Gyuvin x Y/N
Fluff
JEALOUSY Series
.
Gyuvin’s greatest charm lies in his personality. He has the ability to get people hooked once they get to know him properly. You weren’t really interested in him when you first knew him, but working alongside him as a staff member of Wakeone, his bubbly personality and pure heart attracted you over time. And being his girlfriend, you had the privilege to enjoy all his love and affection.
Although you’re not surprised to learn that he was popular among female idols, sometimes you can’t help but feel a teeny tiny bit of jealousy. But in the end, you believe in him and trust that he knows how to draw boundaries between him and the opposite sex.
You were talking to one of the stylists the other day when they told you about a newly recruited make-up artist in the team, and her intuition told her that the make-up artist had a thing for Gyuvin. Most of the staff knows about you and Gyuvin, but no one really talks about it. It’s one of those things they eventually catch on to over time.
“You’re not worried?” She asked you.
“If I have to worry about every single girl that likes him, I’ll be mentally exhausted. She’s going to find out one way or another.”
This day, Gyuvin and Gunwook had a duo magazine photo shoot. When you got to the studio, Gunwook was doing a solo shoot, so you automatically went to the waiting room to look for Gyuvin.
The door of the waiting room was half-closed, and you could hear the conversation going on inside.
“Gyuvin-ssi, let me fix your tie for you.”
“Thank you.” The animated voice came from none other than your boyfriend.
You thought it was an ordinary conversation between the stylist and Gyuvin, but what followed after made you stop in your tracks.
“Gyuvin-ssi, someone like you must be very popular. It’s rare to meet someone good-natured like you nowadays.” That was when you realised it was not the stylist but the new make-up artist that the stylist mentioned.
“Thank you? I guess?” Gyuvin was confused by her sudden compliment.
“I know it may sound a bit sudden, but I’m not the type to beat around the bush. It’d be great if we could get to know each other better.”
You felt a bit awkward sensing where that conversation was going, and it also felt inappropriate to continue to eavesdrop. Your body turned away before your mind told you to do so. You went out to monitor Gunwook’s shoot and pretended that nothing happened.
You and Gyuvin exchanged a smile here and there whenever your eyes met, but there wasn’t much interaction since you were still working.
Once you got back to the company after the shoot, he dragged you into one of the vocal practice rooms, and the first thing he did was pull you into a hug.
“You know people say humans need eight hugs per day to achieve mental stability, but I think I need more than that. One every eight minutes sounds better.” Gyuvin further tightened his arms around you.
“You must be very mentally unstable now.” His exaggeration got you giggling, and somehow it soothed the odd feeling you’ve been experiencing since overhearing the make-up artist’s confession a while ago. It was very different imagining it and directly hearing it for yourself.
The two of you ordered food to eat together. While waiting, he started practising and you just sat and gazed at him.
“I can’t focus with you staring at me like that.” Gyuvin protested.
“Then don’t.” You went over to him and sat on his lap, hugging his neck.
“You’re becoming more and more bold, Miss Y/N.”
You did as your heart desired and landed your lips on his, not giving a damn about the fact that the two of you were still at the company. Gyuvin, who had physical touch as his greatest love language, deepened the kiss without hesitation.
“You heard what happened in the waiting room, did you?” From the subtle changes in your behaviour, he was able to notice your unusualness.
“How did you come to that conclusion?”
“First, you get extra touchy when something’s on your mind. Second, you always look for me the first thing you enter a place to make sure that I’m aware of your presence, but you didn’t today.”
“What am I supposed to do when you can read me like a book? They say you need a hint of mysteriousness to keep a relationship going.”
“I personally think that saying’s crap. Ya, don’t divert the topic.”
“I only heard the bit in the beginning.”
“And you’re not going to ask me about it?”
“Ask you about what? It’s not like you accepted her confession, or did you?”
“Are you crazy?”
“Hahahaha exactly. I’m fine, Gyu. It just felt a bit weird to hear someone confess to you with my own ears.”
“You’re not jealous at all?”
“You sound like you want me to be jealous.”
“Maybe just a little.”
“I think you love me a bit too much for me to feel jealous.”
“Should I try and love you less from now on?”
“You can try.” You threatened with an eerie smile and stood up, moving away from him.
“It’s much easier to love you more and more.” He pulled you back right onto his lap. “It happens without trying.”
