Transmigrated Into A Waste Who Married The Villain. Chapter 84: Reunion

A+ A-

The sky blazed with fiery red, as if the world itself were on the brink of collapse. Qu Weiyin had been engaged in a bloody battle with an unending horde of demons for an entire day and night.

The ground was carpeted with demonic corpses, occasionally mixed with the bodies of individuals in white clothing, quickly dragged away.

“Damn it! Just how many demons are there? Have they gone mad? Master Uncle Qu has been holding out for an entire day and night; even the immortals would be exhausted! How much longer can this go on?” someone shouted from within the barrier.

Injured disciples were periodically carried back to Wuhui Palace for treatment. Everyone was exhausted, and the barrier increasingly weakened. Personnel repeatedly came and went to repair it, with only Elder Liu remaining steadfast, gritting his teeth to hold the line.

Elder He offered to relieve him, but was turned down.

Everybody hoped for a glimmer of hope.

“The people from Baiyue Sect are here, battling demons in Wuzhong City.”

“The cultivators from Qingyan Palace are nearby, but they’ve been blocked by the demons and their whereabouts are unknown.” Disciples returning from outside the barrier were continually exchanging information.

Yet no one could see a glimmer of hope.

The only ones holding the line were the Sect Master and Qu Weiyin, each battling in different directions, but they were nearly exhausted, struggling as their stamina began to deplete.

Qu Weiyin was still engulfed in demonic energy, her eyes a fierce crimson brimming with the intent to kill. Whether they were demons or spirits, anyone who approached her faced a certain death. Her Cracked Moon Star Sword was already stained with blood.

Across from her, Yu Gui appeared quite pleased, as if Qu Weiyin had entered the demon path, reminiscent of the Demon Lord from her past life.

“By the way, do you want to glance back and see how our people are breaking the barrier?” Yu Gui asked with a sly grin.

“Qing Yi?” Qu Weiyin replied coldly.

Yu Gui’s expression changed dramatically, becoming a shade of ashen gray. “You know?”

“Thinking you can plant spies—dream on,” Qu Weiyin stated sharply. Suddenly, she held her hand out, and a sleeping girl appeared suspended in the air, quietly floating.

“Except for the members of the Qu family, you’re the only one who has seen my mother’s handwriting. How foolish I was in my past life to consider you a friend.”

“Yu Gui, you aren’t worthy,” Qu Weiyin declared unequivocally, letting her hand drop. The girl plummeted from the sky, disappearing from sight.

“Fine, fine! Since you are so heartless, I won’t be merciful anymore!” Yu Gui responded vigorously before suddenly yelling. He stepped back forcefully, and another figure emerged—the little demon, Yao Yao, who had been trailing him.

Now, he appeared half-human, half-skeleton, engulfed in swirling dark energy.

Qu Weiyin’s expression darkened as she raised her sword and wiped the splattered blood from her face with her empty hand, her blood-red eyes filled with ruthless intent.

In an instant, the two engaged in a fierce battle. The sky above seemed to be corrupted by the demonic energy as black mist and fire surged, forming a massive embroidered landscape behind Qu Weiyin—a tapestry that was both eerie and breathtaking.

Qu Weiyin’s crimson lips appeared even more enchanting, and she muttered something under her breath. The painting behind her spread forth like an enormous net, intending to shred everyone in front of her into bloody pieces.

Her murderous aura made even Yu Gui shudder with fear.

“Just like this, just like this!” he cried out, terror creeping into his voice, yet he laughed maniacally as he dodged to the side.

Seeing that she could not kill him, Qu Weiyin’s expression turned even more ferocious. She unexpectedly grabbed Yao Yao by the shoulders, and with a swift motion, the Cracked Moon Star Sword cleaved the girl in two, splattering blood all over her.

Yu Gui gasped at this sight and stealthily drew out a bone whistle from behind him. Instantly, the shrill sound resonated, piercing through the atmosphere. The audible torment forced many to cover their ears, and a horde of demons plummeted from the air, crashing to the ground in a pile of dark mist.

Qu Weiyin was especially susceptible to the bone whistle; hearing it sent cold sweat down her back, and a wave of irritation and hostility almost consumed her. She desperately covered her ears, but it didn’t provide any relief.

“Yu Gui, you rely on such petty tricks!” Qu Weiyin gritted her teeth, her voice nearly crumbling under the torment.

“Because no one understands you better than I do,” Yu Gui sneered.

Suddenly, a surge of energy rushed in from the distance, forcefully knocking the bone whistle from Yu Gui’s hands. He hurriedly turned around, only to be met with an icy divine sword.

Desperately rolling to the side, he still felt the sword’s tip slice across his face, leaving a deep gouge in his pale skin that revealed bone beneath the crimson blood.

Luo Jinxiao appeared on Qu Weiyin’s side without warning, her eyes filled with panic as she grasped Qu Weiyin’s hand tightly.

Upon seeing Luo Jinxiao, Qu Weiyin finally sighed in relief, but at the same time, a rush of chaos flooded over her. She quickly turned her head away, not wanting Luo Jinxiao to see her blood-red eyes.

“You’re back,” she said, her voice low.

Seeing Qu Weiyin’s appearance, Luo Jinxiao understood that despite her efforts to stop it, she had irrevocably entered the demon path.

A mix of emotions surged within her, coalescing into silence and heartache.

“I’m back,” she replied simply, raising Wu Jue to shield Qu Weiyin.

“I was just about to look for you, yet you came here to seek death,” Yu Gui said, wiping the blood from his face and shaking his head.

Qu Weiyin instinctively moved to attack, but Luo Jinxiao held her back firmly.

Under the warmth of Luo Jinxiao’s touch, the killing intent and hostility emanating from Qu Weiyin gradually dissipated.

“Destroy my home, kill my fellow disciples. It should be you who is here to die,” Luo Jinxiao stated, her grip on Wu Jue tightening.

Suddenly, she raised her hand, and an unseen force gathered from all around. The winds whipped up fiercely, sweeping away the thickening darkness in the sky and bringing a bone-chilling cold.

The once vibrant green leaves slowly began to frost over.

Disciples within the barrier suddenly looked up to see the commotion outside, rushing towards the barrier as they chattered excitedly, “Look! Who is that person?”

“It looks like Sister Luo is next to Master Uncle Qu! We’re saved!”

Elder Liu finally could no longer maintain his stance, his hands leaving his knees as he gasped for breath.

People hurried over to support him, and Lü Fanzhi, concerned, asked, “Elder Liu, are you alright?”

“I’m fine,” Elder Liu waved his hand, but then lifted his gaze to the sky, his brows furrowing deeply, “That’s divine energy.”

“Divine energy? But that’s Luo Jinxiao!” Lü Fanzhi stammered, taken aback.

Elder Liu coughed a few times and sighed softly, “This girl is certainly not ordinary.”

Yu Gui had experienced this power before and dared not underestimate it. He resisted with his demonic energy, and for a moment, the winds in the center of heaven and earth swirled with frost, a standoff between black and white, neither giving way.

Yet Luo Jinxiao appeared unfazed. She slowly began to channel the newfound power within her, allowing it to steadily fill her celestial veins before surging out from her palms.

Though uncertain of what this force was, utilizing it felt effortless, as if it had always been a part of her.

Yu Gui recoiled suddenly, his resentment growing deeper. Luo Jinxiao was now even more powerful than the last time, making it impossible for him to defend himself.

Her eyes were pitch black, unfathomable, while her white garments billowed about her as if she were a celestial being treading through snow in an icy world. Her demeanor was cold yet held a lethal grace, easily capable of reducing her opponents to dust.

In a daze, Yu Gui found himself unable to move, panic beginning to consume him. He glared at Luo Jinxiao, his hatred boiling over, and then he raised his hand to unleash demonic energy for defense, attempting to flee.

In response, Luo Jinxiao swung Wu Jue, and the sword suddenly extended, cleaving through his legs. A piercing scream erupted, leaving nothing but a swirl of black mist before her.

The leading demons retreated, and the others in chaos scattered in all directions. Luo Jinxiao looked down at the devastation surrounding her, a surge of anger swelling within her. Releasing her grip, Wu Jue transformed into countless phantom-like images, and instantly, the region echoed with anguished cries. Countless demons were turned to dust, swept away by the winds.

Once the demons disappeared, everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief, rushing out of the barrier to rescue their injured comrades for treatment.

Luo Jinxiao slowly lowered her arm, the winds gradually calming. She turned to face Qu Weiyin, her heart finally settling, filled with a sense of joy as if something lost had been found again.

“I’m glad I made it in time,” she said, her voice slightly trembling.

Qu Weiyin remained still, keeping her head lowered, unwilling to lift it. Her palms were tightly clenched.

Seeing her like this, Luo Jinxiao felt a pang in her heart. She suddenly grasped Qu Weiyin’s hand, slowly lowering them both to the ground.

“What’s wrong?” Luo Jinxiao asked softly.

Qu Weiyin finally raised her head. The blood-red color of her eyes startled Luo Jinxiao momentarily. A red mark had appeared on Qu Weiyin’s forehead, resembling a large crimson hibiscus flower, now softly glowing.

Her cold hand gradually moved to touch Luo Jinxiao’s face, her lips parting slightly. “I’ve still become this inhuman, in-demon shape,” she murmured.

A terrifying murderous aura radiated from her, causing several nearby leaves to wilt.

Luo Jinxiao felt a wave of sadness wash over her. Not wanting to let Luo Jinxiao see her like this, Qu Weiyin covered her face with her wide sleeves.

Biting her lip to suppress her own sorrow, Luo Jinxiao suddenly broke into a bright smile, pulling down Qu Weiyin’s sleeve. “Don’t hide from me—you’re still beautiful like this.”

“Monsters and demons, how can I still be beautiful?” Qu Weiyin scoffed lightly.

“I don’t care; you used to be just an ordinary beauty, but now you’re unforgettable,” Luo Jinxiao laughed and gently touched her forehead where the red mark was.

As she did so, warmth radiated from Qu Weiyin’s brow, dispelling the coldness that had enveloped her.

“Sweet-talking,” Qu Weiyin remarked, although a hint of warmth crept into her voice.

Around them was a din of chaos, with injured disciples being helped by the side. Qu Weiyin, who had been holding herself together, now felt fatigued, her body swaying slightly. Luo Jinxiao hastily supported her by the shoulder, her free hand gripping Qu Weiyin’s arm, worry etched across her face.

“I’m fine; I’m just a bit tired,” Qu Weiyin shook her head. “What happened on your journey? Why did it take so long? And what about that divine energy…”

“That was divine energy?” Luo Jinxiao exclaimed in surprise. “What happened on the way was truly strange, but thankfully it wasn’t anything serious, and I made it back in time. I’ll tell you all about it later.”

Suddenly, startled cries echoed from a distance. Luo Jinxiao’s heart skipped a beat as she quickly grabbed Qu Weiyin and summoned her sword to ascend the mountain.

A crowd had formed tightly around a spot, making it nearly impassable. Seeing the situation, Luo Jinxiao’s heart tightened. She quickly moved forward, pushing through the throng to see the Sect Master half-squatting, her palm open as she tended to someone lying on the ground.

Upon recognizing the man’s face, Luo Jinxiao felt a pang of dread shoot through her. She hurriedly knelt down, raising her voice in alarm, “Master?”

“Elder Liu exhausted too much spiritual energy. He held the barrier to protect Wuhui Sect and didn’t give the demons any openings,” the Sect Master replied sternly, blood trickling from her lips to her robes, a sight that was both shocking and distressing.

“I’ll help,” Luo Jinxiao said, her eyes red with unshed tears. She infused her spiritual energy into Elder Liu’s body, fighting back the urge to cry.

If it weren’t for Elder Liu’s willingness to take her in back then, she would have had no way to remain.

She couldn’t bear the thought of losing him.

The disciples from Qingyan Palace and Baiyue Sect, having eliminated the demons outside Wuhui Sect, were now rushing to the mountain to help tend to the wounded and secure the civilians.

Each time the immortals and demons clashed, it resulted in such heavy losses, a brutal cycle of mutual torment.

It was only during those two thousand years when Qu Weiyin became the Demon Lord that the Demon Realm had refrained from instigating war, yet it was constantly hunted down by the Immortal Realm.

Qu Weiyin stood at the outskirts of the crowd, motionless, watching Luo Jinxiao without concealing her fiery red pupils or the demonic energy enveloping her. The disciples passing by occasionally stole glances at her, but everyone remained silent, unspoken understanding hanging in the air.

After what felt like an eternity, Luo Jinxiao was finally pulled back, and the crowd lifted Elder Liu onto a wooden plank to carry him away.

Luo Jinxiao wanted to follow, but the Sect Master stopped her, sighing, “Don’t follow him. He has exhausted all his spiritual energy; he’ll probably be in a deep slumber for years. Whether he survives or not will be up to fate.”

Luo Jinxiao remained speechless, her heart heavy with despair.

“I will do my best. You should rest for a moment and keep her company; the experience of entering the demon path isn’t easy,” the Sect Master said softly.

Gradually, the crowd dispersed, with Lü Fanzhi and the others standing some distance away, hesitant to disturb Luo Jinxiao.

Cold fingers wrapped around Luo Jinxiao’s palm. Qu Weiyin had come to her side without her knowing, whispering, “Let’s go back.”

Before Luo Jinxiao nod, a flash of red light enveloped them, and the two appeared in Cold Cloud Pavilion. Qu Weiyin released her hand, moving to light the lamp, but Luo Jinxiao suddenly pulled her back and tightly embraced her waist, burying her face in Qu Weiyin’s shoulder.

In the darkness, only their breathing broke the silence.

“Please don’t leave me,” Luo Jinxiao whispered.

Since entering the demon path, Qu Weiyin’s fragrance had grown even more alluring, making Luo Jinxiao want to remain in her embrace indefinitely.

Qu Weiyin gently patted Luo Jinxiao’s head, responding with a soft “mm.”

“But I will become increasingly bloodthirsty,” Qu Weiyin sighed.

“Do you want to kill me, then?” Luo Jinxiao asked, her voice muted.

At her words, Qu Weiyin increased the force of her patting, exasperated. “I would rather kill myself for you than harm you. Why would I want to kill you?”

After a moment, she softened her tone. “Don’t worry; Elder Liu will surely end up in good fortune. He may seem carefree, but his feelings towards Wuhui Sect are profound. He will risk his life to protect the Wuhui Sect and its disciples; one can only expect that.”

“Isn’t that just like you, to sacrifice everything for others, even resorting to practicing demonic arts?” Luo Jinxiao said with a pout.

“Alright now.” Qu Weiyin lightly cleared her throat and pushed Luo Jinxiao away gently. “You still haven’t told me why you were delayed on the way back.”

Luo Jinxiao settled on the imperial concubine couch and began recounting her experiences within the divine consciousness, omitting the struggles, which made the narration feel mild and uneventful.

After listening, Qu Weiyin pondered for a moment before responding, “I cannot casually enter someone’s divine consciousness; that individual must be extraordinary. From what you’ve described, with the Divine Soul Lamp extinguished, it’s highly likely that the additional power you’ve acquired comes from the divine soul itself.”

“I feel like that person looks familiar, but she seemed to be about eight feet tall. How could I know a woman that tall? It’s too strange,” Luo Jinxiao shook her head.

“Moreover, I can sense that the divine energy you’re experiencing now is identical to what I felt that day at the Tower of Everlasting Brightness, and even stronger,” Qu Weiyin continued.

“Could it be that this divine soul truly belongs to you?” Qu Weiyin suddenly suggested.

Luo Jinxiao paused in surprise, quickly denying, “But my three souls and seven spirits were intact; I haven’t lost anything.”

“Have you ever considered why we were given a second chance at life?” Qu Weiyin interjected sharply.

Luo Jinxiao fell silent, having never contemplated that question. She had thought it was merely fate at play. Now, combined with the mysterious woman’s words, it seemed that none of this was just coincidental.

Qu Weiyin’s fiery red eyes scrutinized Luo Jinxiao for a moment before she decided to drop the topic. She stepped closer and gently ruffled Luo Jinxiao’s hair. “Forget it. From what you say, that person doesn’t seem to have malicious intent. As long as you’re not harmed, everything else is inconsequential.”

Luo Jinxiao lifted her face, grinning widely.

“I just knew you’d be grinning like a fool,” Qu Weiyin remarked. But as soon as she finished her sentence, Luo Jinxiao stood up straight and planted a kiss on her forehead.

The moment Luo Jinxiao’s lips touched the mark on Qu Weiyin’s brow, a shiver ran down Qu Weiyin’s spine, nearly causing her to lose her balance. She quickly covered her forehead, frowning in annoyance. “Luo Jinxiao!”

Luo Jinxiao stuck out her tongue, not expecting that Qu Weiyin had gained not just a birthmark but also a newfound vulnerability.
