“Let’s go crazy in our own world.”
LISA
“Jennie-yah,” I scooted next to her when I reached her table. She is currently at the library preparing for the finals. We barely have the time to talk or to meet each other because of the hectic schedule on our plates. But still, if I have a free hour, I always spent it with her.
“What?” she said without looking at me. She looked so elegant with her hands perched on her book. For a moment, I wished to be the book that she’s holding but then again, I remembered that she’s already mine. She’s already my girl.
“I have a question,” I said trying to sound really serious.
“You better not be joking Manoban,” she warned. She knows how playful I am to her these days.
“I’m not!” I said in defense with my hands raised as if I was taking an oath.
“Okay, what is it?” she closed the book as I rest my head at the back of her shoulders with my arms wrapped around her petite waist.
“How does a Helium laugh?”
“Urghhhh. Not again!”
“Come on, just try.”
“I don’t knowwww. You’re distracting me for your lame jokes again. I could have kicked you out of this building if only you don’t mean the world to me.”
“Awww you’re so sweet nini.” I replied while placing my head at the crook of her neck and gently pressing it against her skin. She’s wearing a black off-shoulders and a gray skirt by the way. My sexy nini is burning hot!
“So how does Helium laugh?” Jennie asked now looking at my face, her breath almost neighboring on my cheek.
“HeHe?” I faced her while grinning wickedly. She just rolled her eyes on me.
“Should I laugh now?” she said before she faked her laugh. I pouted at her before I grinned again and tickled her by pressing my nose on her neck.
“Yah! Lisaaaa! S-stop ittt! It tickles!” Jennie giggled.
“Ehermm,” we stopped what we’re doing when someone cleared her throat in front of us. It was the librarian.
“I just want to remind you that this is a library. Please refrain yourself from making unnecessary noises and stop showing public display of affection,” she paused. “And.. please do respect those who are single. Too much giggling is kinda irritating girls!” She turned her back on us as she walked to supervise her area. Jennie and I exchanged confused looks before we let out a soft laugh.
After that, Jennie continued studying again while I played on my phone.
“Hey! I’ve been searching for you guys,” Rosé spoke as she sat down in front of us.
“Shhhh. Minimize your voice. My girlfriend is studying for her exams!” I almost said it in a whisper. Rosé just arched her brows at me then she cracked up.
“Stop it Manoban. It does not suit you!”
“I was just practicing my acting skills. Should I audition as a choir member? It would literally improve my dancing skills. Or maybe I should stick with reading an English book so that I’ll be good at computing mathematical equations. Should I go on dissecting a frog? Or maybe I should just do calligraphy instead. Okay, I’m done with my nonsense talk. Now let me ask why are you looking for us?”
Jennie, Rosé, and I laughed hysterically in chorus.
“You’re so funny Lisa-yah!” Rosé exclaimed as she hit me in my arm.
“You guys, if I don’t pass this exam I will really go and burn your houses down!” Jennie warned then she snickered.
“Omooo I’m scared,” I ribbed.
“You’re such a bunch of distractions. Let me focus, okay?”
“Okay okay. So, I just wanna ask if you have eaten your lunch already? It’s almost 12 y’all!”
“Not yet,” Jennie and I said in sync.
“No wonder why my stomach’s grumbling already. I was planning to eat Jennie—” I stopped at that thought.
“What?!”
“No, no! I mean I was planning to eat WITH Jennie,” I said it again now putting more emphasis on the word WITH.
“Hmm. I thought you were…you know..gosh guys! Have you gone that far already?!” Rosé laughed mischievously which made Jennie and I blushed.
“Yah! Chaeng!” Jennie exclaimed.
“You. Are. Really. Green. Minded!” I seconded.
“No, I’m not! You said it yourself that you’ll eat Jennie—” This time I went over Chaeng’s side and covered her mouth.
“Yah! Stopppp!” I took it off when she stopped resisting.
“I was just teasing you!”
She hissed as she fixed herself.
“Anyway, Jisoo is absent today so I don’t have any company as of the moment that’s why I wonder if I could go and eat with you? I’m gonna go third wheeling today woooh!” she sarcastically said then she continued.
“It’s better than eating alone though. So shall we?”
“Sure, lezzgo!” I said as I pulled Jennie up.
