many balloons as you can with all the darts in one minute. Alright, one minute on the clock starts…now!” He says as the timer starts going.
Jinsoul immediately grabs a dart and throws it to a balloon. It pops as the sharp end made contact with it. Jungeun stood on the side as she cheers for her.
The sounds of the balloons popping echos through the booth. The worker is standing by watching Jinsoul with wide eyes. Even Jungeun was shocked with how well she’s playing.
Jinsoul almost manages to pop all of the balloons on the wall. The timer beeps signaling that the game is over. The senior smirks in satisfaction seeing only one balloon was left.
“Uhh wow…that was awesome! Bro how’d you do that?!” The worker yells with wide eyes. He hi fives Jinsoul who laughs and thanks him.
“Yea Soulie, how did you do that? You left like just one balloon!” Jungeun had shock written all over face.
The worker asks what prize she wants and the senior points to the big owl plushie. He nods and grabs a step ladder to get the plushie.
Jinsoul grabs the plushie before turning and giving it to Jungeun. The junior struggles a little to hold it since she has small arms.
They thank the guy for the prize before walking off. Jinsoul saw the blonde struggling to hold the plushie so she takes it into her arms.
Jungeun smiles at the older “Thanks for the plushie. Who knew you were a pro at popping balloons fast!” They chuckle.
“It was easy since I already have good aim from playing third base. I mean, I needed to have a good eye to throw you some outs” The older says and smiles at her.
The two students walk around to play some more games. Jinsoul held onto the owl in her arms to let Jungeun play games.
The senior watched as Jungeun smiled and laughed while playing games. She’s glad that the junior was enjoying herself on their date.
Jungeun saw how the older would stare at her with loving eyes and it made her blush as her heart beated wildly.
As the sun started to set, Jinsoul decided it was time to take Jungeun home. The younger did look a little bit tired but she tried to tell her she was fine.
“Its been a long day already so its fine if you’re tired. I also don’t want to make your parents worried about you being out all day” Jinsoul tells her as they walk to the exit.
Jungeun held onto her arm as they walked. She had fun on this date and already can’t wait for their next one.
As they arrived to the car, Jinsoul held open the door for Jungeun to get in. Then she puts the plushie into the back seat and buckles it up.
Getting in, Jinsoul starts the car before driving off. Jungeun being bold, reaches over to the console to grab Jinsoul’s hand.
The senior looks over and interlaces their fingers. Both of them had a small blush on their cheeks. It was a comfortable silent drive back as the moon shines in the dark sky.
Pulling up to her house, the senior turns off the car and gets out to open the door for the junior. She then gets the plushie from her back seat.
They walk up to the porch as the date was about to end. Jinsoul holds the owl as Jungeun takes out her house keys from her purse.
“Thank you for today, Soulie. I had so much fun with you and thanks again for winning me the owl plushie” She smiles widely at her.
Jinsoul also smiles at showing off her dimples “You’re welcome, Jungie. I’m glad that you had a great time as I also had such a wonderful time with you” She boops the younger on the nose.
Jungeun giggles and scrunches her nose. Jinsoul chuckles at her cute reaction and stares at her with adoration.
The junior hears her parents in the living room and hopes they don’t come out. She wants to bid goodbye to Jinsoul properly without them interrupting.
Jinsoul hands the big owl plushie to Jungeun “I guess I should let you go now. Here’s your plushie, I hope it reminds you of me when you sleep next to it” She smirks at her.
Jungeun rolls her eyes “Really? You want to be reminded as a owl? I thought you said you looked like that lizard from frozen” She asks her as she sets the owl by the door.
“Well yea but there wasn’t a lizard plushie that I could win for you. So just cuddle up against the owl and think of me okay?” She says as the junior steps closer.
Jungeun smiles and nods “Alright then I will. Since you are a great cuddle buddy from the time you came over to take care of me” She stands closer to the older.
Jinsoul chuckles before opening her arms for Jungeun to hug her. The younger wraps her arms around her torso and the older wraps her arms around her shoulders.
The junior had her head tucked into the senior’s neck. Jinsoul had her chin on top of Jungeun’s head as they hugged.
They hug for a few seconds before letting go of each other. Jinsoul steps back a little to say goodbye but Jungeun pulls her back.
She loops her arms around the taller’s neck. Jinsoul then raises her arms to wrap them around the shorter’s waist. They stared at each other for a while waiting to see what happens next.
Jinsoul’s eyes seemingly drift down to Jungeun’s lips before looking back up. The junior understands that the senior wants what she wants as well.
They both leaned in like a magnet pulled them towards each other. Their lips were so close that they can feel their own breaths. Their hearts beating simultaneously out of their chests.
Jinsoul being the sweet and considerate person she is asks “Can I?” And seeing Jungeun nod makes her lean down the close the gap.
Their lips moved against each other softly as Jinsoul tighten her hold on Jungeun. The younger pushed herself closer to the older as she felt like so high in a good way.
The kiss was soft and slow as Jinsoul gripped her waist. Jungeun wanted to take off the cap the older was wearing to tread her hands in her blue tresses.
They both pulled back as their lungs screamed for oxygen. Their cheeks were a deep shade of red as they still held onto each other. Jinsoul chuckles and smiles seeing Jungeun all shy.
“That was…amazing” Said the taller and the shorter giggles.
“Yea it really was” Jungeun was in a small daze as the feeling of Jinsoul’s lips linger around her.
The older pulls her into a hug again. Pulling away, Jinsoul gives Jungeun a quick peck on the lips.
“I’ll let you go now because if I don’t, then your parents are going to have to physically pull me away from you”
Jinsoul tells her with a small smile and she giggles. Jungeun didn’t want her parents to walk out on them making out so she reluctantly let her go.
“Okay. I’ll see you on Monday at school and hopefully Jiwoo isn’t being all sweet with Sooyoung unnie” She says and rolls her eyes.
Jinsoul laughs and remembers how her fellow senior also had a date today with the cute junior.
“Yea you’re right. Its already bad that you have to be in the same car as them” Jungeun groans at that.
“Me and Yerimie have to. Although I don’t think she will actually care if they’re being overly sweet” The junior says.
After they calm themselves from laughing, Jinsoul backs up to walk away. Jungeun opens the front door a little before turning around to face the senior.
“Bye and thanks again for everything today. Drive safe and text me when you get home please” Jungeun tells the older.
Jinsoul nods “You are very welcome. And I will, I promise. I’ll see you Jungie” She walks backwards to her car.
“Bye Soulie” Jungeun waves to her. She picks up the owl plushie and walks into her house.
Jinsoul waits till Jungeun is inside of her to get into her car. She turns it on before pulling away from her house and heading to hers.
They both were feeling something they couldn’t explain. But, it made them feel good and they were content with it.
As promised, Jinsoul texted Jungeun that she arrived at home safely. And, Jungeun did in fact use the owl plushie as a cuddle buddy and thought of Jinsoul.
They both couldn’t wait what was the next step to take in this developing relationship.
