7:00 AM

“Happy birthday Matthew!!” Matthew’s parents wished him as soon as he woke up.

“Thank you, Mom and Dad.” Matthew smiled brightly hugging his parents.

“Happy birthday dumbass” Matthew’s older sister wished him when she entered the room and he thanked her too.

“Thanks, sis”

“Do you have a lot of classes today?” Matthew’s mom asked.

“Not really”

“Thats good. You can spend a lot of time celebrating then! Any plans for the afternoon?”

“Not really but I will probably hang out with my friends”

“OK enjoy honey!!”

“I will!!”

Time skip

At school

“Hey, guys!!” Matthew greeted cheerfully when he saw Gyuvin and Ricky at the lockers.

Gyuvin and Ricky though didnt say anything and just continued talking.

“Hm. Thats weird. Maybe they didnt notice me” Matthew wondered. 

He was about to approach them but suddenly he froze.

Gyuvin cupped Ricky’s face pulling him in for a passionate kiss.

Ricky was visibly surprised but soon closed his eyes kissing him back.

“Did they finally confess to each other? They are having their intimate moment…I should leave them alone and talk to them later,” Matthew thought to himself.

He would see the others after class so he shrugged it off and went to his classroom.

On the way though he saw Hao entering his own classroom and waved at him before he went inside.

“Hi, Hao hyung! ” Matthew greeted but Hao didn’t answer and entered his classroom.

“Huh? Did he not see or hear me? He did have headphones on… it’s fine I will greet him later” Matthew kept thinking.

The whole day at school Matthew was ignored left and right.

He kept convincing himself he would see them later at the cafeteria so it’s fine but…

They weren’t there.

When Matthew couldn’t see them anywhere he texted the group chat to ask if they could hang out after school but everyone already had something planned.

He could care less if the whole school ignores him but his best friends mean a lot to him.

He even wondered if he did anything wrong for them to avoid him.

Let’s just say he wasn’t really happy right now.

ring…ring…ring…

“Hello? ” was heard.

“Hey mom… “

“Hi, son! What happened? Do you need anything? Aren’t you supposed to be celebrating with your friends?” Matthew’s mom asked.

“They…They are busy” Matthew sighed trying his best to hide his disappointment not wanting to worry his mother.

“Oh…Ok! How about I pick you up and let’s celebrate at home all day?” She suggests cheerfully in an attempt to lighten up the mood.

“Yes please”

“Ok I’m on my way, honey”

After 15 minutes Matthew could see his mom parking in front of his school making him go up to her.

He went inside the car and they drove home.

Right when they arrived though Matthew’s mom got a phone call.

“Yes??…Oh…Ok, I will be there in 5 minutes.” She hung up.

“I am sorry honey. They need me at the office right now. I promise I will come as soon as possible to celebrate with you later ok?” Matt’s mom said.

“It’s fine Mom take your time” Matthew smiled as he got out of the car bidding goodbyes with his mom before he saw his mom’s car disappearing from his sight.

He sighed before going inside his house.

He opened the door.

🥳SURPRISE🥳

All of his friends were standing there waiting for him.

“Huh? ” was the only thing that escaped his mouth.

Matthew stared in confusion as the other member sang happy birthday to him bringing him a cake.

“Blow out the candles!”

And Matthew did, not before making a wish of course.

“Let’s eat cake and then open your presents!!” Hanbin suggests as the members push Matthew to sit down. Jiwoong was already putting a piece of cake on Matt’s plate.

Matthew was still processing what was happening so they explained everything making Matthew whine. 

While they were all chatting Matthew complained about how they betrayed him on his special day while the others laughed at his reaction.

“Sorry Matt it was Gunwook’s idea” Taerae exposed.

“Hey!! Gunwook how could you!” Matthew whined pouting.

He already felt betrayed but the fact that Gunwook came up with this idea made Matthew feel even more betrayed.

“Sorry Matthew hyung” Gunwook apologized but did not sound sorry at all making Matthew hit his arm.

“I cant believe this. You guys really did all that?! Yall are good actors though i genuinely thought i made yall mad.”

“Yes. And again dont worry. You didnt do anything wrong it was all fake.”

“Everything everything?” Matthew asked to be sure.

“Everything,” Hanbin confirmed. 

“Wait so Gyuvin and Ricky aren’t dating yet? was the kiss fake too??” Matthew asked in confusion.

“A KISS??!!!” Taerae shouted eyes widened.

“HUH??! WHAT? WHEN?” Gunwook asked with the same reaction as Taerae and all the others.

“YALL KISSED??!!” Yujin asked shocked.

The two were bombarded by questions about their kiss making them blush and avoid contact with each other.

“KIM GYUVIN??!!” Jiwoong looked at Gyuvin.

“I PANICKED OK??!! MATT WAS COMING OVER TO US SO TO MAKE HIM STOP I JUST DID-  UM THAT”

“THE FIRST THING YOU COULD COME UP WITH IS KISSING RICKY?!!! YALL ARE DEFINITELY DATING AND IF NOT YALL SHOULD NOW CAUSE YOU GUYS ARE EMBARRASSING YOURSELF” Matthew said so done with the couple.

“Wait wait wait did Ricky kiss back??” Hao asked.

“He did!!” Matthew confirmed.

“SHEN RICKY??!! DID YOU PANICKED TOO?!” Hao looked at Ricky in disbelief.

“I DONT KNOW I GUESS??!” Ricky answered nervously.

“GUYS CALM DOWN!! Let’s let these love birds solve it themselves but now Matthew! open your presents!!”

Time skip

“Thank you guys again for all of the gifts i love them!” Matthew smiled brightly at his best friends making them smile back.

“Of course Matt. Let’s enjoy Ricky and Matthew’s birthday celebration!!” 

“Wait how did you guys even plan this? ” Matthew asks confused (Matt is always confused dont ask me why).

“We used the group chat we used to plan Ricky’s birthday. We just removed you from it and added Ricky in. “

“Oh really?”

“Yeah. Didn’t you notice the group chat disappeared?” Gunwook questioned.

“I just thought y’all deleted it because the surprise was done. ” Matthew shrugged.

“Dumbass”
