Transmigrated Into A Waste Who Married The Villain. Chapter 4: Threat ✨

The people present looked at her in astonishment.

“Are the elders not going to act?” Qu Weiyin asked, supporting Luo Jinxiao with one hand on her lower back. She took a step back, distancing herself from Luo Jinxiao, and raised her eyes to scrutinize the group in front of her.

“Oh, right.” Elder He slapped his forehead, quickly stepping forward and raising two fingers in front of his eyes.

A thin strand of light spread from his fingertips, twisting delicately as it touched Luo Jinxiao’s temples.

Luo Jinxiao could barely hear what they were saying; her ears buzzed as if thousands of bees were swarming around her. She gritted her teeth, forcing herself to remain still, fearful of drawing suspicion.

“Um…” After what felt like an eternity, Elder He finally withdrew his spiritual energy and turned to Qu Chengzhou, his eyes wide with astonishment.

Seeing his expression, Qu Chengzhou furrowed his brows and decided to try it for himself, his reaction even more pronounced than Elder He’s.

He lowered his hand, gazing at Luo Jinxiao, his emotions a tangled mix—disappointment intertwined with fervent enthusiasm.

“When did she develop the celestial vein? Although the spiritual energy is incredibly weak, it is, after all, the vein of ice,” Elder He whispered in Qu Chengzhou’s ear.

Qu Chengzhou nodded, but as he glanced at Qu Weiyin, her icy gaze sent him retreating.

“Very well, since it is so, let it be as you wish,” Qu Chengzhou suddenly declared, his eyes once again deeply examining Luo Jinxiao, as though he were looking at prey. With that, he flicked his sleeve and strode out decisively.

Qu Chengzhou compromised so easily that his followers were left puzzled. After exchanging confused glances, they hurriedly followed him out, leaving only Luo Jinxiao and Qu Weiyin in the room.

“Hey, I’m going to let go now,” Qu Weiyin said hastily, looking at Luo Jinxiao with displeasure.

“It’s troublesome; help me over to the bed,” Luo Jinxiao gritted her teeth and murmured vaguely.

At that moment, her body felt like a storm was raging within, as if two streams of spiritual energy were locked in a fierce battle, threatening to annihilate each other in a devastating clash.

“I… help you?” Qu Weiyin frowned.

Forget it; the female demoness would never stoop to help her. Luo Jinxiao shook her head and attempted to shuffle unsteadily toward the interior of the room. But just a few steps in, her legs gave way, and she nearly collapsed to her knees.

At that moment, the same hand that had previously grabbed her arm caught her again from behind. Turning around, she met Qu Weiyin’s disdainful expression, as if she were holding something foul.

“Stop dawdling,” Qu Weiyin said coldly, her brows almost knitting together in frustration.

Luo Jinxiao laughed softly, thinking that she didn’t seem so terrifying after all.

Once she finally made it to the bed, she settled down and sat cross-legged, attempting to channel the spiritual energy within her. The minuscule energy responded to her control, gradually shifting and slowly pushing back the intruding forces bit by bit.

As the pain diminished, she seized the opportunity to reflect on her current situation. It felt as if she had suddenly acquired a celestial vein, one that was entirely different from her original vein.

Did this body originally possess it, or had her arrival awakened it?

Having a celestial vein was certainly a boon, but unfortunately, this vein was far too weak and unworthy. She needed to find a way to strengthen it, at least to restore her original state quickly. Otherwise, in this world, she would remain at the mercy of others.

Just as she opened her eyes, she was abruptly yanked by her collar and pulled down from the bed, thrown against the corner of the wall.

“It’s all over; now get lost,” Qu Weiyin ordered.

Luo Jinxiao barely managed to steady herself. She bit her lip, fighting the urge to retaliate, fully aware that she couldn’t win this confrontation.

“Wait,” Qu Weiyin spoke again, slowly approaching Luo Jinxiao’s side with a blank expression. Though they were of similar height, an overwhelming pressure loomed over Luo Jinxiao, like Mount Tai bearing down upon her.

“Thanks to your blood this time, I will let you go today. But you must promise that you will never appear before me again; otherwise, I’ll twist your neck on the spot.”

As Qu Weiyin spoke, her voice carried an ethereal quality that sent chills down Luo Jinxiao’s spine.

Luo Jinxiao shivered and nodded without saying a word, turning on her heel and running away, quickly disappearing into the night.

Watching her flee for her life, Qu Weiyin’s lips softened for a moment, but soon her expression returned to normal. She reached up to touch her face, her gaze softening, revealing a sense of exhaustion.

She had returned; it felt as if she had lived long enough, but with her great vendetta still unavenged, perhaps this was a chance granted by heaven.

The same scene, the same scent—everything appeared unchanged. Yet it was merely a case of old surroundings inhabited by new faces, save for that little waste from earlier.

In this life, it seemed she was somewhat different.

But after all, she was merely an inconsequential person; one’s life and death were not worth fretting over. There were more pressing matters at hand, and perhaps many fates could be altered in the future.

As the night wind swept in through the window, the bright full moon hung high in the sky, illuminating the room far more than the flickering candlelight. Qu Weiyin slowly placed her hand on her lips and let out a deep sigh.

Meanwhile, Luo Jinxiao ran wildly, soon escaping the confines of the residence. She paused, panting heavily, in the middle of the deserted street. Only then did she turn around and make a few fierce gestures toward the empty space behind her.

The female demoness truly was a fearsome presence, quick to threaten with violence. She had no hope for revenge; all she wished for was to never see her again.

After venting her frustration, she gazed at the empty street, succumbing to a heavy silence.

In her previous life, she had practiced day and night, earning the title of genius upon entering the Wuhui Sect. However, just as she was on the brink of realizing her grand ambitions, she found herself in a new body in a different era, now rendered a waste.

Fate truly played cruel tricks on her.

Fortunately, Luo Jinxiao had always been strong-willed. After letting out three deep sighs, she began to contemplate her current situation, pondering where her true home might be.

After a moment of reflection, having come up empty-handed, she finally raised her gaze and found a plaque before her displaying two prominent characters: Luo Mansion.

She knocked on the door, feeling quite nervous. After all, she knew nothing about the experiences of this body and merely hoped she wouldn’t be mistaken for a monster.

After a long wait, the door creaked open, revealing a dark figure leaning outward. Upon recognizing Luo Jinxiao, the servant exclaimed in surprise, “Miss? Why are you back tonight?”

A rush of relief flooded through Luo Jinxiao; it seemed she hadn’t knocked on the wrong door after all. After a brief hesitation, she asked, “Where is everyone in the house?”

“The master and madam have already gone to bed,” the servant replied.

Luo Jinxiao nodded, peering through the crack of the door. Inside lay shrouded in darkness, devoid of any festive atmosphere, as if the wedding had been meant for no one in their family.

“Open the door and let me in,” Luo Jinxiao said quietly.

At her words, the servant came back to his senses and hurriedly opened the door. Luo Jinxiao stepped over the threshold and found the mansion to be exceedingly plain. It was vastly different from her previous life’s family estate; it seemed that the Luo family was now a shadow of its former self, no longer the renowned cultivation family they once were.

It was quite a marvelous coincidence that two thousand years ago, the Luo family had someone who looked exactly like her, sharing the same stature, appearance, and even name.

The servant led Luo Jinxiao back to her room and said, “Miss, please rest first. I will report this matter to the master and madam once they wake up tomorrow.”

Luo Jinxiao silently nodded. After the servant left, she finally breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed onto the bed, feeling as if her body might fall apart.

The room was very simple, and having grown accustomed to her previous life, she felt some discomfort. There were very few items belonging to a young lady in the room, and even those were rather rudimentary. Compared to her former residence, it felt out of place; it appeared that this body had not lived well here.

Perhaps she was too tired; she didn’t think much about it and soon closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep.

The following morning, she was jolted awake by loud banging on the door. Before she could even get out of bed, an angry shout pierced through the air.

Luo Jinxiao shivered, sensing it was an instinctive reaction from this body.

Moments later, a group of people rushed in. Luo Jinxiao hurriedly rolled out of bed, furrowing her brows as she stood in place, feeling quite displeased.

How could they barge into a woman’s private chamber like this? It was utterly inappropriate!

“Luo Jinxiao! How dare you refuse the engagement on your own!” a man shouted furiously, pointing at her, his lips trembling with rage. “Do you know what a rare opportunity this is for the Luo family?”

Luo Jinxiao rolled her eyes and shifted her gaze to the people behind him. A coldly beautiful woman with downcast eyes avoided her gaze, while a boy and girl who appeared to be no more than teenagers wore expressions of palpable resentment.

“You’re nothing but a waste without a celestial vein! If you would just agree to Elder Qu, we could all enter the Wuhui Sect. But your sudden change of heart is ruining everything for us; you’re nothing but a traitor to the Luo family!” the girl exclaimed, her voice thick with tears. The intensity of her gaze suggested she wanted to devour Luo Jinxiao whole.

Luo Jinxiao frowned at her, perplexed. What is wrong with these people? She had risked her life to marry Qu Weiyin, only to serve as a mere stepping stone for someone else’s rise?

How could they have the audacity to be angry? Their shamelessness was off the charts.

“Luo Mei,” the beautiful woman spoke, casting a cold glance at the girl. Immediately, the girl fell silent, unable to say anything, but she continued to glare at Luo Jinxiao.

“Jinxiao, you’ve disappointed your mother too much,” the beautiful woman said, shaking her head slightly.

“You need to go back and find Elder Qu right now!” the man commanded, lowering his hand as he scolded, “You must not be so headstrong.”

At this, Luo Jinxiao felt a surge of rage and began to laugh mockingly. It was the first time she had encountered parents who treated their daughter like a mere bargaining chip simply because she lacked a celestial vein.

“What if I refuse?” Luo Jinxiao replied, fixing her dark eyes on the man. Though her slender figure appeared frail, she stood tall and unafraid.

“You rebellious daughter!” The man was thoroughly enraged by her response. He charged at her, raising his hand to strike. Luo Jinxiao’s heart raced as she quickly turned to dodge.

Missed in his fury, the man appeared momentarily confused. A wave of rage washed over him, rendering him nearly speechless.

“Luo Jinxiao!” he ground out through clenched teeth. Suddenly, he began to channel his energy, and a faint blue glow erupted from his palm, startling everyone in the room.

Luo Jinxiao hastily raised her hands to defend herself, forcing out the little spiritual energy she possessed. With a swift motion, she gathered it in her palm, ready to counter the man’s attack.

She felt a searing pain in her internal organs, almost bringing her to cough up blood, but she managed to stay on her feet. Meanwhile, the man’s energy was intercepted and surprisingly rebounded, striking him directly in the face.

He staggered backward, crashing to the ground and landing at the feet of the beautiful woman.

In that instant, chaos erupted in the room, gasps of shock and disbelief filling the air.

“What a rebellious daughter, daring to defy your own father…” the man exclaimed, clumsily picking himself up from the floor. “Summon everyone from the Luo family and deal with her according to family law!”

Just at that moment, the door was suddenly pushed open again, and the previous servant stumbled in, wide-eyed and speechless. He stammered, “Master, the Wuhui Sect sent an invitation just now, saying that the young lady is to go up the mountain tomorrow to join the Wuhui Sect!”
