Let’s rent a haunted house. On Hao hyung’s birthday, all 9 of us will hang out. One of us can say that there is a haunted house they want to go to. He will probably not agree immediately, but I am sure that if Hanbin keeps convincing him, he will agree eventually. We will split into duos/groups and go there. For example, me and Gyuvin can go first, Matthew and Gunwook after us followed by Taerae, Jiwoong, and Yujin, and lastly Hao and Hanbin. While inside, I and the others can change into scary costumes and scare Hao and Hanbin. Halfway the biggest jumpscare will scare Hao and at the same time Hanbin will “disappear”. Hao will have to walk around alone and then the scariest monster will scare him. The monster will later take off his mask revealing Hanbin. Others will later come out and sing for him while Hanbin takes out the cake. Boom done. Then we can celebrate.

“Let’s divide into groups shall we??” Hanbin suggested as others nodded.

“I am with Ricky,” Gyuvin said hugging the boy.

“Me and Gunwook,” Matthew said.

“Me and Hao obviously” Hanbin stated as the other three Jiwoong, Yujin, and Taerae teamed up.

Just as planned…

“We will go first!” Gyuvin informed as the two went in.

“Aish these kids…how come they are so brave?” Hao wondered out loud as Hanbin laughed.

“Don’t worry love I will be with you,” Hanbin said.

What a liar.

“How about we go last so you can mentally prepare for it??” Hanbin asked smoothly as Hao nodded.

Moments later everyone were inside the haunted house.

Well except for Haobin.

“It’s our turn. Let’s go??” Hanbin asks.

“Y-yeah” Hao answered, gulping.

Hanbin chuckled as he held his hand and went inside.

When they entered it was fine.

Nothing scary it was just very dark, resulting in Hao tripping.

“Shit,” Not even a minute in and Hao was already cursing.

Annoyed Hao was really amusing to Hanbin as he laughed every time Hao cursed in fear.

“Let’s go to this room- AAHH!!!” Hao screamed when he opened the door to the room, met by a skull flying towards them.

“WHAT THE-“

“SHIT,”

“Haahahhahah”

“Stop laughing!!”

“Sorry sorry”

It was fine so far.

The jumpscares weren’t too much. 

Hao just screamed, Hanbin laughed at him, Hao told him to shut up, and repeat.

They were having fun and thats what’s more important!!

It was like a sweet date (Hao forgot about the others).

Hanbin didnt of course since he knew that every monster they met was one of their friends dressed up.

Hao didnt notice until…

“AAHSHF OH MY GOD OH MY FUCKING GOD YOU CAN’T DO THAT” Hao complained, screaming when a monster came up behind them while they were looking at a broken mirror.

The monster just threw a bunch of fake bugs on them before leaving.

“Yah Bin-ah am I tweaking or he reminds me of Ricky? The height, the silhouette…you know Ricky’s small waist…” Hao said after complaining about the bugs making Hanbin freeze a little.

“I- I guess since you have known Ricky for a long time everything related to him reminds you of him,” Hanbin tried to act nonchalant but the boy was SWEATing inside (Sweat SOTY).

“Yeah, I guess. I indeed think about yall all the time. So much that I once mistook someone else for Ricky. This kid…running on my mind every day…” Hao sighed as he shook his head when he thought about the embarrassing incident.

“Well, it just means you love him a lot,” Hanbin comforted, relieved that they had gone away from the topic of the monster’s height and silhouette, which was similar to Ricky’s.

How the fuck could he even tell though???

“Yeah, I do love him a lot…Not like I will ever admit it to his face though,” Hao chuckled which made Hanbin laugh too.

*thud*

They decided to follow the sound after a few protests from Hao.

They saw a door that looked creepier than the other doors.

“Are you gonna open it??” Hanbin asked behind Hao.

“Hell nah you do it,” and who was Hanbin to refuse his princess?

He did as he was told.

“Damn…so spacious” Hao acknowledged.

Suddenly bloodcurdling screams were heard as a bunch of creatures surrounded them.

“AHHDHLSJFOI” Hao screamed, on the verge of tears.

“STOP STOP!!!”

“Hao hyung you run away, I will handle this!” Hanbin told the scared older.

“What?? I am not leaving you here alone!!” Hao cried out.

“I am gonna be fine Hao hyung. Listen to me and run!!!” Hanbin pleaded as Hao gave in running away while the monsters surrounded Hanbin.

After a few minutes, a ghost face checked outside to see no one.

“All good. He is gone now,” The ghost face said taking off his mask, revealing Gunwook.

“Goodness, y’all scared the shit out of him,” Hanbin told others who also took out their masks so they could breathe.

“We know lmao”

“He is gonna scold us later for sure”

“Definitely”

“Hey Ri! Hao nearly recognized you,” Hanbin said as Ricky looked at him in surprise.

“What?? How?!”

“He said that the height and silhouette look like yours. I told him that probably everything related to you reminds you of him. I reasoned the height of 184 cm is common but since it is also your height it reminded him of you. He answered ‘Yeah that’s probably it’,” Hanbin explained.

“Damn, he can tell it’s you by your silhouette?” Taerae scoffed in disbelief.

“It’s the tiny waist and broad shoulders” Gyuvin chuckled hugging the said waist.

“Real. The costume highlighted it. I dont blame him for thinking it’s Ricky. Good job at changing the topic tho,” Matthew said as he high-fived Hanbin.

“Here is the costume. Change quickly,” Jiwoong said handing him the costume.

Hanbin went and did as he said.

“I am jealous. I wanted that costume,” Yujin pouted making the others chuckle.

“You can wear it later you baby” Ricky teased.

“I am not a babyyy” Yujin whined as the others disagreed.

“I am 17!!”

“And I am 25. You are a child” Jiwoong concluded.

“Oh Jiwoong hyung I realized you can adopt him!!” Taerae pointed out.

“Why the fuck would I adopt a kid like him??” Jiwoong said the others laughed at that.

“Holy shi- Sorry, the costume just scared me,” Gyuvin laughed awkwardly.

“Let’s go?” Hanbin chuckled before saying.

Meanwhile…

It was safe to say Hao was scared.

Running away alone WITHOUT HIS HANBIN??

Yeah, he was fucked.

Hanbin was the reason why the experience wasnt so scary! Now that he was told to run away without him what was he supposed to do???

He walked around for what felt like hours, and at some point, he realized he was walking in circles.

But it’s Zhang Hao that we are talking about!!

He soon found another way and it led him to a hallway. At the end of the hallway on the door, there was written with bright red “Congratulations!”

“What the fuck are they congratulating me for??” Hao thought to himself confused before opening the door.

It looked empty at first when…

“AAHHHHHH” Hao screamed for the nth time, he tried to run away but something stopped him.

It was the monsters from before!!!

Seeing how Hao was on the verge of tears again the boys decided to stop.

“Surprise!!” The boys shouted after they took off their masks.

“I… What?? How is- Eh?” Hao stared in shock, unable to form words.

The scariest monster aka his boyfriend took out the cake and they started to sing him the happy birthday song.

“Happy birthday to youuu”

“How can y’all happy birthday me after y’all did all that???” Hao scoffed as the others laughed.

“Sooo how did you like our surprise??” Matthew asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

“Terrible. I hate you guys. Whoever’s idea was this is so dead.” Hao glared as everyone looked at Matthew who looked at the ceiling, suddenly finding it interesting.

“Still though. Thank you guys for the cake. I totally forgot about my birthday today. My phone was dead in the morning so if my parents and friends wished me I didn’t get their messages and-” Hao scratched the back of his neck before he froze.

“Wait- Yah!! It’s indeed Ricky!! No wonder Hanbin tried to change the topic,” Hao pointed at Ricky who twirled around in his costume.

“No but how did you know it was me??” Ricky asked still baffled.

“I just know you too well Rui. I stared at that figure for who knows how many years,” Hao said, others chuckling.

“You sound like an old person,” Yujin commented.

“Cause he is haha” Ricky joked while Yujin snickered high fiving his hyung.

“This is exactly why you are my favorite hyung,” Yujin said proudly.

“Yah! Shouldnt I be your favorite hyung since it’s my birthday today??” Hao said sassily.

“Fine just for today…” Yujin said making Hao cheer.

“You are still my favorite” Yujin whispered only for Ricky to hear which made him chuckle and hug him.

“Anyways. It’s gift time!!!”

“I am not opening any gifts HERE. Now can we please go home,” Hao pleaded.
