Transmigrated Into A Waste Who Married The Villain. Chapter 59: A Gentle Kiss

A+ A-

Luo Jinxiao’s mind buzzed, completely taken aback. She instinctively searched through her surroundings but found no handkerchief to offer.

Finally, in a bold move, she reached out and gently brushed away Qu Weiyin’s tears with her fingers, wiping away the moisture.

“Master Uncle…” Luo Jinxiao said softly, feeling a piercing pain in her heart. She wanted to comfort Qu Weiyin but didn’t know how.

With just this one promise, she had managed to make the perpetually cold Qu Weiyin put away her defenses and melt like ice under the warmth of spring.

Qu Weiyin raised her gaze, her eyes glistening with moisture as they locked onto Luo Jinxiao’s. There seemed to be unending words she wished to say, but they ultimately transformed into a sigh.

Then, unexpectedly, she stepped forward, opened her arms, and enveloped Luo Jinxiao in a hug. The touch of her soft arms wrapped around Luo Jinxiao’s shoulders caused her to tense up immediately.

Qu Weiyin tilted her head slightly, resting her chin on Luo Jinxiao’s shoulder. The warmth of her breath brushed against Luo Jinxiao’s ear, causing goosebumps to rise all over her body.

This was the first time Qu Weiyin had taken the initiative to embrace someone.

However, before Luo Jinxiao could raise her stiff arms in return, Qu Weiyin released her. She coughed lightly and lowered her head, masking the emotions swirling in her eyes. That brief embrace left her dizzy, and the sweet fragrance emanating from the girl made her want to hold her even tighter.

Only in this girl could she feel the enduring love that had vanished from her life for a thousand years.

She even found herself wishing to abandon everything and stay by her side, content with just watching her every day.

But ultimately, she couldn’t.

Luo Jinxiao wasn’t faring much better either; her body remained tense, and everywhere she had touched Qu Weiyin still retained the sensation of soft clouds. It was coupled with the lingering echoes of thunder and lightning.

At that moment, Qu Weiyin seemed to emit a captivating charm in Luo Jinxiao’s eyes. Her reddened eyes, lowered lashes, and glistening lips stirred a fluttering feeling in Luo Jinxiao’s heart.

Luo Jinxiao found herself dazed, wondering what was happening to her.

“You should go back,” she suggested, but quickly backtracked. “Never mind; given the chaos in No Regrets Sect, you’d likely find no peace if you left.”

“Stay here and rest for now,” Qu Weiyin said, gently pushing her down onto the bed.

“But I’m not tired! Master Uncle, if there’s something you need to do, I can help you,” Luo Jinxiao protested, attempting to rise but finding Qu Weiyin’s hand firmly pressing down on her shoulder, immobilizing her.

“Be obedient,” Qu Weiyin said, each word firm and resolute.

Under Qu Weiyin’s reproachful gaze, Luo Jinxiao couldn’t help but relent, relaxing her body and lying back on the bed.

The jade pillow beneath her head seemed to possess a kind of magic, releasing a comforting fragrance. Before long, Luo Jinxiao began to feel drowsy, and in her hazy state, she thought she saw Qu Weiyin leaning down.

Delicate fingers brushed against her cheek, their touch reminiscent of a gentle spring breeze—so tender that it felt unlike Qu Weiyin.

A sense of foreboding stirred in Luo Jinxiao’s subconscious. She wanted to awaken, but her consciousness felt like it was slipping beyond her control. Her vision grew foggy, and her mind trembled with disorientation.

Ultimately, everything fell silent, and she succumbed to a deep slumber.

Qu Weiyin looked at Luo Jinxiao with a tender gaze, studying her face in silence.

In this lifetime, everything had fallen within her contemplation, yet this child—bursting in from nowhere—had become her greatest concern.

Her eyes greedily took in every detail, from Luo Jinxiao’s brows to her fingertips, reluctant to look away. Finally, she placed her hand in Luo Jinxiao’s palm.

Leaning down, Qu Weiyin pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead, as if to lull her to sleep. Only she herself knew how deep that kiss held her emotions.

She hoped that when Luo Jinxiao awoke, her life would be filled with joy and endless possibilities.

In that moment, Qu Weiyin ceased to exist in the world.

Qu Weiyin methodically wiped down the Crescent Moon Star Sword for what she thought would be the final time. In truth, the divine sword did not require polishing, but it was a habit she had maintained for thousands of years.

The sword spirit, understanding Qu Weiyin’s intentions, sat quietly beside her, saying nothing.

“If I die, leave the Crescent Moon Star Sword to her,” Qu Weiyin said softly as she wiped, but then shook her head. “Never mind, she already possesses a divine sword. It’s better to bury this sword at the base of No Regrets Mountain; you will find a new master.”

The sword spirit wore a distressed expression, anxiously fiddling with its own feet. “Can’t you just not go?”

Qu Weiyin lifted her phoenix eyes slightly, and the sword spirit fell silent. Indeed, the deep-seated blood feud was not something one could easily forsake.

Having been granted the chance to live through this period once more was a tremendous boon from the heavens for her, a demon.

“Soon, No Regrets Sect is bound to descend into chaos. How can a single Lièyáng Hall contain someone who cultivates the Mingzhen Diagram?”

“However, all the sect leaders of the major factions are here now. What if they can combine their strength to deal with him?” the sword spirit asked, frowning.

Qu Weiyin shook her head and scoffed lightly. “Do you think they would risk their lives to confront him? Qu Chengzhou only poses a threat to No Regrets Sect. The martial world has fragmented for many years; the vast majority of them will only stand by and watch.”

Before her words could even settle, a thunderous sound erupted from afar, as if something had exploded, shaking the ground beneath. The river below splashed up clouds of mist, spraying outward in all directions.

“They’ve come,” Qu Weiyin noted, and with that, the Crescent Moon Star Sword danced in her hand, ready for action.

By the time Qu Weiyin arrived at Lièyáng Hall, chaos reigned with demons rampaging everywhere. These were monsters that had been imprisoned for hundreds of years, now unleashed all at once.

Everywhere, disciples of No Regrets Sect fought to vanquish the demons, swords and blades flashing. Qu Weiyin raised her hand, crushing a demon that attempted to charge at her into fine powder. She then pulled Chang Siyu out from the swarm of battling figures.

“Qu, Qu Master Uncle?” Chang Siyu stammered, drenched in sweat, his clothes disheveled and astonished.

“Inform everyone to use the Demon Suppression Array! We need to contain them in one place; we can’t keep killing them forever,” Qu Weiyin instructed quickly.

Without waiting for Chang Siyu’s reply, she flicked her sleeve and charged toward the area thick with demonic energy. There, black mist swirled, and dead leaves and withered grass were swept away by the relentless winds, making it hard to keep one’s eyes open.

A few elders stood in the vicinity, attempting to work together to subdue Qu Chengzhou, yet their efforts were yielding little result, at most managing to corner him without escape.

Qu Chengzhou was enveloped in dark energy, grinning through gritted teeth. Despite facing multiple elders, he remained utterly at ease.

“Elder Qu, you need to stop!” Elder He couldn’t help but shout.

“Shut up!” Qu Chengzhou retorted sharply, his face contorted with rage. With a roar, the viscous dark energy burst forth from his body, sending several of the less powerful elders flying away.

Only Elder He and Elder Liu remained, struggling against the overwhelming force.

Elder Liu fared a bit better than Elder He; his expression was even darker now, and he remained silent as immense spiritual energy surged from his body, momentarily forcing Qu Chengzhou to step back a few paces.

“Liu Changxu, you have always looked down on me, and now you finally have the chance to kill me—you must be ecstatic!” Qu Chengzhou sneered, veins bulging on his forehead as he laughed loudly.

Elder Liu coldly responded, “The facts have proven that I did not misjudge you. A scumbag like you, who climbed to power through heretical means and deceit, regardless of how much you obtain, remains a disgrace!”

The hatred in Qu Chengzhou’s eyes intensified. He summoned his sword, and at once, thick clouds of smoke erupted from behind him, resembling a great beast looming over his back.

Elder Liu furrowed his brows tightly. Uncertain of what to do, he murmured a spell, and his large yellow dog appeared at his side. After letting out a fierce growl, it quickly swelled in size, transforming into a massive beast.

The giant beast drooled, its eyes wide open, dispersing the thick smoke behind Qu Chengzhou.

Qu Chengzhou suddenly started laughing. With a flick of his sword, the smoke transformed into sharp blades. Elder He struggled to hold his ground but continued to retreat, nearly losing consciousness as he did so. Soon, only Elder Liu remained standing.

“You can’t stop me!” Qu Chengzhou roared, charging towards Elder Liu, but he was halted by a red figure that stood in his path. A wave of sword energy mixed with arcs of lightning struck towards his face, nearly shaving off his nose.

“What arrogance,” Qu Weiyin said, her red robe billowing. Her eyes were bloodshot, and the Crescent Moon Star Sword emitted a rare crimson glow, humming in her hand.

“Qu Weiyin,” Qu Chengzhou acknowledged, casting a meaningful look at her.

“Our feud should finally be settled,” Qu Weiyin declared, raising an eyebrow. The determination in her gaze was palpable, and a smile played at the corners of her lips, momentarily resembling the imposing figure of the demon lord from her previous life.

“Do you really think you can defeat me at only the Tribulation Stage? How naïve. You’re just like your high-minded father. You’ll end up dead before my eyes, begging me not to kill you while you’re on your knees!” Qu Chengzhou snarled with a twisted grin, his voice echoing in Qu Weiyin’s ears.

Qu Weiyin felt the demonic energy within her swirling restlessly, and this time she didn’t hold it back, allowing it to rampage freely.

“You’ve said that to me before, Qu Chengzhou,” Qu Weiyin replied, her phoenix eyes locking onto him, radiating an unmistakable malice.

With a swing of her sword, she advanced toward him, her flowing robes ablaze with fire and shimmering with golden light, startling Qu Chengzhou into a momentary retreat. Simultaneously, more and more demons poured in through the entrance, and the disciples were losing control, screams ringing out from all directions.

“Elder Liu, go help them! They’re just disciples, and they can’t handle so many demons,” Qu Weiyin commanded sharply, forcing Elder Liu out of the thick mist.

Elder Liu glanced at the panicking disciples scattered throughout the hall, then looked at Qu Weiyin, letting out a heavy sigh before resolutely turning away.

Meanwhile, in Cold Cloud Pavilion, Luo Jinxiao found herself trapped in a dream—a dream from her previous life, where flames of war raged all around her, and she was on the brink of death. Before her bloomed a brilliant, scarlet hibiscus flower.

The breathtakingly beautiful woman stood barefoot on the ground, her eyes wide as she gazed upward at the heavens, filled with discontent.

Luo Jinxiao instinctively sensed that something was wrong, but her body felt as though it had been weighed down by fatigue for days, making it impossible to awaken.

She desperately attempted to open her eyes, and finally, with a forceful bite on her tongue, clarity returned, leaving her mouth flooded with blood.

Suddenly, Luo Jinxiao sat up, spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood. Her eyes widened as she surveyed her surroundings, and her heart sank when she realized Qu Weiyin was missing. Panic gripped her as she stumbled toward the door, only to find that the once-peaceful No Regrets Sect was now in utter chaos.

Without a second thought for her fear, Luo Jinxiao leapt out, summoning her sword as she fell from the cliff, racing toward the billowing black mist ahead.

The cold wind whipped against her, causing her head to throb. She ignored all pain, focused solely on speeding up, terrified that when she arrived, she might find nothing but lifeless bodies.

Fortunately, from high above, she spotted a flash of red clothing amidst the turmoil, flickering above the flames that raged all around—grand and imposing.

Luo Jinxiao fell like a stone, kicking up a cloud of dust as she landed next to Qu Weiyin, who held the divine sword. The silver light pierced through Qu Chengzhou’s dark energy.

“What are you doing here, Luo Jinxiao?” Qu Weiyin exclaimed, her eyes widening as she grabbed Luo Jinxiao’s arm, demanding sharply.

She had vastly underestimated Luo Jinxiao’s determination, which had somehow roused her from her stupor.

“Good, good! Since you’re here, let’s do this together!” Qu Chengzhou declared with a bloodthirsty grin, suddenly raising his arms to the sky in a seemingly mad display.

Qu Weiyin shot one last deep look at Luo Jinxiao before abruptly pushing her aside. In an instant, a solid barrier of golden spiritual energy enveloped Luo Jinxiao, protecting her entirely but also binding her in place, making it impossible for her to escape.
