I open my eyes finding myself in an unfamiliar place the atmosphere before me covered in a fog, i look down to my hands then to the ground the familiarity of it tells that i am again in a battlefield the clothes i wear is something i abandoned long ago, blood scattered everywhere down the ground with fallen samurais and their swords pierced down.
Could this be—
“Y/n.”
!?
I turn around quickly in the source of that familiar voice a smile creeping in my face both my eyes sparkling at the sight of me, the person who in front of me having the capability to pull a beat along with a twisted pain.
“Makoto..?”
My arms reaching her both of my legs slowly taking a step closer but, the closer i get i farther she goes.
“Please…” I say desperate.
“Be there for her, I trust you even at my last breath.”
What is she saying, i eventually get my legs together sprinting towards her instead she turns away, again wearing the same smile on her face. No, don’t do this don’t leave me yet again please.. Ma—
Thundercracks
?! I turn to my side immediately my brow furrows at the sight of me, the one who makes my blood boil, my heart in a twisted ache and my stomach sick to the core, you again. Shadow.
“You have failed me.”
“Failed you? Absurd.” I growl both my hands in a fist, all of this coming into obvious it is certain that this again is a dream something I’ve had repeatedly for over a thousand times albeit this night seemed to be different from the rest. Makoto would usually would be bleeding down the ground while Kagemusha strikes me down dead in no time and there is no memory of her saying a word. I ponder for a moment, well let’s wait and see how this will play.
“How are you alive.”
“Oh, I’m blessed.” i reply sarcastically.
“You should’ve been dead.”
“Do come again, I dare you.”
“…“
. . .
“Will you forgive me after everything..”
. . .
What?
Did the merciless person i once knew just?— I was interrupted from my thoughts coughing up blood flecking from my lips my vision began to blur, ah the sensation felt rather real..
Since when did..
Oh.. wait i turn around with my eyes widened in horror, no this isn’t something that should happen.. you..
“Your Grace?..”
I couldn’t react in another other way, other than shock and disbelief the person standing in front of me now with her frozen blade pierced under my chest.
I—

“TEYVAT TO Y/N!!“
A high pitched voice woke me up from my slumber, my breath in a panted pace as if i just ran a whole damn race all the way from a whole forsaken continent, I turn my head finding a ginger haired individual wearing a concerned expression on his face.
“Comrade, you alright?” Tartaglia said in a gentle tone. I turn my head down to my stomach reaching for my chest. It isn’t there, but i could feel my heart beating furiously fast.
I wave my hand at him shutting my eyes while massaging my temples.
“I’m alright, just a terrible dream..”
“The usual. Is it not.” He replied again gently, I can’t find why exactly he is being so gentle, gentle today but i couldn’t careless who knows perhaps later he’ll invite me for a fight in return.
“Unusual of sort.”
He nods at my reply while he gives me my coat. To my surprise he just left just like that. What’s up with him. Ah, forget it, the sun has set i ought to haste for my preparation in journey to Narukami, although something is bothering me.

It wasn’t long until i at last arrived in Inazuma. I am wearing a local cloth with a kitsune mask to cover my face in order to avoid being recognized, since im all wary that the nation once knew me as a traitor sure that word came from only her however i am not certain if it is still around during this new generation albeit it saves some trouble to do so.
I look around my eyes observing through the crowds, serenity can be seen all around the people, the smiles and the children giggling as they pass by me running. Ah, how long has it been since the last time I’ve witnessed such.. Makoto, would you be happy…
. . .
Alright i am not here to have my leasures although i highly hope of dining into some cuisine i’ve so long crave the bite of it. A pity for me, as a Harbinger i must waste no more and find my way to breach into Tenshukaku without being noticed although i do have a plan of sort to get in however, I’m not certain if that passage still exist or it has been long gone unused.
I ponder my way as i stroll, suddenly passing by a familiar scent in no-way my sense of smell could ever forget. This is sure to belong to only some mischievous foxes emits. I turn taking a grasp of an individual whose long pinkish adorning hair covering the bareness of her back, Electro vision designed to be an elaborate earrings attached to her ears as it twitches she tilts her head to side taking a glance in my way.
Caught off guard, immediately i turn away. I am sure in my whole life there is only one pinky fox who would dress in way that breaks the code of a shrine maiden. Just now was that… Miko?
I shake my head while i attempt to act as if trying to be a natural citizen or a passerby of sort, in the hopes of attempting to flee from her gleeful glances.

Why in the name of Teyvat… why won’t she just leave me alone..!
Unbelievable I’ve been followed around nearly for an hour and due to this i haven’t had the chance to even walk my way towards Tenshukaku. Has she perhaps developed a stalking behavior.. no Miko.. you seriously cannot fail me this way after that previous kitsune, Ah.. well foxes are foxes after all they sure are or perhaps do they grow out of nature?
Again i look around as i plan my way for an escape, sure she isn’t that close to me but according to my senses says otherwise. If she won’t come to me then i ought to find a way for her to. I began walking away farther from the city until i finally reach a cliff nearby, keeping my alertness intact.
I inhale deeply, looking down.
With one foot hanging on the air–
. . .
?!
Footsteps and rustles were heard.
“What an elaborate performance, care to state me your identity by means i know you aren’t that far.”
A sly voice said from above.
Tsk— i suppose purposely jumping off the cliff didn’t do the trick, is it because she is a fox, that sharp nose of hers sure is enough to tell i was nearby i should’ve instead covered myself with dirt during the process. Albeit this alone is enough to pull her towards me.
I jump up landing on the ground, i did purposely fall only to hide beneath i had though she’d follow me down. Ah, a pity.
She looks at me from head to toe, her eyes contemplative as if she is recalling something of sort and i couldn’t bring myself to what her thoughts may be.
*Coughs* i interrupts her.
She blinks twice before covering her mouth to chuckle. “May excuse me, you remind me of a person i once knew.. not to mention you carry a familiar scent only one a certain someone would emit.” She mutters these words almost vividly yet that doesn’t slip the fact of her coyness is written all over her face.
I try to act as if im confused and surprised for whatever the cost is in order to get away from her as soon as i can. Thanks the Teyvat my hair isn’t the same as it used to be this should be enough for me to appear natural.
“..Is that so you must be mistaking me of someone, I am by means no more than just a simple passerby.”
“A simple passerby wouldn’t possibly bring themselves to jump off the cliff unless.. they have some sort of death wish.”
“I had the feeling of being followed, i suppose, and it was my instinct to hide.”
Her eyes narrowing at my reply giving me a doubtful look that says (come again?) Yes, i am a terrible liar.
“Was falling a hiding strategy of yours, then those alone confirms you are no common folk… Not to mention you rather have the taste to dress in such a.. old fashioned way..” She speaks slyly as if trying to taunt a reaction out of me. Bless the Archons i choose to wear a mask and that’s enough to cover all embarrassed expression that might say otherwise. Never once a thought came to me in changing my perspective of fashion.
. . .
“Your silence says otherwise.. may.. do me a favor and let me take brief look behind your mask.”
“Declined.”
“Ah, too quick fufu.” She coos with her hand covering her mouth down the process.
“You do sure remind me of one person who would be this so… Adamant.”
Suspicious rousing between us, this sure is troubling if she ever finds out. I am bound to fail from that moment although i barely lifted a finger on this land i surely am not failing on my first day am i—
“Lady Guuji, the publisher wishes to see you.”
We were interrupted by a maiden from her behind and she didn’t even bother to turn around and look or does she even care? Her eyes remains fixated on me never once leaving my mask and i have been standing here as if an unmoving boulder, gods just go and care for your damned novels and leave me be.
“Ah, a pity as much as I’d love to stay here and tease your rigid manner but my novel is at stake here~” she hums before turning to walk towards the maiden exchanging a few words. Now I’ll take this chance.
“May the fate lead that we shall meet again, who knows perhaps, fate too will lead you to her.” Miko said as i pass by her and i in turn didn’t utter a word to her puzzling claims. Sure enough i won’t be ever coming just to see your mischievous face.
Ever, you stinky fox.
