TW: Drinking alcohol, as stated prior to this. Will continue for a couple of chapters.
.
You let out a flustered laugh in response, really not used to the compliment but if you’re honest, it felt really nice. You never were someone who liked the praise of other people, you were always independent. Now you kind of have to be independent, you don’t really have anyone to rely on. You don’t know how true it was but you genuinely felt nice in the clothes you were wearing today so there was that. Maybe it’s because it’s the shirt William brought you but regardless, you love it very much. It was a perfect fit and made you think of William, he was like the puzzle piece you needed in your life. You put a halt to your thoughts as William begins to speak…
“Sorry if I’m too early, just had to get out of the house already. The babysitter came.” William asks as he continues to stare at you up and down, which you don’t mind, kind of like it.
You perk up, “Babysitter? Did Michael go out again?” You ask, tilting your head in slight confusion at that statement.
“Yep, typical for him. You’re ready?” William asks with a flirtatious tone accompanying his voice, more or less, brushing off the last topic.
“Mhm!” You hum out in confirmation to William’s last question as you step outside the house, surprised by the sudden breeze that passes by you as soon as you take a step outside.
You turn around and lock the door, walking with William down the few steps leading up to the steps. William holds his hand out for you to grab, you’re a little flushed but grab it and follow him. It’s fairly dark now which makes sense, casually, you blindly follow William as he walks alongside you. You sort of just stare at him, his features are as entrancing as always and you think he noticed because he makes eye contact with you with a wide smirk on his smug face. But you can’t help it, the way his nose curves like a mountain slope, his light freckles that coat his peachy skin, and his dark blue eyes that allure you in so many ways. They’re features you don’t think you could ever get tired of…
You dart your eyes away, slightly embarrassed, have been caught staring, but nonetheless, you blush hardcore. Much to your gratitude, he doesn’t tease you about it or make any comments. In an attempt to redirect yourself, you find your eyes staring at the small town in front of you, it really was a beautiful town. Small, silent, and peaceful, yet it’s so very interesting all at the same time which is very impressive. You can’t say the same thing about your old town, it was very boring over there and very close minded.
The walk itself isn’t too long and it’s quite peaceful, you and William get there in a matter of minutes and it’s not too busy at the moment. There are a couple of people here and there, but that’s about it. You and William head over to a couple of stools, the environment is semi-quiet, with a touch of light music in the background. You’ve never actually been to a bar before or drunk alcohol in general, all of this is new to you. Which is quite embarrassing to say since you’re twenty-two.
” I have to admit something,” William starts before continuing, “We’re actually a little early, I wanted to talk to you a little bit before they got here. As well as to get a couple of drinks in, I hate being sober for these meetings.” he finishes, calling over the bartender and causally ordering six (alcohol of choice) shots.
You wait till the bartender serves the drinks before responding, “Oh, that’s alright. You could’ve just told me but what is with you being early today?” you joke slightly, a small smile on your face, “Also, this is embarrassing to admit, but I’ve actually never drank alcohol before…” you mumble as the bartender leaves.
“Mmm just feeling it. And really? Never?” William responds, already quickly downing one shot before he speaks.
“Yeah, never.” You clarify, a slight blush on your face.
William hums in response, “Well, first time for everything, no?” He says and slides a shot to you, you stare at it for a second and back at William.
“I don’t know, I don’t know my limits and today is important… I don’t want to be a burden…” you mumble, trying to slide the glass back to William, which he stops.
William chuckles slightly, “Pfft, a burden? As if, come on, don’t be shy.” He responds, pushing the glass back at you, the way he spoke sort of eased your nerves and you find yourself nodding slightly.
You stare at the liquid for a couple of seconds and carefully grab it, you take a deep breath and down it. You cough harshly, not expecting the burn, and set the glass down. Your body contradicts itself, your throat hates it but you kind of want more. It kind of felt like the heat was in your stomach and it was a weird feeling, you’re attention is brought back to the real world as William chuckles softly.
You blush slightly, “It’s not bad…” you softly say, your voice betraying you as it sounds weak. Your throat still slightly burning from the feeling of the alcohol going down your throat.
“It gets better the more you drink.” William simply says, sliding a couple more glasses in your direction as he calls the bartender again.
You have a hard time saying no and sort of just accept them, which is embarrassing but you don’t mind. Getting buzzed with William, even if it’s completely new, sounds like a nice feeling. Is that weird?
William finishes ordering another six more shots from the bartender and smiles at you, “Since you’re here, do you wanna hear about what the meetings are about? I remember you asked about it earlier?” He questions, splitting the drinks between the two of you as he downs another one which you do as well.
“Yeah, of course.” You nod, leaning forward with a genuine interest in what he has to say.
“Alright, so we’re trying to branch off into multiple locations and our investors have recommended making a show as well as a toy line. Typical expansion shit.” William simply says, relaxing in his seat as he speaks. You don’t know why but you feel like he looks more attractive than normal, is it the clothes? Wait, it’s the alcohol, isn’t it?
You brush your thoughts aside, “Oh, Elizabeth actually told me a bit about this!” You comment, chuckling a bit as you say that.
William freezes at that for a second, “She did? Damn it…” he mutters, “She ruined the surprise,” William jokes softly and downs another glass of alcohol. You copy him again, trying to keep up with him but it’s kind of making your throat feel raw. You ignore it though…
“Yep, sorry if this is random, are you still looking for a fourth character?” You question quietly, a bit of anxiety in your voice at the thought of embarrassing yourself.
“Uh yeah?” William responds, raising an eyebrow as he downs another glass of the fiery liquid.
You follow after him, downing a shot as well, you think he noticed that you’re following behind him because he smirks slightly. You blush slightly but start talking, “Okay, I don’t know if I’m overstepping but I have this cute plush of a yellow chicken and I think it’d be the cutest!” You chirp, clasping your hands together with a wide grin.
“A yellow chicken?” William comments, obviously finding it funny, chuckling a bit to himself as he rests his face in his palm while staring at you.
You laugh nervously, “I don’t know if it’s a duck!” You defend, pulling at the collar of your shirt with slight embarrassment.
“I like the yellow chicken more…” William jokes with a mischievous grin on his face, clearly poking fun at your confusion about a plush you literally own.
“Are you making fun of me?” You gasp dramatically, laughing slightly which causes William to laugh as well. He really did bring out a different side of you.
William sits up straight, “Maybe… But genuinely, I do like the idea and we desperately need one right now…So I might just take it.” He answers, he downs his last shot and you, as you have been for a while, copy him. How does he take these many shots in such little time? Your throat burns.
You choke slightly in excitement, “Really? Wait wait! I named her Chica! So if you could keep that name…” you almost squeal, hoping you don’t sound too eager. The last thing you need is to come off as needy or too much for William…
“Chica the Chicken? Kind of fits with the rest of the names Henry made.” He replies, stretching slightly before taking his black coat off and folding it onto his lap. Is it hot? You haven’t even realized, your body temperature is super whacky when you’re around William.
You find yourself staring at him for a second, how is he so hot? “…Is that yes?” You ask, a light blush smeared across your face.
William smirks slightly, clearly taking notice of your staring, fuck. “Yep. Oh since we’re on the topic, I kind of want to tell you that I’m working on a sister location for Fredbear’s…” he mumbles, looking at the entrance, probably to see if the investors and Henry were here…
You’re a little confused, didn’t he just talk about that? “A sister location? Isn’t that what you’re already doing?” You question again, tilting your head like you normally do at this point.
William chuckles softly, grabbing you by your chin which just makes you blush more. “Kind of but it’s my own thing, don’t tell Henry yet. It’s actually almost done, I finished the animatronics a while before you arrived in town.” He responds, staring at you with a glint in his eyes that just makes you feel like putty in his hands.
Your breath hitches slightly, “Really? That’s really cool,” you reply, trying to not lose your composure. He is such a tease, you don’t know where you stand with him at this point.
William pulls his hand away, much to your disappointment, “Yeah, it’s a pizzeria and rental service thing and we’re having our opening day in some time…” he says, his eyes drifting off in another direction.
You’re about to say something else when you notice that William had turned his attention away from you as his dark blue eyes spot something. You follow his eyes and you see Henry talking with some men and a lady at the entrance. The investors, you assume. They’re kind of intimidating to look at, you see Henry notices you and William which causes him to send this glare at William, making you slightly more uncomfortable. Maybe you shouldn’t have said yes to coming now that you think about it. Regardless, it’s weird to leave now and probably rude so you stay seated, downing another shot in an attempt to ease the feeling.
You’re about to wave at Henry when your eyes land on a familiar brunette following behind them, fairly focused on writing on his note pad. What was Damien/Daryl doing here?…
