Wanda’s POV
I look away from my idiot brother and watch as Y/N walks away to go into Tony’s house. I sigh in slight frustration before my eyes meet with those of my twin brother. “Pietro, I swear that you have the worst timing ever sometimes! The conversation that you interrupted was extremely important and I don’t know when or if I’ll get to talk about it with her again.” I say to him as my frustration slowly turns into defeat and put my head in my hands.
“Hey, look at me. I’m sorry for interrupting your guys’ conversation. If I would’ve known how important it was then I swear I wouldn’t have interrupted.” I look at him and see that he genuinely means what he is saying and sigh before nodding at him. “What were you guys even talking about that has you getting this worked up?” His question causes me to look away as my face grows hot under his scrutinizing gaze.
“Well… umm I sort of blew up on her about Carol. While we were in the car, she had this lovestruck look on her face, so I tried asking her about it and she said that she was just spacing out. She ended up telling me that she was into someone, and I jumped the gun and accused her of thinking about Danvers. Then I basically said that she was only hanging out with Carol because she likes her.”
“She told me that she had never said that she was thinking of the person and that she only hangs out with Carol to be nice. I got embarrassed that I had jumped to conclusions and blown up on her. I ended up asking who it was she liked but then you interrupted her before she could say anything.” I quickly recount to Pietro, and he remains silent for a minute before he looks at me with a glint in his eyes that I can’t quite identify.
“Sestra, I love you, but you can be so oblivious sometimes that it’s almost laughable.” I scowl at him as I open my mouth to say something but close it as he continues “you do realize that Y/N is very much into you right?” I shake my head at him as I sit down on the steps and sigh. There’s no way that she even remotely feels the same way about me as I feel about her.
“Piet, there’s no way that she returns my feelings. We’ve been friends for ages and if she liked me back something would’ve happened by now. Besides, despite what she says, I think she might actually be into Danvers as much as I hate to admit it. You didn’t see the way that she acted today when Danvers kissed her cheek, she just stood there frozen and watched her walk away.” The dejection in my voice is very obvious to my brother as I see his face soften before he sits down with me.
“Wanda, I didn’t have to be there to know how Y/N feels about you or how she feels about Carol. I know she didn’t give you a straight answer, but I think she means it when she says that she’s only being friendly toward Carol. You don’t see the way that she looks at you sestra, but everyone else does and we can all tell that she likes you back. Besides, there’s no competition between you and Carol. You are clearly in a league of your own and Carol can’t even touch you!”
He playfully bumps my shoulder as he tries to hype me up and I smile back at him before bumping his shoulder in return. “You really think that I have a chance with her and that she likes me back?” He nods his head aggressively making me laugh at him and he sends me a cheeky grin before he says, “I don’t think so, I know you have a chance with her!”
“Hey, guys! You can come in any minute now! The rest of us are waiting for you!” We both look over and see you standing at the door while sending us a small smirk. I simply stick my tongue out at you in response which makes you giggle and shake your head at my antics before heading back inside. I smile as I look back at Pietro and we both stand up, but before he can head back inside, I rush toward him and hug him.
He makes sure to squeeze me tight as he returns the hug and I whisper a small thank you making him smile at me in return. We both head in your direction and finally enter the house. When we finally arrive in the game room all of the boys are either playing video games, playing pool, or simply just hanging around. “Alright, idiots gather around. We all have important things to discuss, and I’d like to get it done quickly so I can go home.” You shout out to the boys while clapping your hands together which makes Pietro and I simply shake our heads at your behavior.
“Well, well, well. If it isn’t Fruit Loops and Maxipad, what brings you ladies to my humble abode?” I roll my eyes at Tony and then watch as you punch his arm making me giggle and you shoot me a small grin. “I already told you not to call me that Stark. And don’t ever call Wanda Maxipad again or I swear I’ll punch you for real.” I look over at you in surprise and notice you scowling over at Tony as you threaten him.
“Thanks for defending my honor Y/N/N,” I playfully say to Y/N making her look over sheepishly at me before chuckling and addressing the boys again. “Anyways, the girls and I got together to make plans since spring break is around the corner. We decided that we all wanted to take a trip together since it was our last break together before graduation. And dear Wanda here kindly decided to invite all of you idiots as well.” You say to the boys which makes them all cheer out loud all at once and Pietro hugs me tightly making me laugh.
Steve shoots us both a grateful smile before he assumes a thoughtful expression and asks, “Well thanks for the invite girls, but where exactly did you guys want to go?” All of the boys nod in agreement with Steve as they settle down and look between the two of us as they wait for our response. I look over at you while mentally asking if I can answer and you simply look at me with a smile and nod your head in affirmative.
“Well Y/N’s family has a private villa in Mexico and she offered for us to go there if we wanted and we all said yes. So please pack accordingly guys.” I plead to the boys after making them aware of our destination making them all nod at me. “Ok quick question, how are we all going to get there?” Clint asks us all. Before any of us can respond we all hear the door opening making us look over to see Tony’s brother Vision entering the room.
“Hey Tony, do you know- oh! I’m sorry I didn’t realize that you had company over at the moment.” Vision says as he takes us all in before he looks over at me and grins widely at me making me shoot him a small smile in return. “Oh! Hello Wanda, I wasn’t aware that you’d be over or else I would’ve come to hang out with you all.” He says to me in a warm tone as he sends me a flirtatious grin making me giggle in response.
I glance over at Y/N when I hear a quiet scoff come from her direction and notice her glaring at Vision. Her eyes snap over towards me once she notices my gaze on her and gives me an intense look before turning away from me with a clenched jaw. “Can we get back on topic and finish discussing the trip so that I can get home?” Y/N grumbles out in an angry voice making everyone look over at her in surprise. “Oh! It seems I’ve interrupted all of you, my apologies. I’ll just leave you all to it then,” Vision states apologetically and turns to leave the room.
“Actually Vis, we could use your input on something!” Tony says to his brother making him turn back around and nod to us pensively. Tony grins before continuing. “So, we’re planning this trip to Mexico for spring break, and we weren’t sure of our mode of transportation. Do you have any helpful ideas?” Vision seems to think for a moment before nodding his head and saying “you could always ask mom and dad if you guys could use the private jet. It should have enough room for all of you.”
Tony groans at Vision’s response and puts his head in his hands for a moment as he seems to realize something. “You know that they don’t trust me with the jet since last time Vision. They’ll never let me- wait a minute! They wouldn’t have an issue with it if you came with us! They trust you so what do you say, wanna come with us to Mexico?!” Vision looks surprised for a moment before looking over at the rest of us and saying, “well I wouldn’t want to impose on your trip with your friends Tony.”
Tony chuckles lightly before going over to put his hand on Vision’s shoulder as he says “No really, it’s cool. The guys don’t mind, right guys?” Tony looks over at us all, but Pietro decides to chime in before we can give a response. “Actually Tony, it’s not even up to us. Technically it’s Y/N’s family villa so you should be asking her.” My twin says matter of factly which makes Tony look over at him and they both look at each other with a glint in their eyes.
I wonder what that was about? Maybe I’ll ask Pietro about it later. I think to myself as I make a mental note to talk to Pietro later. I notice everyone looking over at Y/N and I glance at her. I send her a small smile that she does not return making me confused. “Sure. I have no issue with it,” she responds to the group with a forced smile that only I seem to notice before everyone agrees to the plans. Vision approaches me making me look over and send him a small smile.
“I hope that perhaps we might be able to spend some time alone together while on this trip Wanda.” He says in a suggestive tone catching me off guard. I awkwardly nod while giving him a tight smile. I hear a scoff and see Y/N stomping out of the room making me chase after her while yelling goodbye to the others. “Y/N! Hey! Wait up!” I yell after her as I run to catch up with her and grab her wrist when she doesn’t slow down.
She turns around and is fuming as she asks, “What do you want Wanda?” Her tone surprises me since I wasn’t aware that I had done something to make her upset. “Why are you leaving? I thought that I was going to give you a ride home?” I ask her quietly in a cautious manner to not upset her further. “Well, you seemed pretty busy in there talking to your boyfriend. So, I figured I’d just walk home to not disturb you.” She spits out in a venomous tone confusing me even further as well as irritating me in turn as well.
“What? Boyfriend? What are you even talking about?!” I exclaim in an exasperated voice as my Sokovian accent slips out more due to my irritation. “You know what I’m talking about! You and Vision. I didn’t want to interrupt you guys while you were making plans to hang out on our trip.” You scoff and roll your eyes and stomp outside leaving me stunned for a second. Why is she so mad that Vision wants to hang out? Is she… is she jealous? I can’t help but grin slightly at the thought that you might be jealous.
I quickly run to catch up with Y/N before she gets too far and I stop in front of her making her stop. She groans and lightly tugs on her hair before saying “What do you want Wanda?!” I giggle at her misplaced anger which makes her glare at me. “Vision isn’t my boyfriend. Now come on I promised you a ride home.” I playfully say while tugging her back to my car as she huffs slightly, and playfully rolls her eyes at me as she gets in the car. Maybe I have a shot after all I think to myself with a smile as I start the car and drive off.
