AIDAN
“For our sake, I hope we all passed” Alice laughed when we all groaned.
Exams were over. It was Saturday afternoon and graduation day was Monday. We had a march out parade rehearsal, Sunday morning which we were not that excited about after a week of stress, fear and being tested.
“I feel like if Sergeant Chase had it her way. She would fail all of us for making a single mistake” Lola joked but we knew that woman was insane enough to do it.
“Do you guys know where you want to go next?” Jaimie asked.
She had changed a lot after what happened to her.. Jaimie used to be commanding with good leadership qualities but she had been so down lately.
I hate how those trainees changed her. Something in all of us died that day. We were colder, more serious in the field even one of the commanders who were responsible for testing us mentioned the difference between us and others
A certain coldness that came with experience.
“I lowkey wanna join the navy”
“I really wanna be an assassin” Dawn confessed with a dreamy smile.
We all stared at her and she just stared back.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“You are in the military and your thirst for blood is mildly concerning” Sureya said what we were all thinking.
“I just feel like that’s my calling. I’m not much of a team person and I might have enjoyed killing you know who” Dawn shrugged as if she was simply making sense.
“You need therapy. I’m going into security services.” Maddie informed.
They all continued talking about the topic but my mind went to what that agent told me. What if we didn’t even have a choice. Sergeant Chase told me she would make sure nothing happened to me.
Well I had seen just how far she was willing to go to make sure nothing happened to me. My gut told me all 7 of those boys who attacked Jaimie were dead. Something told me she killed the rest because they were nowhere to be found.
But it was concerning how nobody raised a case against everything. No questions asked. Just like the girls who were assaulted. It was soothing to know they got the same punishment. Dead without justice .
Just being important to Sergeant Chase and have her shield me. The whole thing made me horny and I was in need of some Sergeant Chase type of sex.
“Aidan!!!” I felt pain against my cheek.
“Who slapped me?” I glared at my friends who laughed in response.
“You were lost for a moment and we were calling you” Maddie explained with a guilty smile.
“What were you trying to tell me?”
“That we know you are fucking Sergeant Chase” Lola replied with a smirk and I sat up from my lying position.
“Wait what?. That’s not what we were…ohhh you are messing with her” Sureya let out a little laugh but Lola shook her head.
“Nope, I meant exactly that. Ask Aidan about it” Lola was finding this too much amusing.
“Aidan?….” Jaimie sat up and now they were all staring at me.
“You guys wanna smoke the rest of Sureya’s weed?” I choked out trying to get out of the situation.
“Oh my gawd. How the hell did I not notice it?. The bratty attitude, the lingering eyes and Aidan went straight to Sergeant Chase after getting in serious trouble….oh my god” Alice exclaimed with a face of realization.
“You let that woman touch you?. Damn Black, I didn’t take you for a masochist” Maddie laughed so hard while everyone was watching her be a fool.
“Lola, how did you figure it out?” Dawn was giving me a glare. Like I was supposed to tell her about the details of my sexual life with the the cruel Sergeant.
“So you remember when Aidan stayed at the bay because she was ‘sick’?” Lola air quoted the word sick.
“Hey, I was actually sick” I defended myself.
“Lola, Sergeant Chase was busy giving us hell in training that day. She couldn’t have had time fuck a ‘sick’ Aidan” Jaimie was also interested in this?
“Can we stop air quoting the word sick like I was faking” I groaned.
“Sergeant Chase fucked her through the night which was why Aidan felt ‘sick’. She was limping so bad” Lola continued to give more details.
“Hold the fuck up…through the night?. You sneaked out to her cabin?” Alice raised her voice but Dawn pinched her.
“No, they fucked in the mountain”
Ughhhhhh
“Oh my god”
Now they were laughing. Maddie gasping for air while rolling in the grass. Dawn was holding her stomach laughing from the back her throat. Alice in the same condition as Maddie, Sureya had tears running down her face laying back with her hands for support. Jaimie didn’t laugh much but she was laughing still.
Lola held a smug face while staring at me like she won. Her face fell when I made a move to stand up and she tried to run but I grabbed her foot dragging her back.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry” Lola giggled when I straddled her and choked her.
“Are you sure Sergeant Chase will appreciate you being on top of another woman?” I heard Jaimie ask which made me groan even more.
I heard a sniff so I looked back to check. Sureya was trying to hide that she was crying but she had tears in her eyes.
“Su what’s wrong?”Dawn was quick to move herself close to Sureya
“I..uh… I kinda have been losing my mind. Laughing like this after everything…I just never thought I would be able to genuinely laugh. What happened that night just haunts me you know” She wiped her eyes.
“I keep looking over my shoulder. Everytime I see some people in uniform coming in, I fear this is it. They are taking us away. That they found the bodies and we are screwed” Maddie sighed
“I trust you but I was so scared one of us would freak out and talk. I have been having nightmares about him. I keep seeing him and I’m tied up. The pain…I don’t even know how to move on. That type of thing killed me. He took something from me that I can never get back.” Jaimie opened up for the first time since it all happened.
“I’m perfectly fine. I got my closure from watching that guy die” Dawn as always said something so strange.
We all laughed a bit.
“You are such a psycho” Lola rolled her eyes.
“Guys I just want to stay human nomatter what I face out there. I don’t want to turn into a monster. I have heard stories from soldiers who lost themselves. Men who come back from war and start abusing their kids and wives. The depression and the darkness. Even if it’s justified, it’s still taking away someone’s life and that is something that will stay at he back of my head, haunting us all” Dawn spoke so seriously.
“I stopped looking over my shoulder. I know Sergeant Chase took care of it. And she took care of me. I found peace. Those trainees attacked me before and Sergeant Chase fought them. She knocked them out But they did it again. I might sound horrible but I am glad they are gone”
We stayed silent for a few minutes just relaxed.
“I’m tired of emotional stuff, I’m going for a smoke” Alice stood up.
“You have cigarettes?” I asked with a happy smile.
“I stole them from your girlfriend” Alice teased taking out a box.
“Hell yeah, fuck emotions” Sureya got up.
I wanted to be happy I found a family but in my heart I was so scared of the fact that anything could happen to all of us.
I was terrified.
