Wake Up – William Afton X Male Reader Chapter 32 : A Party’s End

A+ A-

It starts to get late and tiredness has really hit you like a truck, at this point everyone was mostly ready to go. You would have left earlier if it wasn’t for the fact that you had been waiting on William to come back. You’ve been trying to stay distracted, which was a little hard since Damien/Daryl had actually went home earlier and your sister was quick to as well. Henry on the other hand, seemed to be keeping an eye on you or something, he probably didn’t trust you or something. And the kids? Well, Michael was on his phone with both Elizabeth and Evan sleeping on either of his shoulders. While he may act a little bit of a rebel or angsty teen sometimes, he’s definitely a sweetie at heart and you love him for that.

Your thoughts return to William again, your eyes dart over to the office area and you ponder if maybe you could go over there? Maybe? Led by your thoughts, you slowly walk over there, ignoring your surroundings but definitely feeling someone’s stare following you. You once again ignore it and pace to William’s office but before you could even knock, the back exit to an alley way pulls open. You flinch at the loud sound of the same door closing, you face the direction and are met with the sight of William’s face. His face is illuminated by one of the dim lights and his dark blue eyes meet yours. You don’t know what he it is but the look in his eyes is rather mysterious yet intimidating, that same look disappears in a matter of seconds. The look is replaced with the one you’re rather used to, the playful and somehow, mysterious but differently, if that’s possible.

“What are you up to?” William asks softly as he walks towards you, stepping further into the light with this pleasant smile on his face.

“I was looking for you…” You sheepishly reply in a somewhat tense voice before you point awkwardly at the door to William’s office.

“Oh? And why is that, hun?” William questions with a somewhat amused yet curious expression as he starts to lean against his office door. He’s just a few inches away from you. Your tense feeling only growing but in a good way… to a degree.

“I was going to head home in a bit.” You mumble, your eyes practically glued to William’s eyes. You really couldn’t get enough of William’s attention, you didn’t hold any grudges against him for past events. Maybe you should be but when you look into those pools of blue, it sort of makes you forget about everything else.

“Ah, of course. You wanted to stay good bye? How sweet.” William quietly teases in that same velvety tone of voice that makes you feel weak, he really knew how to push all your buttons.

You slowly nod in response, you didn’t trust yourself to give him a proper verbal answer at this point as you sheepishly smile. Your face warms up in a flustered manner when William leans in close to your face, with less than inch between you, it feels like he’s scanning your face. A small chuckle escapes his throat before he closes the distance with a little kiss. Much to your disappointment, it only lasts maybe 3 seconds? William pulls away with a very satisfied smirk on his handsome face as you’re just left to try and not be an even bigger mess. Maybe one day you’ll be more casual with kisses from William but that day is not today, he fills you with a rush of adrenaline when he’s near. His lips against yours sends you into a haze and it’s a high you never want to end. But it does. And William backs up as he examines your disappointed yet blushing face closely.

“Don’t get greedy now, love.” William softly jokes and playfully narrows his eyes at you before turning to his office, “I’ll see you tomorrow, alright? I’m sorry we didn’t get to spend as much time together as I’d like us to.” He whispers barely loud enough for you to hear in such a sincere voice that it makes you feel like your heart is being gripped. It’s like William has you in his grip and refuses to let go. In a good way.

“Yeah, alright. Bye, Will.” You murmur mischievously and lightly jab at his shoulder before William just shakes his head and walks into his office. You stand there for a couple of seconds but eventually turn around and start walking back to the main section of the party.

.

Your way back home isn’t eventful, you got home like you would any other day except you felt happier than normal. Maybe it was the party or maybe it was William, it was probably both but you couldn’t focus. You tread into your room, the sight of Moth rolled up in your sheets with audible purring. The little feline seemed fast asleep and you were trying your best not to awake him, sadly you failed at that small task.

Little Mothy boy stretches as he wakes up with a small crying yawn before frolicking over to you with his big eyes that stare into yours. You tiredly smile at the little guy, you lean down and give him a small pet before sitting down on the bed. You’re much too tired for anything right now, a day full of fun is tiring. Moth seems to take notice of your predicament and so when you turn the lights off and lay down, he joins you near your head. His soft fur grants you comfort as you fall into slumber land in a matter of minutes.

Maybe it was the overstimulation or change that you recently experienced but you find yourself in your old bedroom. Everything the exact way you left it in except for the clear sight of your family photo gone. Pushing yourself off the once comforting bedside, you come off the bed with a break. You step forward and the walk feels longer than it ever did, your fingers slowly trace along the dark wood wardrobe. Slowly you trace every grove and grain in the wood, the familiar feeling not as welcoming. The countless nights you spent at your table overthinking every choice your made just to make a stupid one. Your room was not yours anymore, you gave it up and you still don’t know how to feel. You thought you were over it but… the sound of glass breaks your thought. Just when you turn around, you’re met with the morning sun radiating through the curtains. Moth seemed to have left when you were asleep, Damien/Daryl must have let him out.

That dream didn’t bring you any comfort, you felt weak now. Eventually you were able to gather the courage to get up and you calmed yourself down. You reach for your phone, cursing yourself out for not charging the damn thing but you dismiss that when you notice a text message. Your mood does get a little better at the view of a small, “Good morning” from your favorite British man.

You feel a little smile form on your face before checking the time to see it was about 6:40AM, you could sleep a little more but… you didn’t really want to. Slowly you sit up because even though it was just your birthday, you still got work today. Which is typical but you wished it wasn’t. Though your mind does start to think about a certain date you have with a certain someone…

After settling on a more casual yet still presentable outfit that’ll keep you warm, you head on out of your room to do daily activities. Once done with those you slowly walk to the main area, Damien/Daryl coming into view who also notices you as well.

A simple smile curls it’s way onto his face before he starts to speak, “Morning, did you sleep well?” Damien/Daryl asks softly as he himself seems a bit tired, which honestly makes sense since he does strike you as not much of a party person.

Shaking your head a small nod, you look around for second, “Yeah, I guess.” You mumble, not really hiding anything but still hoping he wouldn’t ask about it. And maybe he understood the signs because he didn’t while still continuing to cook breakfast.

“Hm, well are you heading into work today?” Damien/Daryl asks as he leans against the counter as you make your way to sit down on a seat. The stove on a low now that he was talking to you.

“Yeah, hopefully it won’t be too busy today.” You openly think out loud, the words causing Damien/Daryl to laugh slightly. Makes you a little confused.

“That place? I think it’s only get low business for a week if I don’t know, somebody died?” Damien/Daryl jokes although he doesn’t laugh for more than a second and you don’t know why but you don’t either.

“Right, are you going out work?” You question with genuine interest as you take notice of Damien/Daryl turning the heat off on the pan he was using. He settles the pancakes on a small plate before setting them down on the count for.

Damien/Daryl perks up a bit at that question, “Oh, I’m working from home today also help yourself to breakfast,” He states out as he gets his share onto his plate before stepping back.

You give a small nod again, standing up now as you reach for a plate before getting your own serving as well.

.

Breakfast goes by smoothly, Damien/Daryl was quick to get to his computer and you took it as a sign to also head out as well. So you do, grabbing your extra things like a scarf and a jacket before stepping out into the chilly morning air. You let out a small huff of white into the cool exterior around you before putting on a smile. You tread to work quietly, the morning quietness putting you at ease before you pull your phone out.

You barely realized you never responded to William’s messages and in a moment of embarrassment, you send back a small message. Nothing much but you still couldn’t get him off your mind. The way his lips feel, the way his voice sounds, the things he does for you? It makes you feel like you’re melting under the gay pressure and heat, hmm…
