it’s safe to say you’re not exactly thrilled with gunwook’s antics at their recent fansigns.
“y/n why aren’t you talking to me.” gunwook whined, upset that you hadn’t said a single word to him since he came to see you. he inched closer towards where you were sat at the edge of the couch, testing the waters.
the boy was usually welcomed back from any schedule with lots of love. he couldn’t understand what he had done to deserve this silent treatment from you.
you rolled your eyes and stood up to go to the kitchen. you made sure not to make any eye contact with him, certain that just one look at his sparkly eyes would have you cracking in seconds.
you sigh and busy yourself with putting away the things you had used to make yourself a snack before he had arrived. you knew you were being childish but you couldn’t find it in yourself to care.
gunwook once again followed you, he wrapped his arms loosely around your waist, pulling you into his chest as his chin rests along the dip of your shoulder from behind.
you squeeze your eyes shut to avoid his gaze when he cranes his neck to look at you.
“tell me why you’re mad at me.” he said softly.
you can’t see him but you can tell he’s pouting.
gunwook chuckled at your closed eyes and lifts his chin up from your shoulder to swivel you around gently.
you decide it’s safe to open you eyes now as your face to face with his chest and don’t have to see his annoyingly cute pout, but then he swiftly moves his head into view.
“whatever it is i did…i’m sorry.” gunwook can’t help the way his lips twitch up into a smile as he watches your resolve begin to crack.
you groan and duck under him out of his grasp. “stop.”
gunwook grins triumphantly. “she speaks.”
you glare at him but it’s anything but threatening and in return he tilts his head at you in a puppy-like manner. “tell me what i did wrong so i can fix it.”
you click your tongue, “you can’t fix it.” you crossed your arms.
gunwook carefully unfolds your arms out and then holds your hands, he swings them back and forth. “please y/n, you know i can’t live without you talking to me.”
you laugh at that but it comes out a little bitter.
“why don’t you go ask one of the girls that came to the fansign to talk to you.” you mumbled haughtily.
it takes a while for gunwook to actually realise what you said. his eyes widened once he’s understood what this was all about and then he bursts into laughter.
you rolled your eyes once again and yanked your hands away from his to escape back to the living room.
“no y/n, wait.” he said in between giggles.
“it’s not funny.” you settle back down on the couch making sure to place two cushions beside you as a wall to keep gunwook away.
your boyfriend calms himself down and stops laughing but the smile on his face is still very much there and you would like nothing more than to gently slap it off his face.
you huff facing forward and gunwook sits on the other side of the couch not making any attempts to break through your makeshift barrier just yet.
he looks at you through the corner of his eye while giving you another moment or two to cool off. truth be told he also needed a couple seconds so he wouldn’t start laughing again and upset you further.
“y/n..” gunwook began calmly, however no matter how hard he tried to conceal his smile it was still present. he rested his elbows on your great wall of cushions and looked at you.
you turned towards him. “what?” you deadpanned, obviously irritated.
and gunwook purses his lips to prevent a laugh from escaping him again and you groan. “can you stop laughing. how would you like it if i went around flirting with other people.”
gunwook’s giggles are back again. “it’s just fanservice angel” he taps underneath your chin lightly to get you to look at him again. “you get the real deal.”
you blush at the nickname. “obviously i know that but i just— i don’t know. it’s stupid anyway.” you maintain eye contact with him for a few seconds and then look back down to your lap.
gunwook frowns when he notices it’s genuinely bothering you. “hey, i love you and only you. you know that right. i’d be lost without you. i nearly died after ten minutes without contact.”
you laugh at the last bit and raise your head again.
“i probably did go a little far. i just wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who supports me.” gunwook explains finally moving the cushions away to hesitantly wrap an arm around your shoulder and you let him.
you allow yourself to melt into his embrace. “a little far is an understatement.” you said nudging him with your elbow. “why’d you propose to someone.”
gunwook let’s out a breathy laugh as he scratches the back of his neck. “if it makes you feel any better i was thinking about you when i said it.” he sang jokingly.
you give him a pointed look. “why are you thinking about marriage so early. get a grip.”
now it’s gunwook’s turn to feel hurt. “you don’t want to marry me.”
“well not right now, we’re too young. are you crazy?” you laugh even more as his mouth fell agape.
gunwook sits up straight and looks down at you properly, his eyebrows furrow in confusion. “so you’re saying if i proposed to you right now you would say no?” he asked incredulously.
you giggle at his facial expression. “well yeah.”
your boyfriend gasped dramatically. “next thing you’re gonna admit you wouldn’t run away with me if i asked.”
“well—.”
gunwook pressed a finger to your lips to shush you. “you know what. don’t even finish that sentence. i don’t think i want to know the answer.” he pouted, blinking eccentrically as if he was trying to hold back tears.
you pull his finger away from your lips and chuckle at his dramatics.
“wow i’m seriously heartbroken right now..”
you have no idea how the roles had reversed in the past few minutes. now it was you grovelling for gunwook’s forgiveness.
“how can i fix it.” you inquire playing along with him as you hold his hand.
“a kiss might do something, i’m not sure though.” he tries to fight the grin making it’s way onto his lips after his proposition.
you nod and then give him a quick peck on the cheek. gunwook clears his throat. “ahem.”
“what? you didn’t specify what type of kiss.” you said playfully before poking his cheek.
gunwook sighed and tapped his bottom lip. “a proper one.” he looked especially cute now that you were actually looking at him. his hair was slightly messy and his cheeks their usual, natural rosy colour.
it was a wonder how your heart didn’t explode due to how adorable he was.
you lean towards him and place a soft kiss on his lips. it’s way too short for gunwook’s liking but still has his heart pounding against his chest nonetheless.
his eyes follow your lips as you pull away and you feel a sense of pride at the lovestruck look on his face. “better?”
his eyes twinkle with admiration and your smile just widens because despite all the sweet talking he did at the fansigns, you knew this look in particular was reserved for you and you only.
gunwook nods. “much.”
