“WAAAHHH!” The princess cried louder.
Lily burst into the room, she rushed towards to the crying princess. “Princess!” She carried the crying princess.
“Why is my princess so upset?” Lily consoled the princess with a smile on her face.
“Maybe you feel hungry?” Lily smiled as the flowers bloomed behind her.
‘Aww…’ Jennette smiled, ‘I wish I could carry the princess on my arm..’
The princess looked up to her nanny. ‘Lilian York.’
‘Am I getting an introduction?’ Lily thought.
The screen turned black as the Princess began to speak on her head.
‘The only person from the book Lovely Princess, who claimed Athanasia was innocent.’
“I am glad, that even the princess was accused, you didn’t turn your back to her.” Felix smiled at Lily.
“Well, the loyalty I have from the princess will always stay forever, even if the Empire is against her.” Lily stated.
‘And for that, she also gets killed by the hands of Claude.’ The princess continued.
‘Well, I was already expecting to get killed from defending the Princess from everyone.’ Lily thought.
‘Despite being aware of the Ruby Palace incident,’ the screen showed Lily walking with her suitcase on her hands. ‘She stills volunteers to become Athanasia’s nanny.’
‘The reason was Athanasia’s mother.’ Diana’s eyes were shown before the screen showed her dancing gracefully, earning a lot of attention from the crowd, including Lily’s.
‘She is not only loyal to my daughter, but also from my dead lover.’ Claude glanced at the nanny who looked at the screen in awe.
‘I guess she deserves a recognition.’ He thought before looking back at the screen.
‘She always admired how Diana’s spirit was free as a bird.’
‘But Diana died right after giving birth… And Claude shockingly massacres everyone in the Ruby Palace.’ Bloods of the dead people were everywhere.
“I’ve always wondered why did the Emperor massacred the people living in the Ruby Palace? Did they do something that angered the Emperor?” Ijekiel said curiously earning some attention.
The screen changed to the crying princess. Her tears rolled down to her cheeks. ‘Claude you dirtbag!!’
Claude raises his brow at his daughter on the screen.
“D, don’t cry princess.” The nanny tried calming her down.
‘I’m pretty sure I ended up in that wreck of a world inside the book.’
‘That means I’ll die!’
“That not gonna happen!” Lily exclaimed.
‘The princess from the book met the Emperor at the age on nine, and my princess met the Emperor four years early! So a lot of things might change.’ Lily thought.
‘Of course I will prevent that from happening. I will kill your father if he will try to.’ Lucas’ eyes darkened.
‘And she’s going to die defending Athanasia!’ The princess cried harder.
Lily puts the princess down to strip her dress. “She’s not hungry and it’s not the diapers…”
‘I didn’t pee!’
Lucas chuckled at the princess’ respond.
“She’s been very needy nowadays.”
“It’s okay princess, I’m right here.” The nanny comforted the princess.
‘And why am I Athanasia? Call me Jennette, I don’t want to be Athanasia!’
‘I was right! I should leave this damn Palace! Time, make haste!’
‘If you succeed.’ Claude thought.
The screen changed to the Ruby Palace.
“Nanny, nanny!”
Athanasia appeared wearing a cute pink dress, her jeweled blue eyes are shining. She’s covering her mouth as flowers blossom behind her.
Some of them stared at the screen in awe.
Lily smiled fondly at the screen, she wished that she could show the princess what she looked like when she was a little.
“Athy wants chocolate!” The princess said cutely. The maid looked at the princess with hearts on her eyes.
“My sweet princess, you’d like some chocolate?” The maid asked.
Athanasia nodded in response, “Yeah! Athy loves chocolate. Athy wants a lot!”
“Too much chocolate isn’t good for a toddler, but I’ll gladly give you a lot, princess!” Jennette said, falling for Athanasia’s cutesy.
“You like chocolate that much, your highness?” The maid asked Athanasia.
“Athy loves chocolate! Love it thi-s much!” Athanasia said while stretching her arms to show how much she loves chocolate. “Athy loves Hannah, too!”
Jennette pouted, jealous of the maid.
“Hannah, what are you doing?” Another maid appeared, starling the maid Hannah. “Ces!”
“Head maid Lilian told you, you can’t give the Princess snacks as you please.” Ces said strictly.
“Head maid?” Ijekiel asked, looking at Lily.
“Oh, I became the Head maid after the previous one got cough from stealing.” Lily responded with a smile.
“It’s just one piece!” Hannah reasoned to the other maid.
“But you won’t be the only one giving her snacks.” Ces said.
Lily nodded, agreeing from what Ces said.
But then, the princess tugged on Ces’ apron. “Nanny.”
“Oh my, please don’t look at the princess.” Lily clasps her hands, hoping that the maid won’t look. The princess always took advantage of her cuteness when the maids won’t give her chocolates.
Ces startled, she looked down at the princess who called her.
“But Athy wants chocolate.” Athanasia whines, she pouted her cute lips.
“Ces, please be strong.” Lily puts hope to the maid.
The maid immediately regretted her choice, and fell into the princess trap. “No your highness.” Ces gulped.
Athanasia step forward to the maid, her jeweled blue eyes shining as she pouted more.
The maid couldn’t look back. “I really can’t…”
In the end, the maid lost. Ces was kneeling in front of the princess, giving her a pack of chocolate.
Everyone’s sweatdropped as the maid gave the princess a pack of chocolate.
Lily lost her hope to the maid. “I should’ve scolded them.” Felix felt bad at the nanny.
“You can’t tell Lilian, okay?” Ces said. Upon remembering Lily’s reminder not to give chocolates to the princess, Ces couldn’t help but feel guilty.
But Athanasia kissed Ces’ cheeks, resulting for her to blush.
“My! Ces you came here on purpose to steal my thunder!” Hannah yelled at the other maid.
“W, what are you talking about? Do you think I’m the kind of person who acts with ulterior motives like you?”
“Then why are you the one giving her chocolate? Her kiss was supposed to be mine!”
Lily sighed. Tired of the maids fight about the princess.
‘Time flows like water,’ Athanasia was seen running as the two maids continued fighting. ‘And now, I’m 5 years old.’
‘After years of effort, I’ve turned the maids to my side.’
‘She probably did that by using her cuteness.’ Lucas thought.
‘Back then, I used to make their lives difficult for being mean to me. But I don’t want them against me.’
The screen showed the baby athanasia spilling a cup of water all over the carpet.
‘And I wasn’t imagining things when I noticed the fineries missing from my room’
‘Everyone from the palace are noble blood, but the people from Ruby Palace are not really from the noblest families.’ Workers from the Ruby Palace were busy with their works. ‘It makes sense if you think about it.’
‘They only looked out for themselves at first, but as time went by they eventually realized that Claude has no interest in me or the Ruby Palace.’
“But stealing is stealing.” Lily said.
‘I was as helpful screwcrow in field, as they pecked at the Ruby Palace’s budget little by little.’
‘I was the only one there, so they had nothing to be scared of. But they became so bold, they were stealing the jewels and ornaments from the walls.’
‘How upsetting it was when I realized they are stealing my means of living!’
The screen showed a maid stealing and Athanasia cried for attention of others.
‘All this included with Lily fighting with the Head maid on my behalf.’
“Even if the Emperor showed no interest of the princess before, they should’ve known that they will still be punish from stealing.” Felix said.
‘Was it her?’ An image of the previous Head maid appeared.
‘I should’ve known when she didn’t even buy me a new toy because of the budget.’
‘On the bright side, I got to hide a lot of goodies without Lily getting too suspicious.’
“Where are you going, Princess?” The maid asked.
The princess looked back at the maid. “To pick flowers!” They’re for Lily.
“Aww…” Lily clasps her hands.
“But you should wipe your mouth. Did you enjoy the chocolate?” The maid said, wiping Athanasia’s cheeks.
“You have to keep it a secret!” The princess waved at the maid.
“Yes, princess.” The maid smiled.
Anastacius chuckled. “Looks like the princess has a lot of allies.”
The princess looked on her hands, and saw some chocolate of it.
“Should I clean off at the fountain?” Athanasia wondered to herself.
The scene changed to the outside of the Ruby Palace. ‘The Ruby Palace is known for it’s beautiful scenery.’
The screen showed statues of women, ‘But it doesn’t seem like a good place to raise a kid.’
“Becuase that Palace was made for the concubines.” Duke Alpheus stated.
While washing her hand, Athanasia almost slipped into the fountain. Athanasia looked into her reflection. “How pretty.”
‘So this is what I looked like. She’s adorable?’
“Is there no mirror on the Ruby Palace?” Claude asked Lily.
“There are a lot, your Majesty. Is just that, the princess rarely look at them.” Or probably hasn’t. Lily responded.
‘I’m the splitting image of my mother, but these unique eyes are from my father.’
‘Jeweled eyes only possessed by those of direct line to the Imperial family. People of this world all have some amount of magical power, but this Imperial family has a very unique type of magic.’
‘So i also have a unique magic?’ Jennette wondered.
‘Hence, eyes like these.’
‘Everyone says I’m the only one with Claude’s eyes… but there’s Jennette.
Athansia walked until she spotted a garden full of beautiful flowers, she kneeled down to pick some for Lily.
After the princess picked some flowers, she stood up, looking at her surrounding. Until she realized the she was in unknown territory.
“Wait? Where am I?” The Princess looked around.
