[ Y/n’s Point of View ]

The three grown men came making their way towards us with a greet, their voice carried enticing solute.

“General? General it is you!.. *gasp* Almighty Shogun is here too!”

“Are you injured your Excellncy?” The man in front asked worriedly, approaching Ei.

“Ahem.. I’m quite alright just a little stiff.”

She assures them while i notice a nother group of hounds started to appear this time. Tsk- honestly i am finding this rather irritating, appearing hounds and illusions one after another isn’t coming into an end…

“We, the Shogunate samurai, will defend her Excellency until the very end!” The man in the front explaimed as they prepared for a battle. But, alas as much as I’d like to call it off for that i hardly believe an illusion could take a scratch but, for the sake of further courtesy i might atleast watch how it goes.

“Very well, allow me to fight besides you.”

“Don’t, it is too dangerous.” Ei interrupted from behind, and i could only raise a brow at her, not sure if she is referring to me or the samurais right here.

“Danger is our duty ma’am, if we were kind to shy away from danger, we never would’ve taken up any arms to begin with.” Said by the front man standing whike the one besides her turns to speak. “No need to worry your Excllency, we’ve been trained and taught how to use our blessings bestowed by the gods.” …

‘Can we just begin?’ i thought with my eyes closed, clearly growing impatient by the repetitive active recites from the past itself. “Alright, Men! Now that Her Excellency is here. It is far enough to give us hope! Now, prepare your weapon and… sarge!” I declare and without a moment to waste they’ve heed my orders, hasting their way towards the rifthounds.

As much as I’d love to use my pyro and blast it whole, but i wouldn’t risk causing further confusion with these poor souls so instead im inclined to use my Electro… Though i am not very much a fond of using it. Not especially in front of her.

I exhale, unleasing out thunderous clash. For once using the move i had done in the battlefield but i did not stop there, swiftly i turned taking one after another and until i met her gaze locked into mine. It was almost as if, scrutinizing at every more i took.

Ha, i pierce through the hound with the tip of my polearm struck right on its eye, i watch it fall and fade before me. Now only leaving the bigger one behind. Both men from sides readied themselves in formation just from the way i trained them to do so. I tilt to my sides with a nod. Now looking back with my eyes and vision that glows matching its amethyst like color. The men worked first holding the hound or creating for atleast distraction to it, leaving the prize for me to take the the chance.

One swift, and it was all over.

. . . .

“Finally their attacks are over. Ha, I’ve never fought fiercely this much before, not to mention, General the last blow was Awe-inspiring.”

“This is nothing, now that the battle is over. You can leave the rest to all of you..” I glance at Shogun and back to them. “While i escort her Excllency somewhere safer.” I exclaim, and i could tell Ei could only look at me blankly. I wouldn’t fail to notice the point of her annoyance.

“If it is you General, you can place your trust in us. We, brothers in arms will stick together as we fight number of monsters that comes in our way.”

I nod at their assuring exclaim.

[ A few moments later (of course im too lazy to fill that script and hey i forgot the line) ]

“You ought to leave the rest to the Tenryou and Yashiro Commissions for that it appears like the threats will not be appearing for a while.” I say as soon as the Samurais left leaving only i and Ei herself.

“I suppose we can go by that… I’ll let them handle the follow-ups- hmm..”
Ei said witha following heavy sighs as she leads her palm resting on her head.

“You don’t clearly look well do you. Pray tell that you seriously aren’t expecting I’ll simply leave you be.” I snicker knowing damn well that nothing good comes with leaving yourself vulnerable to your enemy.

“My body… I can’t move it. Y/n.. the situation is too serious than what i thought would you not mind… Take me to the cave below the Grand Narukami Shrine…” She says weakly and it appears that the situation is dire as she speaks i am left with two opinions, i either take advantage of this situation by threatening here where the Gnosis is and that Documents… But… Tsk-

“Fine. Count it as a favour, remember, i won’t be kind twice.” I groan as i carry her in a bridal style, caught her expression off guard, immediately schooling it into neutrality.

“Now i can see even the roughest parts has it own softness. I see now why my sister had chosen you over me…”

“Say no more…”

“Were here.” I exhale slowly putting her down. “Thank you… Finally that we’re here, the entrance should be nearby…” I stared at her with a mixed doubt, confusion we’re all over at my face and out of all sudden a Torii appered glowing, as if it was les by some Sakura mist.

“Oh, will you look at that. It is not everyday i get to see some dazzling tricks.” I say awed but, immediately schooling my composure back to its stoic like attire. “So what does this entrance led to? Exactly?” I asked, my eyes following her as she walked with her palm still agaisnt her head. As clear is the day, my concern would definitely slip off, if i ever again.
see that face of hers, up close to my damn face.

“My condition is getting worse but, I’m about to put to an end to it all. This is a place i once sealed off with my hands… The entrance to my sister’s Consciousness.”

As soon as she mentioned those, it struck right straight to my curiosity. Ever dying to know what could be there. Thoughts and questions raced in my head, but i kept them shut, as it has to be.

Ei, made her way closer to the enterace. Its center glowed along with her touch. “Are you coming with me?”

. . . My pride, my Ego. Fighting for itself to stay on my ground, it urged to voice out the duties i ought to preserve. However, I didn’t even have the luxury to even choose, the gate itself sucked me before i could even decide.

Ugh… Must everytime, what she does is done as pleased, i suppose there is no helping a ruler whose head is high and mighty. I shake my head clearly sick from the jeopardy, now noticing the two mirred individual infront of me… I couldn’t believe it for a moment.

“Makoto?”

“As much as i hate to break it to you but, i might tell you that i am a different being of who you speak of.”

Said with a stricter voice much more different than Ei, who appeared to be standing just with a great distance from her.

I watched the both of them with intensifying stares, both my eyes darting back and forth from the two, clearly far from grasping the situation at hand.

“You wandered the Realms of my body and you appear to have grasped the essence of eternity. You believed your present self has greater certainty than your former self. Thus you believe your present self is correct, don’t you?” . . .

“But have you really been enlightened with nee ideas? Or.. have you been degraded by irreversible erosion.”
The Shogun finished.

And i could only thought that Ei and her Puppet could be having some issues in their own belief of past and present? … For at least that is what i can think of.

“I’m here to show my answer.” A softer and kinder tone said and, i dart to my side where it came from, but Ei herself.

“We are both warriors. And the dialogue we must now have shall be conducted in blades alone.”

Ei adds. As i could sense that things here could turn into some battlefield.

“Ei.. i must urge you not to battle when clearly you weren’t feeling well awhile ago?” I hurried my turn to speak as i walked closer to her.

“The discomfort i was experiencing earlier was caused by the Shogun rejecting my continued use of her body. Indicates, once i had started entertaining the idea of change i become hostile to her eyes.”

Ei speaks assuring me and i nod in understanding, for those alone were enough to answer my questions.

“You’re not thinking of battling right here aren’t you? Let alone in Makoto’s Consciousness?”

“If it means i must in order to alter the manifested past ideals i had set for Shogun, then you know where this will go.” Ei said shaking her head.

Tsk- i could only stand out of their own deed, not so keen on hearing wherr things goes.

“You wish to make me your enemy?” The Shogun said with a heavier voice it was the last part i had to hear, cause my ears had turned deaf to the rest of their dialogue…

“I am your past, the everlasting law, the guardian of eternity.” …

“And i am who she promised dreams to her subjects… Raiden Ei.” Ei said taking out her sword swiftly preparing itself for the battle that has began, in the ground before me. I could only turn away and think.

What am i here for…’

Dammit i surely did not come to Inazuma. My birth land just to witness a whole jeopardy, right away after Her grace threw all Signora’s responsibility to my very hands and has yet to come to an end.

. . .

I’ve reached to a point witnessing Shogun to recover for the 3rd time right after falling from the battle, making this battlefield an endless one. And as for me, unfortunately i was given the bodied exercise to move and dodge, again and again. Thanks to the slashes that were mindlessly thrown in my way.

Out of sudden another wave of thunder struck above me uninvited.
“Ugh..” i said with a gruff.

“Is it finally over?” I ask following with a sigh.

“It appears that your material prowess has not dullen. But how long can your will remain strong?” The Shogun claimed once again rising with her polearm ever so eager to meet the blade.

“I guess not.” Again. I sigh.

“Her existence is tenacious indeed. She was built to resist erosion. Her will is stronger than any living beings. Including you.” Ei exclaimed.

“That sounds as if there is no end to this.”

…. I watch Ei’s gentle breath flow along with her face that remained determined, for a moment.. i saw a glimpse. Of course, of her, the ambitious and determined god whose gentle heart held me captive and i couldn’t bring myself to admit what i am seeing or simply i wish to deny it.

“… I have finally understood the ambitious and the dreams of the people of which Makoto spoke of true eternity be it if this battle must takes years or many more centuries i will take whatever it cost to defeat her.”
….

“I vow to the subjects of Inazuma that i shall one day return. Please Y/n, be my witness.” She said after a pause turning to me.

“During my absence, i will place everything in Miko’s hand.” . . .

“Pass my word, Y/n i owe you Everything.”

She said for one last time in a low tone, she turned her head giving me a glance, those glowing amethyst gave disaster of thoughts to me. Before i could even open my mouth, a void right behind sucked me in.
