“Patient is sleeping right now.”

The nurse told me as I entered inside.

I took light steps to avoid disturbing him by even a little before sitting in the small space beside him.

“Arhaan?” I whispered lightly to check if he’s really asleep.

“Arhaan?” I whispered again dragging his name longer and I stopped expecting him to be in a very deep sleep.

I kept looking at him before a devilish smile took over me.

“It’s another level of fun to take advantage of your sleep.” I muttered before leaning down towards his lips only for him to move his head to side.

“That’s against the rules!” I exclaimed as he looked at me turning his head to me again.

“Which rules?” He asked before sitting up with his eyes away from me.

“You don’t know?” I asked holding his cheeks by my hand and squishing it before turning to me.

“I know.” He said removing my hand from his cheeks before turning to the side again. I had written in big words in the letter that he’s only allowed to wake up after I’m done kissing.

“Stop acting like an immature child, Arhaan!” I yelled angrily.

“Take a look at your actions before calling me immature.” He said calmly before grabbing a basket of grapes from the table beside him.

He’s been talking to me this way from yesterday and doesn’t even mind telling me why!

“I brought this.” I blurted taking the grapes basket from his lap. “But thi-” I cut him taking the single grape from his hands that was so close to his mouth.

“I brought this Shirt too.” I said pointing at the navy blue shirt he was wearing.

“Then take this off too.” He said eying at me. I stood up from the bed and stood in front of him angrily.

“But I don’t want others to enjoy your property.” He said eyeing at the nurse in front of us who was supposed to treat another patient but was looking at us with complete thrill.

“You’re telling me what’s the problem or not?” I asked after shooting her a glare and turning back to Arhaan.

“You don’t know?” He asked suddenly narrowing his eyes and I gulped remembering all the crimes I’ve did lately.

“No.”

He suddenly pulled me by my waist causing me to fall over his lap and looked carefully in my eyes. “You don’t know?”

I tried to get up but he again pulled me down tightly. “Arhaan, you will hurt your wounds. Let me get up.” I said in a serious tone, trying to get up only to be pushed down again by him.

“Nothing is gonna hurt me more than you not considering my words.” He said stopping me from my attempts to get up.

I understood what he was talking about. I did again go against his words but it doesn’t mean that I did not consider his words. What I did in the past was for him, what I’m doing and will be doing is gonna be for him.

“I jus-” He cut me by putting a finger over my lips. “I won’t be stopping you from going anywhere other than the places that aren’t good for you. But even if you’re going then you can at least let me know.” He said calmly and I looked down at my hands.

I went to meet Shaurya in the police station only for one confirmation that he also didn’t let me know.

“Did you informed me before taking that gunshot unnecessarily? Did you ask me before it?!” I complained hitting him slightly on his head before I again felt my vision going blurry because of the forming tears

“Ask you? I didn’t even know myself when I jumped in front of you. What I only know is I’ll always choose dying for you rather than living without you. So don’t call it unnecessary.” He said holding me by my head and looking carefully in my eyes.

He had the audacity to take the bullet for me and later ask me on the verge of fainting himself if I was alright.

The bullet did missed my heart, but it was no less death what I felt that time.

“Don’t talk more about it.” I said widening my eyes in attempt to contain the tears that were forcing again to come out.

“Let me get up ARHAAN!” I exclaimed.

“Would you yell at me the same way
if I die-.” I blowed air on my hand as it got warm after giving him another amazing light punch on his cheek.

“You’re beating me a lot nowadays.” He complained keeping a hand over his cheek as I finally got off from his lap.

“You deserve it.”

“You forgot I’m getting discharged today?, Didn’t you?” He asked taking a bite of an apple.

“I do remember, why?” I asked curiously before my phone started ringing but I ignored it, waiting for him to answer.

“Because I’ll be letting you know what-what you deserve, tonight.”

“Let me pick up the c-call.” I gulped before picking up as it was Aaliya’s call.

“Are you also at the hospital?” She asked me as soon as I picked up and I said yes.

“Okay, I’m also here with Papa. To pick him up.” She said in a dry voice and I crooked my brows before asking her. “Whom? Sidharth?” She agreed.

“Okay bye, I’ll call back later.” She said before ending the call and I wondered if she’s okay.

She was quite upset also when she discovered that Sidharth was also involved in it.

Reyansh and Neil’s parents took them back home because they were all tensed after they came to visit Arhaan the next day.

I don’t even remember much of the first 3-4 days because all I did was crying myself. Crying at my stupidity because of which I almost lost the person in front of me who is glaring at me right now as if will eat me alive.

“You named him again.” Arhaan said with narrowed eyes before I thought before realising who he is talking about.

“It was Aaliya who said first about
Sidha-” He suddenly cut me in the middle.

“Let that name slip off from your lips again and watch how I make you regret it in the worse way possible.” I just stared at him wondering how he manages to suddenly sound like a criminal.

“Are you threatening to hurt me?” I asked dramatically with a hand over my chest. “I’m threatening to hurt your best friend’s brother whom you have forgiven so easily.” He said rolling his neck.

“Easily? Then did you wanted me to act in the same heartless way you did?” I said remembering Aaliya’s father requesting Arhaan to forgive him and not file against Sidharth but he didn’t even considered letting him go.

He instead kept staring at her father as if he didn’t had any less hate for him either and I find no reason for that.

I couldn’t help but assure his father that Siddharth won’t be punished or anything if he stays away from us once his father said a word to me for him.

Plus, Arhaan had literally beaten him so brutally that he ended up with broken ribs.

“I am. Unless the one in front of me is you.” He muttered the last line lighter and I pinched his cheek to make him look at me.

“Get ready to go back home, Arhaan.” I said before pecking on his lips.

“So Mr. Singhaniya, How do you feel after seeing this world again after so long in those four walls of hospital?” I asked pointing the icecream in my hand near his mouth as a mike.

I nudged him to buy one for me, and glared him the moment he said he will also take it as it’s not good for his health currently. And I am a caring wife indeed, who could not control herself.

“This world or my world?” He asked turning his head to me and gazing intentionally.

The weird person he is. “You’ve got a personal world?” I asked imoving the icecream from his mouth before taking a bite of it.

“Yes. And that’s…only mine.” He said suddenly leaning closer to my face causing me to lean back.

“You won’t share it?” I asked in a low voice leaning back forward as he stood straight again, without having any idea about what he was talking about.

He chuckled holding my hand again and walking towards the car.

“Bed No. 9, ward 3A. I still regret leaving him alive, but I won’t leave any chance of regression if there is any next time for any person.” I felt his grip tightening around my wrist.

He threatens me to even let Sidharth’s name slip from my lips and himself remembers his bed number so carefully!

“Can you stop sounding like a serial killer now?” I blurted seating on the driving seat because he will need to stay under my special care for another month.

“Can you first let me drive?” He asked opening the door again. “Shut up!” I said eyeing him to the seat beside me.

“Deny one more time and you know what I’m gonna do.” He said and a mischievous smile was about to take over my face before I shook off my excitement.

“Arhaan it’s not good for you to drive no-Aah no!” I screamed as he slid his hands around my waist before he lifted me in his arms.

“Arhaan please understand! You will hurt your wounds and stitches. Arhaan! Put me dow-” I stopped as soon as he let out a “shhh” before gently sitting me on the passenger seat.

“Let out another word denying me from doing anything for you and I’ll roam around the entire the day carrying you in my arms.” He warned me and sat on the driving seat before starting the drive.

“You can still admire your husband without having to enlarge your eyes that much.” He said with a smirk looking at me from the corner of his eyes.

I’m still regretting not being able to say a word against him only because of his wounds. Or else, how much enjoyable this day could be.

“That’s called glaring.” I corrected him before he again chuckled softly and I again smiled even after being aware by the fact that the next line will be against me.

“But the love your eyes are showering at me is not letting me get scared.” He said winking at me before turning back to the driveway.

“Be careful or You may get drown in it.” I said rapidly blinking my eyes at him with a smile.

“There’s no more left to drown anymore as I’m already at the deepest.” He said I regretted opening my mouth because I can’t win anymore.

He’s phone started ringing but he kept driving so I picked up seeing it’s Reyansh.

“Where are you both?” I think it’s more Neil answering Reyansh’s calls more than Reyansh himself.

“Going back home, why?” I asked and heard Reyansh voice soon from there.

“I told you to let them know!” I crooked my brows and was about to answer before Arhaan chuckled as the phone was on speaker.

“Don’t tell me you both came to pick me.” He asked leaning to the phone. “It was Neil who tired me by calling me from 3 days to comeback to pick him up and didn’t even let me inform you that we were coming!” Reyansh said annoyingly.

“What’s wrong still? Come home we are also heading there ofcour-” Arhaan cut me. “We are not going home tonight, we’ll be coming tomorrow. You can still wait.” I stared at him wondering if he lied or we were really going somewhere else.

“Go your home to again start the meeting of how my company is working and how not with your father. I better stay in this hospital with Neil.” He said before again shouting. “Neil?! Where did he go now!” He muttered before ending the call.

I looked out the window only to discover he’s already stopped the car before focusing that we are at house. My house.

“What are we doing here?” I asked as we both stepped out of the car.

“As far as I think, I’m here for an interview.” He said looking at my house and I crooked my brows in confusion.

I again remembered our last exit from here that again made me nervous but I have met Papa already more than 5 times in the hospital when Arhaan was admitted.

Arhaan was about to walk inside when I stopped him by his wrist and he looked at me.

“Your parents might be waiting for you at home.” I told him, after all he is just  discharged today.

“I had already told maa that I’ll be coming home tomorrow. And about the second person in my parents..Neither does he cares about me nor do I.” He said tightening his jaw before forcing a smile over his face.

I nodded before holding his hands and walking towards the door. I rang the door bell before it opened soon.

“They are here!” Papa shouted looking at us both and I looked at Arhaan with crooked brows wondering whom he informed.

We both walked inside and Papa asked Arhaan “It took you both so late, it’s already dinner time!” I enjoy the fact that they both pair perfectly, I saw them both talking and laughing in the hospital too.

“I did get late fulfilling your daughter’s demands.” He sighed and I punched him lightly on the back.

I’m really beating him a lot nowadays I think.

But beating can also be a love language.

It is, mine.

“When did I demanded anything to yo-” A loud shout cut me in the middle. “Akshara! Is that a way to talk with your husband?” My eyes widened as I turned towards the sound and looked back at Papa.

“Nani? Is Nanu also here?” I asked in horror and he nodded before I turned to Arhaan. Who was looking at me with a big smile as if I can’t even touch his hair now.

“Your Nanu is waiting at the table, come quickly.” She said walking past me with a smile to Arhaan.

“Such a handsome boy.” She said cupping his face gently and I just smiled at the flattered smile Arhaan gave her.

Would anyone believe me when I’ll say it’s the same face which darkens when he threatens?

“Come.” She said walking forward and Arhaan followed her, smirking at me again.

“When did they come?” I whispered my father.

“Yesterday and are leaving tomorrow also. That is why I asked Arhaan to bring you here.” He said and I nodded as we both walked towards the dining area.

I saw as Arhaan was waiting for me near the chair and I sat down on one before he sat beside me.

“I forwarded a hand to your grandfather but he ignored me. How about his manners?” He whispered leaning closer to my ears as the servants served the food.

“Because you’re not at a business meeting. You were supposed to touch his feet. Now Sit straight.” I muttered with a smile as I noticed my grandpa’s not so gentle eyes hooked on Arhaan, sitting at right front of him.

“How is your heart now?” He asked Arhaan starting the meal. “Almost eased” He answered putting his hand over my thigh suddenly and I bit my lips leaning closer to the table to avoid any one’s eyes at it.

He nodded eating and I shook off my all nervousness realising he is my husband, not a boyfriend that I’m not even breathing as if there’s a chance they can reject him.

“How are your parents doing?” Nani asked Arhaan gently. “Great.” He answered taking a bite of his food.

“I talked with his father today.” As soon as my grandpa said it, I gulped without even chewing.

What if his father told him about everything and also added the fact that he hates me and has world’s biggest issue with me?

I glanced at Arhaan, who was eating comfortably without any tension.

“And I’ll have to add this thing that he’s a great man! He told me how perfectly my Akshara has fitted in the family and what more I want!” He said before smiling at Arhaan. I let out a relived sigh.

“I heard that…What was his name? Your friend’s brother?” He asked and I crooked my brows before realising who he is talking about.

“Sidh-Ah” I stopped and glared at Arhaan as he squished my thigh roughly. “What happened?” Papa asked me worriedly before I shook my head rapidly.

“What were you saying Nanu?” I asked with my mouth full, changing the subject.

“The guy..who used to drop you home with your best friend after your tuition.” I smiled like an idiot to avoid any expression forming over my face because of the grip of his hand around my thigh tightening.

“I-I can’t understand whom you are talking about..” I said cluelessly before my father exclaimed loudly. “He’s talking about Sidharth.” And I felt the hand sliding upper slowly with a softer grip now, that affected me more.

“Yes! Sidharth.” I guess I was looking like a pshycho when I smiled bigger to avoid myself from letting the horrified expression over my face because of the nearness of his hand now.

“What’s wrong with your face Akshara? Is there any problem?” Nani asked me with concern and I threw away the weird smile and shook my head in no.

“Even that poor Sidha-” I couldn’t stay in my senses if the hand moved anywhere now by even a little, causing me to stand up and shout. “Stop calling his name!”

“Akshara, calm down.” Arhaan said and I glared at him with gritted teeth as soon as I noticed the smirk over his face before he softly pulled me back down to the chair with my waist.

“I was just saying those men beat that poor boy also. Did you had a fight with him that you don’t like me calling his name?” Nanu asked me with concern again before I shook my head and stood up again.

“I’m full.” I muttered and walked to the washroom to wash off my hands.

I glanced at the time on my way to see it already 10 expected we are supposed to stay here tonight before walking towards my room.

“Poor Sidharth.” I heard Arhaan’s voice from my back as soon as I entered inside.

“Are you happy now that I got up even though I wasn’t full?!” I exclaimed turning to him and digging my index finger at his chest angrily before he suddenly winced and my eyes widened.

“Did it hurt?” I asked pulling him to me with concern. “No, it didn’t hur-” I cut him in the middle by holding the edge of his shirt.

“Don’t lie and let me have a look, I hit you hardly.” I said worrying if I didn’t hit him really hard.

“You don’t miss a chance of taking off my shirt.” He muttered as I started unbuttoning his shirt from bottom.

“I’ll just check if it’s alright and then you can..” I stopped as soon as I again broke his button. “Now I wonder if I’m too strong or your buttons are too weak.” I muttered unbuttoning the last button and pulling his arms out of it also.

“Akshara beta, I wanted to talk with you both….”

My soul left my body as my eyes fell on my grandpa standing at the doorstep, fixing his glasses before he saw us clearly and walked back with tightened jaw.

“Who leaves the door wide open?!” I exclaimed looking at Arhaan with my hand over my forehead.

“Did I knew you’d be ready here to take off my clothes?” I stood there quietly with widened eyes wondering it’s not really going to be hard to avoid my grandparents for the rest of my life. Absolutely not!

My eyes fell back on his chest and the dressed part with band aids and my mind again took me back to the time when he was shot.

“It’s completely alright. Look!” He said looking at it carefully before I slightly ran my fingers over it.

This would be now in my chest only if it wasn’t him. Or maybe.. I wouldn’t be actually alive.

I suddenly felt a pair of lips over mine before I was pulled out of my thoughts. “Did you liked this way of me stopping you from overthinking?” He asked walking to the door and kicking it shut.

“I’m hungry!” I exclaimed as everyone enjoyed their food but I was the one who was dying out of nervousness for nothing.

“Don’t be that horny Akshara! I don’t want your old grandparents to hear you scre-” I put my hand over his unfiltered mouth. “My stomach is empty!” I told him.

“If that’s so then let’s not use protect-” I again pressed my hand over his mouth to stop him again. “Fine! I’ll be sleeping hungry tonight.” I said removing my hand from his mouth.

“I’ll bring something for you.” He said and walked out before I felt as if fainting out of embarrassment because his shirt was still on the floor.

I looked around my room and wondered what was the thing missing before I realised it.

There are childhood pictures of female lead’s hanged over the walls in the most of the movies but it has to be me also who didn’t liked hanging the pictures on my wall.

I was just looking around when my phone started ringing and my eyes widened as soon as I saw the caller Id and picked up without wasting a second.

“Hello?” She asked from there.

“Hello, It’s me, Akshara.” I said and she took a second before shouting loudly confirming it’s the same person.

“Akshara! I missed you a lot my child!” She said as Arhaan came back with a bowl in his hands. “Your father said you enjoy noodles.”The tasty smell entered my nostrils.

“Are you doing alright?” She asked as Arhaan silently sat beside me on the bed without asking who it is.

“I’m doing alright Aunty, I wanted to ask you something important.” I said putting the call on speaker and keeping it down on the bed.

She asked what it is before I asked carefully. “5 years ago, Vidyut Sharma got some reports from you. Do you remember what reports it were?” I asked and saw as Arhaan glanced at me before looking back at the phone curiously again. I’ve told him everything long ago.

“Vidyut…I don’t remember Akshara, it’s been long since then.” She said and I held the phone back in my hand again.

“Aunty please try to remember…You talked about some risks you took for him. I ran at late night to hand him the reports.” I tried to remind her as much as possible.

“You received his reports from some another doctor..” I said pressuring my mind to remember his name.

“It was…..” Arhaan also looked at me desperately but I couldn’t remember.

“I can’t remember..” I muttered. “Was it dr. Tiwari?” She asked and my eyes lit before I shouted “Yes!”

“I have his contact, it’s late now so I’ll ask him tomorrow if he has any records of any Vidyut Sharma.” She said and I nodded before ending the call.

“Who was she?” He asked me lying on a side of bed.

“Dr. Sharda, she was my mother’s friend.” I said lying down but Arhaan again sat up.

“The one with curly hairs?” I nodded sitting up also.

“You know her?”
