After moments of discussing what to do and how to prepare for Ricky’s birthday surprise(s), they got right into it forgetting to text the main group chat in the meantime making Ricky confused.

“Weird they didnt text anything yet,” Ricky thought to himself while looking at his phone. 

No new messages.

“Maybe they are just tired today” Ricky shrugged before continuing to draw.

May 20th 

D-DAY 7:00 AM

Today was the day EVERYONE was waiting for…Ricky’s birthday!

It was Monday which was kind of a disappointment since it would be better to celebrate Ricky’s birthday on a non-school day but it’s fine.

Ricky tho didnt really feel any differently. He just woke up and did his daily routine.

When he was done he checked his phone and saw his parents and other friends wishing him happy birthday.

“Damn, I am 20 years old now. 1 year closer to death I guess” Ricky chuckled to himself before putting his phone in his pocket and picking his bag up before going to school.

Ricky never really had a big celebration for his birthday. It’s not that because no one cared or anything its because he said it was not necessary.

But with his new best friends he is about to experience the best birthday of his life.

“Hey Ricky!” Hao greeted him in the hallway.

“Hi, Hao hyung!” Ricky greeted back hugging each other as they started talking.

Hao didnt wish Ricky yet but Ricky didnt seem to mind.

“Oh by the way let’s go hang out after school?” Hao suggested as Ricky nodded.

“Yeah sure where?” Ricky questioned.

“At the park! Since our classes end differently let’s meet up there!” Hao said as Ricky nodded again.

After a few minutes of talking Ricky went to his classroom while Hao went to his.

While he was listening to the lecture Ricky couldn’t help but wonder how come he didnt see the others except for Hao yet but he shrugged it off.

After School

Monday isn’t really long for Ricky as he finished his classes pretty early.

He wanted to go home and change before going to that park and thats what he did.

While walking towards the park he noticed Hao wasnt there yet and as he was about to wait when he felt someone’s hand on his mouth.

“Hm!! Mm!!” Ricky tried to shout for help but got muffled by the hand as another pair of hands blindfolded him and taped his mouth.

The blond’s hands were tied and he couldn’t do anything.

“Is this how I am gonna die?? Kidnapped in the park?? On my birthday? Wow, what a day” Ricky thought to himself as he felt someone picking him up bridal style walking somewhere. 

Ricky has given up on trying to free himself at this point and just let himself be kidnapped cause what was he supposed to do??

He just hoped Hao wouldn’t be mad at him for being kidnapped when they were supposed to meet up at the park for the hangout.

The kidnapper was now putting him in the car and Ricky couldn’t help but wonder where they were going.

“Abandoned house or a mansion??” Ricky thought, hoping it was the latter.

After a few minutes, the car stopped.

“Oh we are here already?” Ricky was deep in thought.

His train of thoughts was cut off when he felt someone carrying him out of the car again.

He felt the kidnapper go up the stairs. He also knew there was more than one person because of the footsteps.

After some time it seemed like they got there because the person stopped walking and a click of the door opening was heard.

They went in and the kidnapper carrying him sat down with Ricky still in their arms making him sit on the kidnapper’s lap.

Suddenly the tape on his mouth was removed followed by the blindfold and…

🎉🎊SURPRISE!!!!🎊🎉

Saying Ricky was shocked would be an understatement.

He was flabbergasted.

He wasnt in a mansion or an abandoned building…

He was in his apartment which was nicely decorated with his best friends surrounding him.

The person who kidnapped him was…

“Gyuvin?” Ricky asked confused.

“Happy birthday!!!” Gyuvin laughed at Ricky’s surprised face hugging him.

Ricky looked behind them and he saw Gunwook and Yujin smiling. They were probably the ones who helped with the kidnapping.

“Are you surprised???” Matthew laughed as he spoke receiving no response from Ricky who just stared at him with his mouth hung open.

Ricky’s reaction made everyone laugh even harder before they calmed down and started singing.

“Happy birthday to you~ Happy birthday to you~ Happy birthday dear Ricky~~Happy birthday to you!!!” They all sang happily with Hanbin holding the cake in front of Ricky.

“Make a wish!!”

And Ricky did before he blew out the candles still confused.

“How did you like the surprise??”

“I… ” Ricky started but didn’t finish which made everyone laugh again.

“How did you guys even know it’s my birthday? ” Ricky asked confused

“Hao told us!” Matthew answered.

“Yepp! I even made a group chat to prepare the surprise for you! ” Hao declared proudly.

“The surprises were my idea tho! ” Gyuvin also flexed.

“Actually nearly everything was Gyuvins idea we just helped him make it happen,” Taerae admitted.

“I mentioned the kidnapping first tho!!” Yujin said proudly.

“That was your idea?” Ricky looked back at Yujin who nodded before smacking him lightly.

“Yah! I thought I was gonna die on my birthday! ” Ricky scolded as everyone laughed.

“Anyways! Ricky open up your gifts we have more surprises for you! “

“More?? You guys didn’t have to… You guys being here and the strawberry cake was enough… ” Ricky said.

“His love for strawberries is impressive” Taerae commented.

“Ayy don’t be ridiculous! Open the gifts!” Hanbin told the birthday boy.

“Open mine first!! ” jiwoong said excitedly.

“No open mine! ” Yujin glared at Jiwoong who glared back.

“I think my gift is the best actually,” gunwook said proudly.

“Um no? Mine is the best one obviously.”

“No mine is”

“Mine is actually.”

“How about we all put the gifts on the table for Ricky to choose himself?” Hao suggested and others agreed to do so.

After unboxing all the gifts he thanked the members.

“Thank you all so much for the gifts again!” Ricky thanked.

“Wait wait thats not it!” Gyuvin said taking out an envelope.

It was decorated with cute cat and strawberry stickers.

Ricky chuckled before opening the envelope and taking out the paper that was inside.

He began reading it and looked at the others confused.

“Concert, vacation, amusement park, picnic…what is this?” Ricky asked confused.

“Those are activities we’re gonna do for your birthday! Obviously, we cant do everything today but we can do all these things in a week or two! Let’s just say we will celebrate the whole week instead of one day” Gyuvin explained as Ricky stared at all the activities on the list.

They all looked so fun and Ricky was so excited just thinking about it.

“Thats…thats too much guys. You guys really didnt have to-” Ricky got cut off

“No, it’s really fine. Everything is already prepared!” Hanbin said.

“And Gyuvin covered like half of it others just paid for the other half so it’s really on Gyuvin who literally made the idea,” Taerae added.

Hearing that made Ricky look at Gyuvin.

“Gyuvinie you didnt have to do all that. I am really just happy that you guys are spending my birthday with me” Ricky looked at Gyuvin who just hugged him.

“I wanted to though. You really dont have to worry. Let’s have fun this week!” Gyuvin cheered as everyone followed.
