Taming The Campus Ice Queen (Jenlisa) -Completed- Chapter 33

A+ A-

LISA

Saying that I wasn’t bothered when Jennie told me that she will be leaving to New Zealand after graduation will be a lie. I was. I didn’t even see that coming.  I can’t imagine us living far away from each other separated by a massive distance.

But I have to remain strong when she’s breaking down like that.

“You! You are not wearing your I.D.” I heard Jennie’s voice near the library. She was there cornering a poor guy who was looking at her with a pair of curvy hearts in his eyes.

Damn. Boys never fail to drool over Jennie’s beauty. Can’t he even tell that the girl in front of her will be punishing him in the next few minutes?

“I..why…are…you…so…pretty?” Jennie’s eyes widened and then her face turned sour. She surely is grumpy today.

“I know that. Your I.D.?” Jennie asked again. Now, more serious than ever and it made the guy snap back to reality.

“Oh! Sorry! It’s… it’s in my bag!”

“Wear it or else I’ll —”

“Let him go Jen–” I intervened.

“Who do you —Lisa!” Jennie turned to me and gave me a hug. I signalled the boy to leave us while the grumpy Jen is still distracted by my presence.

“U-uhm. Jen? You’re always hugging me way too tight?”

“Opps! Sorry. I kinda missed you?” she said as she loosened her arms around my waist, her face looking up at me.

“I missed you too,” I said in my sweet voice then I looked down and leaned closer just enough for our nose to touch. I gave her a tingling sensation as I gently rubbed my nose on hers.

“Wait—the I.D. guy!” she looked back without letting go of me.

“Let him be. He said that his I.D. is in his bag.”

“But still—”

“Jen, I’m here okay? Focus on me instead of some other guy out there.”

“I’m always focused on you, stupid.”

“Aw. Now you’re calling me stupid?”

“I’m just stating a fact.”

“Are we going to bicker again?”

“You started it kid!” she withdraw from the hug.

“Kid? Me? Okay then! I might as well cancel our plan for today,” I uttered, crossing my arms, acting like I was offended. Jennie walked closer to me as she wears her gummy smile.

That smile is really my Achilles hills. Damn! This girl knows me so much!

“What plan?”

“Not gonna tell.”

“Ahhh come onnnn!”

“U-uhh no,” I saw how she painted a smirk on her face which literally means that she’s up to something.

She tiptoed and gently brushed her lips on mine. Seriously this girl doesn’t care about the people who are passing by looking at us doing some kind of entertainment service.

“Still not gonna tell?” she said seductively.

“Okay okay! I give up. Let’s go!”

Jennie opened the window to welcome the fresh air coming from the sea. Her face couldn’t conceal how happy she is at the moment. I decided to bring her near the sea to somehow redirect her thoughts and not spend her day stressing over academics.

When we arrived, she immediately run over and soaked her feet in the cold sea water, splashing here and there like a kid who went to the sea for the very first time. I just watched and laughed at her innocent and cute gestures. The happiness that she’s feeling, it’s just too genuine and contagious.

I brought out my camera and took pictures of her. I really love taking photos. It’s the hobby that holds all my interest. I am in love with taking photos specially when the subject is Jennie. Pictures are like memories which can’t be changed nor erased even by time. It’s the mini time machine that can make us remember the moments that we had spent in the past. It does not only captures faces, but it also pull down the moments that turns into memories in the next second.

“Lisa-yah. Thank you for bringing me here,” Jennie said as we walked around the neighborhood. Our hands intertwined and her head was leaning on my shoulder.

This is the warmest feeling that I will never forget. Ever.

“I’m glad you loved it. Wait here. I’ll buy us some food.  You surely have used all your energy running around like a puppy,” I chuckled as I immediately distanced myself because I know that she will not hesitate to smack me for teasing her. Jennie just gave me a death glare when I entered the nearest store.

When I got out from the store, there was no Jennie who was waiting for me. I immediately ran in searched of her.

I found her in the narrow alley that was a block away from the store but to my surprise, she wasn’t alone. There was a girl who was wearing a hood on the side near Jennie and four men looking like overdressed gangsters in front.

“Stop meddling. We just want the girl. Do you want to tag along too? We still have one more room for a pretty face like you,” the guy with a curly hair said loudly while grinning.

The audacity of this thug to insult my girl.

“Shut up flies! How dare you bully someone in broad daylight. You surely have some guts!” Jennie uttered as she clenched her fist.

“You’re so hard headed miss. We don’t really have plan of taking you with us today but you left us with no choice. Get the both of them!” the bald guy which is likely to be their leader commanded which made the three men marched forward.

Jennie was attentive enough to the catastrophe nearing her. In an instant, she kicked the can that was resting on the ground and it knocked one of the three men down.

The girl that was beside her was already hugging her knees, too frightened to move and help herself.

When the curly hair was about to throw a punch, I quickly ran on the wall and throw him a kick which made him bumped his head on the other side of the brick.

“What the heck! Why do people keep meddling in our business?!” the bald guy exclaimed from the back. I saw how the other goon hesitated to attack and is now stepping back slowly.

“Sorry Jen, I’m late.” I said as I looked back and winked at her.

“You’re just on time,” she replied then she rushed to the frightened girl.

“Go get them!” the bald guy commanded again, fear was traced in his voice. I was about to prepare myself for their attacks but then both of them departed faster than a speed of light. The other two who got knocked down ran away as fast as they could too.

“What a bunch of weaklings.”

“It’s okay. They’re gone now,” Jennie assured the girl before she assisted her to stand up. I walked toward them.

“It’s okay now. They’re nothing but losers anyway.”

The girl was taller than Jennie. She has a great physique too. But her long wavy hair was covering her face. She slowly removed her hood. Jennie and I couldn’t hide the amusement when we saw how gorgeous the girl in front of us is.

“T-thank you f-for saving m-me.”

“No worries.”

“I’m Tzuyu by the way. And if you don’t mind will you please walk me home? I’m still scared. Don’t worry, I just live around that corner.”

Before Jennie could respond, I already anchored my arm on the girl. I saw how Jennie looked at me coldly by the way I acted.

She really is possessive. What a cutie.

“Sure! By the way I’m Lisa, and this girl with a mandu cheeks is my girlfriend, she’s Jennie.”

“Mandu huh? I’ll surely smack you later Manoban!”
